Adakah menyewa 'Travel Wifi' perlu semasa melancong?

Hai sahabat forum,
Nak tanya pendapat semua...pernah tak sewa 'Travel Wifi' semasa nak pergi melancong ke luar negara? kalau pernah, jenama apa yang digunakan? dan line nya terbaik atau tidak?

Baru baru nie kami sewa travel recommends nyer pocket wifi selama 15 hari di korea and sgt disappointed dgn service nya. Baru hari kedua di korea dah xdapat connection and seterusnya memang failed to get any connection. Bila report to technical team yg only can be contacted via whatsapp pun xde apa yg diorang boleh buat. Sampai sekarang diorang refund only the deposit paid and kata nak check data usage tp sampai sekarang still x settle settle. |

Saya tak perlu pocket wifi untuk navigation. Saya guna off-line map apps seperti 'HERE we go' & sebagai backup, Google offline map. No data connections required. Saya sudah guna "HERE maps' di Italy, England, Oman, Australia, Scotland dan alhamdulillah beribu2 km pemanduan, tidak pernah sesat. Technology offline cangih sekarang.
Jika untuk ber WhatApp atau FB, mana ada masa time kita tengah jalan2. Bila balik hotel, dah ada masa lapang baru kita guna free hotel wifi. Pernah sekali guna pocket wifi di England, tapi banyak places 'signal drop' kerana luar coverage (macam h/p) & battery tak tahan lama. Kalau nak car charger, kena bayar extra. Jika you guna Waze untuk navigation, memang kena ada data connection, no choice. If signal is lost, so are you.

I pun guna travel recommends so far no problem. Dah guna kat japan & europe alhamdulillah ok. Kalau guna travel recommends pocket wifi after 24hours dia akan bengong then kita kena tekan reset button kat pocket wifi tu pastu akan ok balik. Cuma last year dia bagi skali dgn powerbank, this year takde dah dgn powerbank. Kalau nak powerbank ada extra charge |

Kitorang dh try reset pocket wifi tue and try segala method yg direk tecnical team diorang tp failed gak. Tue terkilan sgt and mebi sim card tue itself problem. Incident ni jadi masa kitorang gi korea decond week december nie. Technical
Team bgtau yg nrtwork kat korea problem tue jadik mcm tue. Memang 15 hari tue tak dapat lamgsung connection. |

Ai pulak download maps.me terus lepas x leh connect. Alhamdulillah ok and lepas tue memang stick together je bila jalan sama sama. Even kat seoul ingat dah ok tp bila try reset segala still x ok. |

U patut minta refund balik. Takkan la the whole 15days xde network kat korea yg serba maju tu. Must be wifi tu yg problem |

Yes we did request for refund tp they kept saying they need to liaise with their technical team and only theyied deposit. And when we asked what is the TAT and how long they gonna take to check , they just reply that they need “little time”. This is the justification that they came up with in korea. |

for me tak perlu utk 12 negara yg ada free data utk umobile..
tp perlu klu negara tu xde dlm listing umobile

Sekarang ni i diJapan and guna travel recommend. So far signal bagus.
But masa di London mei lalu, signal mmg byk kali drop. Selalu aje xda signal |

Hari tu pergi South Korea sewa Wiyo..
Memang bagus, bateri pun tahan dari pagi sampai petang.
Bila habis tu sambung je kat powerbank, boleh buat instastory di mana-mana saje..
Tapi ada sekali tu terpisah dengan kawan yang pegang device tu
but still bandar Seoul tu ada wifi (kat area station subway).
Pergi Busan pun line okay je. Alhamdulillah no problem guna Wiyo

Twas 1 time, i went to Japan (backpack), tak sewa any pocket wifi. Sudahnya sesat dr Tokyo tersalah naik train sesat ke Nagoya. Missed out flight blk the next day. Sbb tak dapat nak google any info on the go.
Turned on mobile data, 2mins i kena charged rm400 (digi).
Utk Balkan & Euro trip , both pergi dgn travel agency. So tak pening nak pikir route etc. Just guna hotel wifi je lps sampai hotel utk update socmed, check whatsapp or etc.
Recently pergi S.Korea (backpack), mmg ambil Wiyo pocket wifi sbb fobia kenangan sesat backpack di Japan.
Wiyo ok alhamdulillah. Signal kuat dkt Seoul. Keluar 8am. 4pm battery flat. 8hrs span time. Cucuk je power bank. Bertahan smpai mlm.
Cuma deposit ni tgh tunggu diorang bank in. Katanya 10working days.
Kesimpulannya, kalau backpack or pergi sendiri- perlu pocket wifi.
Kalau pergi dgn travel agency- guna hotel wifi je lps abes aktiviti ptg or mlm .

Deposit dapat takde la cepat sangat..Tak ingat berapa lama.. hehe
I okay je sebab service dorang bagus.

hahaha yes betul tuh . Pg korea i pakai umobile roaming pun rm10/day aje. Siap dpt free 1000 big points lagi dari AA.Tetiba je masuk akaun, terperanjat gak memula.

we did sewa travel wifi when buat road trip di Jepun tapi masa di UK bebaru ni takde pun.
Ikut mcm Transporter, download aje navigate without data, make sure download before leaving the country. Tapi kami beli sim card aje di sana yang GB20 in case nak guna for calling sebab road trip karang dlm kampung sesat ke payah jugak. |

yes rm10 jer/day... unlimited pulak tuh. Kat Korea laju giler line dia. huhu
kat Singapore pun boleh guna. Ada 12 countries boleh roaming utk umobile user. not bad ok.
Including Australia (yeay, x payah beli simkad optus). Thai, HK, AUssie, India, Indo.. too
