I paste here lah to ask for opinion.
About my hubs relative punya anak.
Anak 1st. 2y 7m boy.
Never utter any single word since baby, till now.
I tak reti nk tell her directly to go for further check ups.
But recently i met her and she said dah pergi jumpa doc and the doc said her anak is normal.
No prob at all.
I tak sure which doc she went to.
And how many docs she met.
Biasa kita nak 2nd opinion jgk kan.
She said doc buat all test like giving instructions and the boy can follow the instruction.
Its just that he didn't say any single words yet.
But the doc said normal, tak bisu.
I cuma pelik sbb kalau ikot signs of speech delay, by 18m (1y 6m) at least dh ada few words kan.
How come 2y 7m, not a single words coming out from his mouth, but doc tak buat further examination on him.
I did ask her, did the doc do that checklist thingy ?
I am referring to the M-chart .
She said yes to it.
But again doc said normal.
Other than that, that boy is still kutip2 habuk, makan batu, pasir and all benda2 pelik.
If that is for a baby below 1y, maybe that is normal kan ?
For the parents, they believe that their son is having a disease , something like sihir or paranormal.
I would highly recommend them for another check ups with a paed.
Diorang duduk kwsn agak kurang membangun. But the parents are teachers. I dont know how aware they are about things we should care of.
My concern is kesian the boy.
He seems lost in his own world.
No eye contact.
No words being uttered.
Still kutip2 habuk n all and put into mouth.
From my random observation, these red flags symptomps below mmg ada.

Again the prob is i have no idea how to tell them directly. Sbb dia ckp dh gi jumpa doc n normal.

Pdhl hado.. mcm kwn hakku duk heboh bgtau anak dia diasleksia sampai tak disekolahnya budak tuu dan buat homeschooling.. i tanya cmn tau anak diasleksia.. dia ckp from her observation.. hakku test anak dia leh je membaca mengira.. lantak komelaa |

Peliknya. Biasa parents yg in denial lps doc diagnosed.
Kwn u tu diagnose sendiri. Pastu canang sluruh alam pula. Padahal anak dia persis normal sahaja kn. |

Itulaa hakku lak naik kesian tengok budak tuu.. mungkinlaa bodo skit tapi tak leh jump to diasleksia.. duk heboh nak budak tuu meniaga sbb budak tuu diasleksia.. hakku ckplaa biarlahh budak tuu yg decide sendirik nak jd happe.. karier ni kena ikut interest budak tuu jugak.. |

takde. tunggu besor je. anak i dulu tinggal kejap dgn tokwannya i masuk mandi. abahnya balik tgk anak tgh kunyah benda. tgk tgk ada getah sayur dlm mulut. kusss semangat |

Ank iol dlu pun mngutip gak. Petua org bg sruh letak halia hiris nipis ckt. Tabur bbrapa kping kt lntai. Bila ank kutip, dorng akn rsa serik dah nk kutip. Msa buat ni, parent kna mnitor. Yg xtahannya, ank iol siap mkn n kunyah halia tu mcm sdap plk
Slps taktik halia ggal, iol letak peria plk. Hiris nipis2 peria n tabur kt lntai. Berjaya dgn cmrlang. Lpas bbrapa kli ltak peria, ank da berenti mngutip |

cer surih parents dia senaraikan berapa banyak perkataan yg dia faham
dan berapa banyak perkataan dia faham dan ujar
dia nyer kelahiran normal ke? ade jaundice ke?
bagaimana dengan usia dia mula jln etc ? okay ke?
2 years 7 months kekanak yg normal dah boleh cakap defoinitely satu patah dah , at least perkataan yg biasa dia dengar seharian dah oleh faham dan ujar ...2 ; 7 months usually two words
kalau nak uji dia faham tak arahan
first jgn bagi hints apa apa suruh dia ambik benda yg diletakkan depan dia , dan bagi arahan : ambik x kasi ...
jgn tunjuk, jgn bagi hints
dan u tetambah objek dan buatkan arahan yg semakin susah sikit
boleh tak?
kita nak tengok dia process...
selalaunya 24 bulan ke atas - single command dah boleh
boleh nasihatkan parents dia check ke? paeds
pendengaran normal tak ?

Masa dia baby, he was ok. 7 months dah pandai wave good bye and all.
The parents started to compare with my daughter,when they were 1y 5m. Sbb diorg tgk my daughter dh kenal alphabet n phonics n said it out loud etc masa tu.
Masa tu anak dia baru 1y 6m ( a month older than my daughter ). So i said thats ok. Give some time. Eventually, he will talk.
Tp now the boy dh 2y 7m pon still gitu . Ditambah lg dgn perbuatan still kutip2 atas lantai, habuk etc.
Kesian. I kesian sgt.
The boy now sama phase with his little sister (7m). 7m normal lah suka kutip2 masuk mulut kan. Sbb belum fhm. Tp 2y7m is almost 3y.

His parents said doc kata hearing test ok. Defo tak deaf n bisu.
Its just dia tak sebut any words yet.

plastisin brand apa tu.. could be poisonous as well kalau xkena ingredients but dah keluar melalui najis tu ok la sikit tu hope the baby gets well soon! |

Kdg2 jns mengutip ni..x ksh la ape2 pn die kutip...anything pn masuk mulut. Remote..mainan..brg2 yg die nmpk sume masuk mulut..
Bkn maksud umh tu sepah je..anak i mmg jns kutip...tu yg i kne extra alert..msinan je yg sepah2 kt umh..brg2 lain ktorg dh aware.

i would plead u to please ask the parents to go for thorough developmental assessment : tengok dia nyer physical / gross motor , fine motor , thinking mental / cognition - ni kena clinical / child psychitrist or psychologist
tolong dapatkan as soon as possible slot
kalau kena intervention ade je health professionals yg boleh bantu.
kalau parents dia mampu boleh gi private, pi je check.
