The Minister of Finance (MoF) is believed to have acquired a 51% stake in Mulia Property Development Sdn Bhd, which is developing The Exchange 106 skyscraper — poised to be the tallest building in Southeast Asia — at the Tun Razak Exchange in Kuala Lumpur .
The Edge weekly, citing an unnamed executive familiar with the matter, reported that the controlling stake is said to have been acquired from Mulia International Ltd, a part of Indonesian conglomerate Mulia Group, about two to three months ago.
It is unknown how much was paid for the 51% stake in the company.
According to Ram Credit Info data, Mulia Property Development Sdn Bhd, which was previously fully owned by Mulia International Ltd, is now 51% owned by MKD Signature Sdn Bhd, reported The Edge.
A filing on MKD Signature shows that it is a RM2 company whose directors are MoF deputy secretary (commercial sector) at the government investment companies (GIC) division Rashidah Mohd Sies, GIC division secretary Datuk Asri Hamidin@hamidon and deputy secretary general (investment) Datuk Sri Mohmad Isa Hussain.

It appears that the Federal Government is struggling to appoint a new master developer for the highly-anticipated Bandar Malaysia project, claimed Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua.
The lawmaker noted that four months have already passed since the authorities launched request for proposal (RFP) for major global companies interested in taking up the said role, but sadly there is zero fresh updates on the matter.
“All we have from the media and parliamentary responses is that there are six to eight companies that are, perhaps, interested in the project,” he said.
Previously, a consortium consisting of Iskandar Waterfront Holdings (IWH) and China Railway Engineering Corp (CREC) was appointed as the master developer of Bandar Malaysia.
In December 2015, the joint venture IWH CREC Sdn Bhd agreed to buy a 60 percent stake in the mega development for RM7.41 billion (US$1.7 billion), and forked a 10 percent down payment or RM741 million.
The deal was hailed by Prime Minister Najib Razak as it would help solve the debt woes of 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB), the former landowner of Bandar Malaysia.
However, the Federal Government scrapped the deal last April after the consortium failed to meet its financial obligations despite repeated extensions. It also returned the RM741 million down payment.
“Bandar Malaysia is not any closer to finding a new ‘suitor’ than when it terminated the failed agreement with the IWH consortium,” said Pua on Tuesday (14 November).
“The so-called ‘interested parties’ were either not that interested or were unwilling to offer anything close to the Finance Ministry’s overpriced valuation for Bandar Malaysia.” dulu kemain bangga dpt jual bandar malaysia kpd kompeni cina kominis..dpt laa kaver hutang 1MDB
tup tup kompeni cina kominis x mampu byr & kansel deal...smp la nihhh tak tau lg sape nak develop

klu tgk mrk yg kuat mengutuk projek ni pun ada yg bekerja utk projek2 ni. mmg tak reti bersyukur. dah dpt kerja tapi masih mengutuk. tapi biasalah... bila kita comfort zone, dapat gaji on time, makan minum cukup, blh bw anak bini jalan2 tapi tetap tak bersyukur. sbb apa? sbb tak pernah merasa susah. rakyat msia yg jenis tak reti berterimakasih dgn negara sendiri.

Terlampau banyak jika nak didetailkan...selain dari banyak peluang pekerjaaan yg bakal diujudkan untuk anak cucu cicit kita dimasa depan.
antaranya...
Contoh projek ECRL, HSR akan merancakkan perkembangan ekonomi distesen2 yg dilalui . Jadi penduduk2 di bandar2 kecil, kampung2 jugak akan
menikmatinya.

bg projek mrt, nmpak bagus. main con is uem, mmcgamuda...semua local talent yg terlibat dlm kerja high-profile.
