Cuepacs wants govt to look into teachers’ welfare

SEMPORNA: The Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services Malaysia (Cuepacs) wants the government to look into the welfare, including the allowance of teachers in the country, especially those serving in the rural areas.
Its president, Datuk Azih Muda (pix), said the government should also review the allowance given to school heads, senior assistants and subject teachers, as well as for disciplinary and committee teachers, who were not given any allowance currently.
As for school wardens occupying government quarters, he said their salary should not be deducted although they stay at quarters provided by the government.
The wardens are on duty round-the clock to maintain the safety of students and they stay in government quarters, but their housing allowance is deducted for that, he said at a meeting between Cuepacs and teachers in Semporna, here today.
Aziz said there is also a need to raise the grade of teachers heading portfolios in schools from 44 to 48.
Teachers heading portfolios in schools should be from Grade 48 and above, he added.
In another development, Aziz thanked Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng on the RM50 increase in the cost of living allowance (Cola) for civil servants.
He suggested that Cola be also given to federal government employees at Grade 48 and below. - Bernama

Punya lah dulu bapak i tak kasi jadi cikgu sbb kerja byk gaji rendah katanya... padahal, sekarang gred guru lagi bagus drpd gred pensyarah... |

Ada cikgu yg gred DG54 tp cuma mengajar jah sis. Untung gila. Cuma yg kesiannya bila ramai cikgu gred hakiki diorg masih 41 wpun dah bertahun2 in service.

yes, 8-8-6-4 kalau tak silap...
cumanya, iols tengok yang dah complete 8 tahun, bila diorang apply, belum tentu dapat. So kena apply banyak kali lah kot. Kawan iols tahun ke-10 baru dapat naik 44. Ada jugak tahun ke-9. Eh tapi macam sama je dengan jabatan gomen yang lain

Zaman atok sorry la nak naik elaun ke...nak naik gaji ke. Guru2 juga yg undi atok. So bertabah la |

Jabatan gomen yg lain tak pasti lah.. tapi kawan i lecturer mmg kena ikut performance baru dpt naik. Yg dah keje sampai nk pencen pun masih 41 yg degree.. 45 yg master.. compare tangga gaji ikut gred pun tinggi lg gaji cikgu. Maksud i, skim gaji guru ni dah mantap berbanding yg lain. |

Wow... patut lah. Cikgu dan askar byk benefit zaman najib i rase. |

Aku pya kawan mengajat dkt KV. Tp xnmpak mcm cikgu pun. 24 jam dok update fb sebab dok jual brg.mekap,beg,tupperware,jamu..siap student jd dropship dia...kdg tlalu byk iklan dia lalu kat wall aku sampai aku rs mcm geram plk spesis mcm ni |

yes, sebab sistem gaji lecturer dah berzaman tak revise rasanya...beberapa tahun lepas adala isu ni dibangkitkan, tak pasti ada kenaikan ke tak...sebab tu orang kata cikgu adalah staf gomen yang paling manja

last paper hari khamis, hari isnin dpn tu dah start kerja pun ada

Tak dapat ngko if takat 5A. Minimum requirement la kuhnon but last time stoden akak dapat masuk IPGM dengan hanya 5A adelah pada tahun 2010 masa program ape ntah namanya (pelajar cemerlang SPM diamik masuk buat degree kat IPGM). Ko kena score at least 7A or 8A, baru dapat, especially if ko dari kelas Sains Sosial. Stoden akak hada yang straight As dengan A+ bersusun pon tak diterima karna gagal interview lisan. |
