Yakuza boss allegedly ordered assassination of nurse over failed genital surgery
He's got a small problem.
In court Monday, prosecutors charged that the 70-year-old boss of a Japanese crime syndicate arranged for the murder of a female nurse over his failed penis enlargement surgery.
According to the Japan Times, lawyers argued that Satoru Nomura, leader of the Kudo-kai, called for "organized retaliation" because he "unjustifiably resented the failed surgery."
The Yakuza chief got the procedure done at a cosmetic surgery clinic in August 2012, while the victim had been a member of the team responsible for the operation.
As she made her way home, the nurse was allegedly stabbed in the neck and chest the following January in Fukuoka, Japan by a former senior member of the gang. "The motive for the incident was a personal grudge on the part of Nomura," the prosecution said, according to the Tokyo Reporter.
Far from his first encounter with law enforcement, Nomura was accused of tax evasion and consequently had nearly $8 million taken from his bank accounts in 2015 while the year before saw him get charged with the shooting of a 70-year-old man in the back in public.
