I am not siding anybody in this but I think Seph should study the history of the three provinces in Southern Thailand first before making any comments.

Excuse me, which historical data shows that Thai Muslims have ANY rights to protest about anything in South Thailand?
Historically, they have no rights to fight for anything in South Thai or Mindanao for that matter. They are traitors to their countries, same as Al Muanahs were to this country couple of years ago. And traitors must be dealt with death.

Good suggestion. Malaysia is being "penyibuk" with this issues (especially with traitor fractions in various countries like Filipines, Thai and Kashmir. They should just import this people here if Malaysia government so itch to help. ;) |

They didn't have a right to protest as you agreed and they did it anyway and got shoot in the process. Furthermore, they didn't just protest, they also raised weapons and that's treason ... same as Al Muanah did in Malaysia.
And WHAT historical fact state that Patani was a Malay state? Do you think such nonsense could last 5 seconds in the world court? NO, do you know why?
1. "Malay" state didn't exist till some 1900s and the word "Malay" itself only appeared after Independance in 1948.
2. Thailand and Malaysia border is established and agreed upon by both parties. WHO are this people ... hell, WHO are you do question that now?
3. Thailand's long history shows that it has more rights to Patani than Malays did. In one time (up to 1600s), the Northern side of Malaya like Kedah, Terengganu, Perlis and part of Pahang were under Thai monarch and this states frequently send "Bunga Emas" as ufti to Thai. By right, Thai could easily claim those states are theirs also and launch a guerilla war to regain it. They don't do it because they respect Malaysia's border.
4. Being Muslims doesn't means everything belongs to you. |

Right ... My mistake. Malaysia is the 2nd "penyibuk" in the world.
And I agree also ... sending troops won't change anything. This is internal problem of Thailand (and Filipines) and they should be allowed to handle the matters themselves.
Hmmm ... it seems that US still hangs onto the "Domino Effect" fear despite of been proven that it doesn't happen and they have forgotten their defeat in Vietnam. |

I think those militants deserve to die and its good that Thailand adopted a no nonsence stance towards them. The best method is still the Chinese way of dealing with seperatism and brought progress to the country. |

Simple say, some might use the current issue of terrorism to commit crimes, and use it like as though it is an uprising, might also be true. True or not we do not know but one thing is for sure, Thai government have the backing to curb this violance and there shall NOT be any seperate land. |

However, Malaysia is a peaceful country, in general and there will not be refugees. Thank for the offer. As a symbol of good will, I believe the Datuk Seri Pak Lah's administration will also offer refuge to Singapore citizens if they are invaded or if there is chaos. |
