Hanya 8.42 peratus Bumiputra ada professionally-qualified accountant

GEORGE TOWN: Only 1,686 of the 20,032 professionally-qualified accountants in the country are bumiputras.
That works out to just 8.42%, said Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani .
To increase this number, he said the Accountant-General's Department was collaborating with local universities and professional accountancy bodies.
"It is the global industry practice for chartered or public accountants to have professional qualifications on top of their academic degrees.
"I call on all public sector accountants to upgrade themselves to match the challenging industry in accordance with market demands," he said at the launch of the National Public Sector Accountants Conference 2017 at a hotel here on Tuesday.
About 450 accountants from all levels of the public sector were gathered for the two-day conference, held bi-annually.
Also present were Accountant-General Datuk Che Pee Samsudin and Bank Negara Governor Datuk Muhammad Ibrahim.

Bleh keje as Akauntan kat hospital swasta,airport,airlines,banking,gomen,logistic,manufacturing,education (keje kat private college) etc |

aku la salah sorg ade professional cert mewakili melayu..hehe..tp xguna pun..sb aku keje opis..xpakai sgt cert..unless nk bukak firm..berguna la cert ni..
aku pun klu leh nk anak aku keje akauntan..ikut jejak aku dan suami..mmg x dinafikan..keje bidang ni x terkesan dek ekonomi..laki aku dr keje akauntan dia pegi keje project manager pulak..dia tuka keje ms baru2 ni je ms tgh gawat..dia ckp da bosan buat akaun..siap dpt naik gaji lg lbh 1k..xde kene mengena pun..tp once ade knowledge handle budget..bole msuk mana2 bidang belaka la..except jd doktor, engineer, lawyer yg totally lain bdang xleh la..tp kalau keje opis..org akaun ni leh msuk mana2 post je..

aku ckp aku nyampah je tgk terms tu.
skrg byk software fullset accounting..why susah2..cuma kena comply to legal accounting procedure.
ckup masa year end kena hadapla segala mak nenek terma2 tersebut utk audit. audit pula kena tally dgn transaction. lama2 snangla keje.

i dgn husband 2-2 akauntan..tp blk umah kitaorg mcm jd bodo 1 acctg term pun xnak ingat..hehe..maybe jd akauntan time keje je kot..kuar dr tu da malas nk 'kira bulu kambing'..org akaun ni rajin 'kira bulu kambing'..xckup 100 helai..maka patah blk mengira smpi ckup dpt 100 lai..tu yg bila kuar je dr opis..plss jgn sebut lg psl akaun..hehe..
i dgn kwn2 yg sama2 akauntan pun kalau jumpa lepak pls jgn sembang psl keje..

Depends jgk la Software ape yg company gune..kalau ERP software mcm SAP or Oracle still kene pakai excel jgk utk prepare financial reporting..especially utk Project accounting..blum lagi msk bab analisis semua..klu semua expect system yg run utk semua baik company hire bdk2 lepasan diploma je utk post accountant..jimat overhead cost utk company..x payah byr gaji mahal2...

lagi satu most of bdk2 account nie sgt detail and particular a lot of things...especially bab2 kira mengira..mmg x boleh nk propa la dgn bdk2 account
