[Tempatan] Stress dengan kerja antara punca kesihatan rakyat merosot

PETALING JAYA: The work environment in the country has contributed to poorer health among Malaysians which in turn has led to lower productivity, according to a workplace survey by an insurance giant.

The study revealed that Malaysian employees were overworked, stressed, led unhealthy lifestyles, and as a result, were at high risk of health problems and loss of productivity.

The “Malaysia’s Healthiest Workplace by AIA Vitality Survey 2017”, which surveyed a total of 5,369 employees from 47 organisations, also revealed that more than half of employees surveyed were found to be at risk of mental health issues.

“Some 53% of Malaysian employees reported at least one dimension of work-related stress, while 12% experienced high levels of anxiety or depression.

“High work stress and a sedentary lifestyle had also contributed to 84% of employees reporting at least one type of musculoskeletal disorder,” the report said.

A musculoskeletal disorder refers to injuries or pain in the human musculoskeletal system, which includes the joints, ligaments, muscles, nerves, tendons, and structures that support the limbs, neck and back.

As a result, the survey said a direct link could be found between poor employee health and well-being, and a major loss in organisation productivity.

This comes at a cost too, as the average annual cost incurred per organisation due to health-related absenteeism and “presenteeism” was estimated at RM2.7 million.

“Presenteeism” is when an employee is physically present for work despite being sick or not being productive.

The survey on the Malaysian workplace was part of a wider study which included three other countries – Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia – and which covered 214 organisations and 10,001 employees in total.

Malaysians were found to work an average of 15 hours more than their contracted hours each week, the highest rate compared with the other three countries.

However, the extra hours did not contribute to greater productivity as the survey showed Malaysian employees showed one of the highest percentage of productivity loss.

Malaysians were also reported to have the highest percentage among employees who slept less than seven hours a night at 56%, and the highest percentage of physical inactivity with 64% doing less than 150 minutes of physical activity a week.

Ai tak stress dgn kerja, ai stress dgn orang kat tempat kerja. So sekarang ai amik keputusan untuk jadi anti social. Buat kerja saja, taknak bergaul lebih-lebih. Lebih tenang begini. Sebab ai bukan kaki sembang, shopping, bodek bos, mengular. Bos suka org yg bodek dia. Tapi ai tak reti. Takpe la, bos tu nanti menjawab la kat akhirat.

boss i pon jenis org bodek dia..actually mana2 boss pon sama je..last2 i pon amik pendekatan buat je keje..sembang cket2 je dgn colleague hi hi bye bye gitu je..pi keje blk keje ckup masa amik cuti pi jalan2..cara nk release stress dgn pegi jalan2 ja for me..dan jugak workout..kalau time busy nk mati especially time closing, lepas closing mmg i ajak anak2 n hubby jogging..lega rs bdn ringan je pastu kalau pon kat penimbang x ringan sgt kan..hahaha

maaf, tapi cara tu macam akan buat jadi stress juga je? bila tak bodek bos, maknanya kpi tak naik. bila kpi tak naik, tak dapat bonus. bila tak dapat bonus, kita makan hati bila tengok rakan kerja lain berhuhu haha joli sakan dengan duit bonus.

handle strees cara lembut tak jalan, kita kasi jalan kasar terutama org yg bikin stress

kita ada skop kerja yg agak banyak dan terbeban tetapi diorg company D & O semua keji
meeting ka diskus ka ada saja mau berdebat bertekak nak hempuk, kerusi terbang, pintu kena tumbuk, mmg x boleh kontrol, seperti pesta keganasan gituh, ada ramai mnager2/staf yg tak tahan terus resign.
ituhari si babi celaka itu nak cepat2 minta claim, ai hantar claim dah sign pergi pejabat D ai buka pintu terus campak dokumen 6 meter dari pintu ke meja diorg, terdiam 15 org staf yg sedang berborak2 x buat kerja itu termasuk bos mereka
ada staff diorg yg baru masuk kerja tunjuk eksen nak diskas dgn ai kunun padahal ketika itu beratur 5 org depan meja nak itu ini urgent, sekali ai hempuk dan terajang beliau, terus x berani jumpai ai lagi, comapany D & O lantik ramai2 staf ingat meringankan kerja setelkan masalah tapi menambah masalah adala. sama juga staff sorang lagi yg tak faham job scop org lain asik mengacau diskas sana sini konfius sana sini siap ajak staff company D & O berjemaah diskas sana sini, cukup waktu kul 5.30 balikkkk, kerja ai sendiri x siap2 sampai kena tutup henpon kunci pintu baru kerja siap. babi sangat, beliau kemudian stress sendiri sbb asik konfius2 benda simple pun konfius2 lagi, terus resign beliau. beliau ai maki cukup2.
ada staf ofis yg ingat kita hnaya buat kerja a,b,c saja tetapi tak tahu kita buat kerja d,e,fg,h,i,j,k,l,m,n,o kita spend masa 8 jam utk kerja melayan/mengejar/ berkaitan org2 ofis, staf, bos, manager, pekerja2 bawahan, pihak 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, sehingga kerja2 paperwork yg tak melibatkan org dibuat selepas jam 5.30ptg, ai maki hamun kat ofis wakaka
ada sorang lagi asik sibukkan perkara kecil asik berdebat dgn bos2 tunjuk hebat konfius sana sini hujung2 resign. ai memaki hamun asik melayan company D & O punya permintaan itu ini akan menyebabkan sampai ke malam/pagi kena kerja, babi celaka betul, ai pergi bawa tukul besi hempuk dnding ofis mereka, tak boleh pukul org pukul dinding la, wakaka

