This small town couldn't be anymore undesirable. Cramped, hot, unflaterring; nothing like KL. Suddenly I got an SMS, 'Eh, kau balik? Ada kat **** ***** eh? Jap jap aku datang'. Typical of you when with me: always ''kau'', ''aku''; always puitis; never in dialect.
One hour later, in this sweltering humidity, you materialized... initially an undulating wavy figure like a fata morgana in this heat, walking as if on a catwalk. You walked up the steps to this A&W, your eyes looking straight, penetrating into mine, bright, full of confidence. Your Jessica Rabbit-esque lips belied the fact that you weren't fully ready; your tudung was only a lipat2 one, you were in a short-sleeved T-shirt. This appearance, I knew you would have described as ''selekeh''... but I am still glad, to have met you again that day.
We moved against the wall, sheltering from the heat. 'Kau apa kabar? H****m nampak kau sekarang?', you greeted with that sullen smile. 'Alhamdulillah aku supo skalo jah'. We chatted..12 years didnt change you all that much, and I think I told you that. We talked about whom we have met since, whom we got married to'. Now that was 14 years ago, but I still recall how, so magnificent you looked... 'Bila kita tua, janji, bahawa kau akan datang lagi, dan bawa aku pergi; dihari tua kita nanti'.
Inilah yang dikatakan 'memory'. No shape, no form, no substance. Intangible. Datang tanpa diundang, kabur jika cuba difikirkan, namun terang semacam siang bila ia berulang.

citer shernazz, citer.. awak kan cute halus kecik comil, so tentu byk bfs nih. citer la perasaan bila jumpa kembali!
saya suka lagu jepun sebab abg sy belajar kat jepun dah jumpa awek melayu kat sana. so dia balik bawak mcm2 lagu jepun dan sy ter-expose pada lagu jepun sejak skolah rendah. semalam, terdengar lagu jepun lama, dan awek yg nyanyi tu sebijik lines nye cam apa yg berlaku (cuma sy tak merokok je).. tu terus teringat this story secara tetiba!
