Who is Salman Abedi?
Abedi, aged 22, is reportedly the son of Libyan refugees who had fled from the Gaddafi regime.
Abedi was born in Manchester in 1994 and is the second youngest of four children.
He grew up in the Whalley Range area, close to a local girls' high school.
Who are his family?
His mum and dad Samia Tabbal, 50, and security officer father, Ramadan Abedi, apparently initially lived in London, before moving to Fallowfield, Manchester, at least 10 years ago.
After giving birth to two sons, Abedi's parents had another son now 20, and daughter, now 18.
Abedi's sister Jomana, who appears to have two Facebook profiles, reportedly attended Whalley Range High School before apparently working at Didsbury Mosque in 2013.
On her profile she says she is from Tripoli and has Libyan connections.
Was he acting alone?
Greater Manchester police are currently probing whether Abedi was a lone wolf or acting as part of a wider terror cell.
GMP's Chief Constable Ian Hopkins said: “The priority remains to establish whether [Abedi] was acting alone or as part of a network.”
Where did he live?
Abedi reportedly lived at an address in Elsmore Road, Fallowfield, which police raided today.
Armed officers raided his address today, ordering shocked residents indoors as they carried out a controlled explosion.
Detectives, accompanied by bomb disposal soldiers, raided properties in Fallowfield and Whalley Range and arrested a 23-year-old man.
Greater Manchester Police wrote on Twitter: "With regards to last night’s incident at the Manchester arena, we can confirm we have arrested a 23-year-old man in South Manchester.”
