Assalamualaikum warga forum.
Selamat menjalani ibadah puasa semua.

Tengah berbuka yg tak seberapa tadi teringat dulu masa keje hotel mewah di xxxx area segitiga emas klcc.

Jadi tukang masak kat salah satu gerai2 je masak pasta. Around pkl 9.30 tutup semua punya laaaaaaaaaaaaa banyak makanan yg xberusik pun lagi kat gerai2 yg lain. Tak terlarat nak makan. Last2 buang. Bungkus tak boleh. Setiap hari macam tu. Tu baru 1 hotel. Semua hotel sama je sop tak habis buang. Depa dah untung dah per head guests semua tu.

Then try buka sendiri kat hotel mewah area tu jugak sebagai guest. Not bad rm180 per head. Ramai sangat orang. Memang mewah la dengan ais krim haagan daz (betul ke eja ni) free flow kat dalam peti tu. Scoop sendiri. Macam2 jenis lauk ada. Memang heaven. Makan sampai tak larat nak bangun. In fact tak banyak mane pun sebenarnya portion per head amek tu. In the end tak habis pun buang je.

Takde ke inisiatif gather all the food yg tak usik tu letak kat somewhere untuk org makan rather than buang camtu je. Dah letak if tak habis jugak baru la buang. Sayang la all the food semua tu.

diorg takde provide food waste reduction ke?contohnye levy charge pada guest yg waste food ni?

Dia bukan guest yg waste tapi food yg hotel provide every day let say weekday 100pax per day. Tapi yg datang 50pax. So yg lebih tu waste. Buang.

Kat oversea ade hotel yg collaborate dengan restaurant so that dalam pukul 10pm camtu hotel akan delivery waste food yg tak usik lagi tu or even yg lebih but still consumable & of course yg tak boleh nak simpan till esok.

The restaurant can choose either want to sell those foods sangat2 murah or just let those yg nak makan for free as kerja amal. At least tak la terbuang camtu je kan.
Tapi yela all is costs kan. People tend to do for money. Someone should make the 1st move. Bincang dengan hotel2 ni semua. Gov bagi incentive to those hotel yg contribute ke. Pick 1 place even macam kantin sekalipun just kerusi panjang & meja untuk tempat those food to be collected. It can be done.
