When you enter a classroom, you can clearly see a distinction between the students. At first, you will see a bunch of students sitting right in front. They’re always obedient. They’re quiet, and they hardly break any rules. They have the answer to everything that the teacher asks them. They’re always the smart ones. They do well in their studies and achieve high scores. Every teacher believes that these students will do well in life.

Then you meet the backbenchers – the rebels.

The backbenchers are a nightmare to teachers. They make noise, play games and prank them. They don’t care about exams and year-end results. They’re often punished. Yet, they never seem to care about what teachers advice them. Not surprising that they never do well in studies, and often fail in schools and colleges.

In life, however, they always succeed.

How backbenchers become successful?
By pushing boundaries.
You never know what they’re up to. They always surprise you with their creativity and their way of doing things. Even when the rules are given to them, they like to make their own rules. They don’t care about their education but do care about their dreams. For example, Steve Jobs was poor in his academics. He was always into conflicts. For quite some time in his life, he didn’t care about his education. But, you and I know his great accomplishments.

The backbencher Steve Jobs was successful because he pushed boundaries.

By being a go-getter.
The backbenchers are shrewd and are always looking for opportunities to do things they love. They don’t care about what their classmates, their teachers, parents or friends think of them and their work. When they’re passionate about something, they chase it. They always live by their own ideas and convictions. They don’t follow others. They do what they want to do. They are the go-getters.

By breaking rules.
As the backbenchers go out and start working, they realize that they hate to work for other people. So they never abide by rules put down by their bosses. So, they go out and start their own place. They become the leaders. They become entrepreneurs and the ones who create ideas and companies. They lead big teams. And, they are always on the top.

Though the world thinks that the backbenchers will fail in life like they failed in academics, they prove everyone wrong.
They live their dreams and show that being successful is a totally different ball game — something they’ve mastered in life.

Backbenchers time skolah.
Well kengkawan yg duk depan2 kelas tu mostly berjaya n keje gomen sume.
Bertatih perlahan masuk ipts, then keje.
X menyesal. Belajar dan terus belajar. Cam kayuh basikal, walau dah pandai kayuh basikal,  still boleh buat berbasikal tu jadi lg menarik. Haha

Saya in between.. dalam 30 classmate, i always jadi top 5. Tapi lebih cenderung ke backbencher sejak form 3. Kita ada 1 group dalam 4-5 orang. 2 perempuan 3 lelaki.

Ye yang duduk depan alhamdulillah semua succes in their own way. Mostly kerja gov, belajar luar negara, kerja 9-5, dapat partner pon mostly sesama officemate or uni mate.

Tapi dalam group backbencher, sorang jadi tokey bakeri dalam usia 23. Sekarang dah tambah 1cabang bukak kelas private. lagi seorang jd kontraktor tapi kelas rendah lah. Belum juta2 lagi. Tapi mampu hire classmate jd staff. Haha.. Budak laki sorang tu byk kerja dia buat lepas brenti kerja, jenis tak makan saman sampai ke tua. skang buat forex.

Rebel masa muda. Langgar peraturan. Tak suka dengar arahan. Degil. Mungkin dorong diorang untuk jadi boss.

Me? Pernah repeat paper. Kerja makan gaji. Lepastu resign. Buat kerja freelance. Dan now in the midst to set up a business. Hopefully could hire my ex classmate too!

Oh nak tambah, kawan yg kontraktor tu hire classmate yg first bench tu.. sebab lepas form 6 sheols tak dapat sambung mana2. Ipts taknak. IPTA tak dapat.. sedangkan result dia ok..

Hmm kita hanya merancang. Tuhan sebaik2 perancang.

reminds me of my other 2 partners time jadi backbenchers dodolu. sorang tu dah selamat jadi teacher and si kiah sorang lagi ni pulak doctor.
but memang seronok jadi geng backbenchers ni, boleh tido, boleh makan sorok - sorok. makan gula gula je la jangan makan nasi kerabu pulak

Mcm sy masa studi dulu kategori ptengahan..syukur la..wlpn sy bukan golongan keje gomen @ kerjaya kelas atasan..tapi alhamdulillah...sy yakin dgn kemampuan diri dgn jawatan skrg...tapi lepas studi sy mula bekerja dari bawah..step by step amik ilmu sampai la 1 peringkat sy bekerja dlm psekitaran & skop keje yg sgt selesa tanpa beri tekanan pd diri...

