Distorted is an upcoming American action-mystery-thriller film starring Christina Ricci and John Cusack.


Lauren Curran and her husband Russell move into The Pinnacle, a sleek, modern apartment complex with all the amenities, including a state-of-the-art security system. Lauren, who is recovering from a tragic loss, is comforted by the added security, but quickly suspects something is amiss with the apartment, much to the concern of Russell, who thinks she is imagining things. Lauren researches the company who built The Pinnacle and meets Vernon Sarsfield, a conspiracy theorist. Vernon believes The Pinnacle is not an apartment complex at all; it is a corporate experiment in synthetic telepathy and the residents are guinea pigs in a global brainwashing plot. Lauren initially questions Vernon’s sanity, but as she investigates deeper, she finds her own life in peril. She and Vernon join forces in a race against time to prevent a corporate takeover of all human thought.
