SEPANG: There has been no new arrest over the murder of Kim Jong Nam, the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, says Sepang police deputy chief, Supt Baharuddin Mat Taib.

He said this when approached by reporters on whether there were new suspects held at the Sepang police headquarters (IPD) lock-up here.

He was met at the disposal of illegal gambling computers at the Sepang IPD yesterday, involving 1,700 sets of computers worth RM215,000 seized from 1,200 raids in 2015.

On Sunday, Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar said more arrests, including that of an important figure, would be made to facilitate investigations into the murder.

On Feb 13, Jong Nam was murdered by two foreign women after they had daubed his face with VX nerve agent when he was at the klia2 to catch a flight to Macau.

While the two women – one Indonesian and the other a Vietnamese – have been charged with murder, three North Korean men wanted by police are believed to be in hiding at the North Korean embassy in Kuala Lumpur, while four more suspects had fled the country on the day of the incident.