kiata buat kerja yg termampu walau ahad kadang2 datang kerja 3-4 jam, jika pihak tertentu tak puas hati hasil kerja ai cakap sila jumpa bos suruh buang ai, takde pula yg berbuat sedemikan, ai boleh kutip undian2 dari staf yg setuju yg tak setuju. kemudian ai saja2 hantar surat resign yg ai dengan alasan2  company D &O itu begitu kejam jahat babi celaka, tup2 bos tak bagi resign, gaji dinaikan dan meeting ka diskas ka tiba2 terus senyap tiada gaduh maki2 tiada baling tukul besi lagi dan kemudian bos hire 2 manager utk mengurangkan beban ai -manager itu tak tahan jugak wakaka, takut pula bos company D &O kehilangan ai sbb diorg semua x mahir pakai sofware itu/tiada  org yg melihat kerja teknikal 1-2 bulan ke hadapan,  wakaka. setengah diorg itu ada makan gaji buta, ada kehendak2 kerja pun tak tau, setelah aduan, bos besar mereka spy dan tanya itu ini kenapa itu ini, mengelupur diorg mencari jawapan dan sebab2 lantas datang jumpa ai, ini youoll punya project takkan tak tahu  sambil mencari tukul besi dalam drawer tak jumpa, babi betul sapa sorok tukul besi ai

Yes, stress sbb kita yg buat kerja akan diberi kerja bertimbun-timbun, sedangkan yg pemalas dan kaki mengular boleh mengular setiap hari dgn gembira. Bangga lagi dpt title expert tapi org nampak dia balik shopping pukul 3.00pm. Kita report kat bos, bos maki kita balik dan malukan kita dlm meeting.

Ya, itu je la caranya. Takpe, kita buat saja kerja kita dgn integriti. Bos tak nampak, tapi Allah nampak. Bos tu ingat dia punya kuasa sama mcm Tuhan ke? Hujung-hujung dia pencen, nobody will remember him/her anymore. Sekarang tgh pegang kuasa, semua mengendeng. Nanti menjawab la dgn Tuhan kenapa berlaku zalim. Org yg betul2 buat kerja ditindas, yg kaki sembang pagi sampai petang, siap dpt title expert.

Pekerja yang jenis wayang cina selalunya prosper... kaki bodek, buat keja sikit amik gambar sent dlm group whatsapp.. konon2 dia la bagus buat keja.. poodahcit!! Orang macam ni yang buatkan pekerja yang genuine bekerja jadi stress..

tu la sama la jgk klu x buat keje x amanah n so on tu allah nmpk jugak..so just do apa yg ptt buat..yg pntg kalau stress kne pandai2 la cr cara camne nk reduce..

rezeki bkn takat wang ringgit je..ada kat opis i akak senior da 50an dah keje dgn co i dkt 20thn dah..tp boss pndg sepi je smpi increment tiap2 thn xsmpi 100 hengget pon..tp i tgk dia even x di hargai dr segi keje..tp life dia ok sgt..anak dia ada 4org..so far belum lg ada yg jd mat rempit..hehe..yg sulung belaja dpt scholarship pwc abis belaja terus keje dgn pwc..smbg acca pon opis tanggung..yg 2nd n adik2 msh belaja uni n mrsm n sek sains..kira semua excel dlm studies walaupon dia n suami dia blk lambat hari2 sb keje jauh kan..hari2 tapau je mknan dr kedai mkn dr kecik smpi beso..xgaduh nk risau gluten lebih ke homecook ke yada2..anak2 still excel eventhough maknye keje tarap kerani je..kesihatan pon ok..umur 50an laki bini tp i xdgr lg dia masuk spital sb sakit jantung darah tggi or kne kanser tetek n such..hehe..tu consider appreciation from 1 above the skies kan walaupon manusia setarap xnmpk n x appreciate pon..

