Thursday, 30 March 2017 13 enforcement officers among 16 charged with bribery
PETALING JAYA: Thirteen people from various enforcement agencies and three others were charged in five states with demanding and accepting bribes.
Those charged yesterday were five Immigration officers, two Road Transport Department (JPJ) enforcement officers, two from the Domestic Trade and Consumerism enforcement division, four policemen and three members of the public.
In SHAH ALAM, three Immigration officers, a JPJ officer and a member of the public were charged at a Sessions Court with bribery.
One of them, from the Selangor Immigration Department (KLIA branch), claimed trial to accepting a RM7,400 bribe from a man last year.
M. Jayakumar, 29, is alleged to have accepted the cash from Pheh Khar Huat, to release two Vietnamese women, not to take any legal action against them and also to remove them from a list of people barred from entering Malaysia.

In MALACCA, a police sergeant at the Alor Gajah District Police headquarters, Rasyidah Onn, 26, was charged with soliciting and receiving bribes, totalling RM18,500, to release a man arrested for possession of ketum water.
She was allowed bail of RM9,000 in one surety and her case will be mentioned on April 27.
In IPOH, two former top-ranking officers in the Perak Immigration Department claimed trial in a Sessions Court to two charges of corruption each.
The department’s former director Zulhairin Yahya, 49, and prosecution head Zaidi Dali, 45, were charged with soliciting a RM10,000 monthly bribe for themselves and additional RM11,000 as an inducement not to carry out checks or raids on an entertainment outlet in Seri Manjung.
In JOHOR BARU, three policemen – Kons S. Logeshvaran, 31, Kons Rhomarino Rafie, 33, and Insp Isa Ahmad, 30 – pleaded not guilty at a Sessions Court to seeking a RM20,000 bribe from a man as inducement not to take action against him for hiring illegal foreign workers.
Their case will be mentioned on May 8.
In ALOR SETAR, five people – two Domestic Trade and Consumerism Ministry enforcement officers, a JPJ officer and two members of the public were charged at the Sessions Court with bribery.
Four of them claimed trial, while one member of the public pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a day’s jail and fined RM5,000 or five months’ jail in default.

yg kes sorang sprm bangsa india, mualaf, pukul bini tu apehal.
kes kat kedah yg polis kena gari tu sebenarnya kes dendam. sbb pegawai sprm yg menangkap polis tu pernah kena tangkap sbb kes dadah dgn polis tu. nasiblah terlepas sbb dia kata dia sdg bertugas masa amik dadah tu. keperluan tugas katanya. wth pegawai sprm amik dadah pastu keperluan tugas. perlu ker. tangkap org yg memberi dan menerima rasuah jer pun. bukannya pengedar dadah.
menjadilah sgt kan...hehe....