Pengalaman dgn org skeliling..
Ahli keluarga..antara cousin & kwn2 rapat dia..dia la yg agak tcicir sikit..xde la kata malas kt sekolah @ x pandai lgsg...cuma mgkin xde kyakinan & x tahu kelebihan diri masatu...tpi kuasa Allah & atas usaha dia sendri..jadi top 10 best student kt sekolah masatu padahal masa ujian bulanan..subjek matematik mmanjang D kdg2 fail pn ada......sapa sangka..dlm exam pcubaan & spm bole score A..smpi cikgu plk panggil nk jumpa dia & kagum dgn usaha dia...now keje sbagai pegawai atasan dlm private company...keje X sampai 10 thn..dh mampu beli rumah sendri & kete besar...cousin2 & kwn rapat yg nmpk lebih bijak masatu pn ada yg cuma keje2 biasa aje drp dia..ada juga yg masih myewa & ada yg lambat abis studi & take time nk dpt keje...hmm itulah rezeki Allah & bahagian msig2..

Ada 1 lgi kisah...sorg budak lelaki ni jenis dropout masa studi tapi sebab ada kemahiran dlm 1 bidang ni...now lebih bjaya dgn biz sendri...ada banglo & pakai kete mewah lgi...drp rakan2 yg sekelas masih bkeje dgn majikan..rumah pn ada yg masih x mampu beli lgi..

Hal camni bagi pendapat sy la atas usaha & doa masing2...kdg2 kt sekolah nmpk x sberapa..tpi dia dapat yg rezeki yg lebih ketika bkerjaya...cma klu kita setakat duduk tanpa lakukan apa2 pn..semua benda nk senang tpi malas..keje nk rilex2 aje...pastu salahkn takdir atas apa yg blaku bila tgok org lain lebih bjaya dari diri sendri...nasib seorg manusia xkan berubah mlainkan diri kita yg cuba perbaikinya...samada didunia @ akhirat kita nikmatinya nti...

from standard one smpai form 5 selalu backbenches sebab mmg tak suka belajar tp slalu duduk kelas 1st. hari2 kena masuk bilik pengetua untuk siap kan homework yg tak kan di buat dekat rumah sbb ari2 nak kluar main bola balik tidur terus.. pergi sekolah bawak smua buku sbb malas nak tgk jadual.
tp kena belajar smart la, kwn2 sekolah slalu cakap untung la mak bapak cmpur (bapak aku arab mak aku cina melayu) tak payah blajar pun bijak tp pd aku klau kau tk smart pun kau tak kemana.

then masuk uni pun sama backbenches duduk blakang hari2 makan kuaci tp kelas hari2 pergi, assignment buat exam dtg.. nak exam study mcm nak mampos tak tidur sbb mmg aku ada masalah tidur tp alhamdulillah lulus gak semua.. satu faktor bapak aku sgt strict klau bab pelajaran so aku mmg takut klau failed. bukan takut apa takut tak dapat duit

klau dulu aku duduk 1st row mungkin ye aku dapat capai cita2 aku nak jd lawyer tp bila fikir2 balik mungkin klau aku dpt capai cita2 aku hidup aku mungkin lg worst kot dr skrng.. aku bersyukur gak la skrng alhamdulillah life is so good, kerja best happy je even smpai skrng klau aku kena gi seminar aku akan duduk backbenches..

I mmg backbencher dari zaman sekolah sampai la university... alhamdulillah, dari segi career...  i pilih dok belakang sbb i focus first 30 minutes je... pas tu otak dah pikir benda lain...so bila dok blkg mcm free sikit utk berangan...

time sekola was a back benchers...sbb aku jenis utamakan school band dari pelajaran...tapi Alhamdulillah lepas jugak segala jenis exam...masuk U...stll backbenchers...still...Alhamdulillah masih lepas dgn almost flying colours...

cuma, skang dah kerja nih dah jadik first bench...

anyhow...i don believe in backbench or first bench...

di mana ada kemahuan disitu ada jalan...nak berjaya (of ur goals) set la target, how to achieve, and so on...

kalau takde target...kat takuk lame je la sampai reput

I'm legitimately a backbencher since schooling day. I'm quite considerably tall, forcing the teacher to pushed me to the back of the seating arrays in class. Honestly, I fancy seating at the back, it's a strategic spot for me to have a wider view of everything. Of human interaction, and good for my 'melihat, menaakul dan mengaplikasi' principe. hehehe

aku tak suka duduk kumpulan depan atau belakang...sebab otak aku selalu set lokasi2 tu target cikgu untuk soal...aku selalu pilih dok barisan tengah and no 3 atau 4 dari hujung agak2 cikgu x nampak aku tapi aku boleh nampk cikgu dan papan hitam. mungkin sebab tu life aku sekarang pon yang sedang2 saje...

mybe sbb meols pendiam/pemalu kot..
so, biasanya tak suka terlalu menonjol.. chewah
