Negara Islam, definisi & pengertian

Was having a very interesting discussion about Malaysia sebagai sebuah negara Islam. I am of the opinion that Malaysia is not a muslim country despite our constitution clearly stated Islam adalah Agama Rasmi.

Through out the discussion one gentleman was implying that Malaysia is being zalim sbb mengenakan zakat & tax kepada Muslim tp tidak jizyah kepada non Muslim. To which i beg to differ.

Sy berpendapat kerajaan tidak berhak impose jizyah kepada non Muslim.

Religion of Federation

Article 3 (1) Islam is the religion of the Federation; but other religions may be practised in peace and harmony in any part of the Federation.

Laaaa I tak post Habis....apolahhhh.

Salah satu sebab adalah malaysia highest law bukan Islamic law but federal constitution. And the white paper(implied intention of the founders) clearly state that Malaysia has an official religion but it shall not affect the position of malaysia as a secular state. I just rasa the statements (white paper and the F.C.) nak cakap everyone is free to practice their own religion.

Cuma I rasa as time passed by , there are many more elements of Islam yang telah diselitkan contohnya macam pembangunan, arkitek, industri banks which is a good thing because we are famous for that. Hence many believe that malaysia is an Islamic state.

Btw kenapa you tak rasa Akan ada jizyah on non Muslim?

I rasa if it happens pun mungkin lagi 100 tahun just like hudud bila orang nak impose. I mean a long time because you need to implement something that is fit for all.

Bkn x kan ada. Mgkn akn ada. What i am trying to say, its unfaie to impose jizyah on them.

Kite sdri x really preach n practise islamic rule, how cld u impose unto others?

To me yes. M not saying kite kena jadi ulamak n what not. But set the rules accroding to quran. Then only Malaysia layak digelar negara Islam.

Majority rakyat adalah Islam, tidak cukup bg sy utk mengiktiraf negara ini sbg negara Islam, apa tah lg nk.impose undamg2 Islam atas Non muslim i.e jizyah

so kenapa jizyah tidak sesuai? and if ya how we do it dgn keadaan sekarang? i need justification why and yes substance explanation.. bukan hanya ayat penyata. hope u dpt membantu memberi i and kawan2 more knowledge. And thats where i terpikirkan gst... it is applicable tapi.. now xde pulak... hmmm

Ok

In Quran, there is command to obey Allah and Rasul.... So following the command of Rasul is also according to Quran (and of course Islam)

As Muslim, anyone who reject even only 1 ayat of Quran will be out of Islam, whether he/she says he/she still Muslim or not anymore. I think there is no issue about Quran, as all Muslim accept Quran. Only that how much an individual Muslim practising Islam (according to Quran), will be different among Muslims

Apakah syarat untuk cukup utk iktiraf sebuah negara Islam? Can you elaborate further according to your opinion and understanding?

1. Jizyah adalah tanggungjawab pemerintah Islam. Orang Islam dalam pemerintahan negara Islam kena bayar zakat (Islamic syar'í tax), non-Muslim kena Jizyah. Non-Muslim tak kena zakat sebab zakat adalah penyucian harta untuk Muslim.
2. Jika non-Muslim belum tunduk dalam pemerintahan Islam, akan timbul masalah jika dilaksanakan jizyah. Maka pendekatan dakwah bil hikmah kena dilaksanakan untuk tujuan keharmonian antara pemerintah dan rakyat yang bukan Islam.
3. Jizyah tidak menekan non-Muslim. Sama juga zakat bukan menekan Muslim.
4. Di negara bukan Islam, bila bekerja akan kena tax (bila cukup syarat), tak kira Muslim atau tidak. Sama juga dalam negara Islam, Muslim kena tax (zakat), Non-Muslim kena tax (jizyah).
5. Sekarang Muslim kena zakat on top of non-Islamic tax. Non-Muslim tak kena jizyah on top non-Islamic tax. Jadi Non-Muslim sebenarnya dapat kelebihan dari segi kurang kena cukai/tax
6. Mungkin ini salah satu sebab sesetengah Non-Muslim (especially politician) sangat tak suka pemerintah Islam yang betul-betul nak amalkan syariat Islam...

Thank you @noraidil_06  for this very useful thread, I am appreciative of the effort to bring this discussion to a wider audience.

I am of the opinion that Malaysia should be regarded as an Islamic Country, but I might be saying this this due to its demographic statistics only.

I am a proponent of the nonmuslims in this country, to have jizyah collected from them, in line with the RSAW's and the Chaliphates' stance.

I open these points above for discussion and I welcome arguments and counter-arguments, however terse, for the benefit of knowledge and idea augmentation.
