Wonder Woman 1984 is an upcoming American superhero film based on the DC Comics character Wonder Woman.
It is intended to be the sequel to 2017's Wonder Woman and the eighth installment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU).
It is directed by Patty Jenkins, with a screenplay by Geoff Johns, David Callaham, and Jenkins, from a story written by Johns and Jenkins.
It stars Gal Gadot in the title role, alongside Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, and Pedro Pascalin supporting roles.
The film is set to be released by Warner Bros. Pictures in Real D 3D and IMAX 3D on November 1, 2019.
UPDATE:
Wonder Woman 1984 is scheduled to be released in the United States on August 14, 2020.