Unfortunately I work in a government agency. My voice will not be heard. Sebab kalo kita gi report kat unit integriti, diorg akan tanya balik pada Pengarah, Pengarah tanya pada Ketua Pusat/Unit, and this Ketua Pusat/Unit akan cakap everything is okay, walaupun kita dah tunjuk segala bukti.

Yes, my bf said the same thing. Yg buat kerja elok-elok semua ni hidup aman-aman saja. Yg bermasalah ni, kita nampak dah beberapa benda tak elok jadi kat diorg.

I pun pernah dengar ustaz bagi ceramah kes macam ni lah jugak. Kakak tu ngadu tak pernah dihargai di tempat kerja, tapi bila ustaz tu tanya pasal anak2 terus akak tu brighten up. Rupa2nya anak2 dia semua menjadi.

boss i jenis kwn sblh i ‘diagnose’ dia as asperger..dia mcm xda emphaty..kalau staff bwhan dia sakit msuk spital..dia bkn nk tnya kita ok ke dak? sakit apa bla bla..i pnh la warded smggu sb demam virus..tgh kne jd lab rat sb doc xtau i kne infection kat mana..tgh bertempur dgn suhu 39’c..tetiba boss i msg tnya psl keja..file tu mana file ni mana? pdhal semua tu ada je kat opis yg dia ada excess yg sama! nape tnya i yg tgh sakit menggigil tu! hangin i time tu..

ms bulan posa..kan ke time kul 3-5ptg tu kita dah full swing tenaga pon nk abis dah..so jln pon lambat la cket..ms i peknen 2nd baby pon ms da sarat tu jalan slow gak..boss i leh ckp dia expect i akan jd sprinter at anytime mcm dulu..siap ckp..jgn jd kan alasan peribadi utk x performed keje ( puasa n pregnant ni bg dia peribadi)..i time lunch i xnk kuar nk duk kat meja ( unfortunately i duk exactly sebelah dia, no cubicle) dia akan tnya2 psl keje walaupon jam time tu kul 1ptg..i tgh makan pon selalu dia mencelah tnya2 psl keje walaupon time tu lunch hour..dia sejenis gila keje..da 54yo n single lg..chinese lady..so dia mmg xkan paham n xkan ada empathy bab mcm mana emosi preggy n such..

pastu dia ni kalau deadline reports i 5-6hb, 2-3hb dia da start tnya reports i da siap lum? pdhal sah2 la belum deadline..pastu bila i bg je apa i ada..dia marah2 ckp nape x siap bla bla..sekali marah tu siap sebut keje main2 mcm mana i bg anak2 i mkn dgn hasil keje main2..pedih gile!

pastu kalau jd isu apa2 kat opis..psl keje..dia paling suka bg blame game..dia balik2 duk ungkit nape jd mcm tu bla bla instead of cr jalan mcm mana nk cr jalan..mcm i jenis, bnda dah jd..xyah tnya lg dah nape bnda tu jd, buang ms je..i lg sibuk pk camne nk buat ps tu?? solution camne kan..boss i xde..dia lg sibuk pk nape bnda tu jd..tu i yg selalu bergado dgn dia..tp paling xleh bla..even boss cam gini..i leh lg stay dgn dia smpi 6thn..hahaha..staff before i keje dgn dia 1thn je..pastu xtahan blah je..i je sanggup..tp i rs i sdiri da smpi max..i bg masa kat diri i smpi thn ni je..ckup la 6thn..thn dpn dia da 55thn..n she is about to go..dia duk ckp kat staff2 lain pon dia da nk retire..so i tgk smpi thn dpn je camne..kalau dia still proceed keje smpi 60, x retire awal pon..i la kene retire kot..huhu..sb tu thn ni i da start dump byr keta smpi abis, cc byr abis..tggl loan umah je. tu pon i da sewakan..punya la duk stand by kot2 i yg benti thn dpn..hehehe

I mean say it for yourself..Self employed is the best thing ever..kerja dr rumah saya xpernah stress2 sis..kalau cemuih kluar jalan2..pastu balik smabunh keeja..
