Clerk loses almost half a million ringgit in phone scam in Miri

SIBU: A female clerk in Miri lost almost half a million ringgit when she revealed her bank account details to a scammer.
Sarawak Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) chief Supt Mustafa Kamal Gani said that the 58-year-old victim had on
Nov 17, received a call from a man, who claimed he was Sergeant Yap Chee Hong.
The man accused her of having two court cases against her.
"She was told that her phone number had been used for cheating people of their money and that her bank account had been used for money laundering," said Supt Mustafa on Thursday (Dec 12).
The victim, he added, was told that in order for the two cases to be
settled, she had to reveal her bank account details, which included her PIN and account numbers.
She did as told and on Dec 11, she was shocked to discover that only RM2,000 was left in her savings, while RM488,000 was gone.
Supt Mustafa said the case is being investigated under Section 420 of the Penal Code for cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property.

sebab jual maklumat bank pelanggan pada scammer.
padahal scammer semakin menjadi jadi banyak nya,
macam cendawan lepas hujan.
gaji kecik pun boleh jadi jutawan,
asal kan pandai control spending, dan DISIPLIN about money.
kalau takde disiplin, buat apa pun, dapat income banyak mana pun,
tetap tak jadi.

Ada sorang kerani di sekolah kaka, memang saving ratus ribu dah. Kereta hilux pun heols beli cash sajork. Heols memang takda social life kecuali bersukan. Buat hapa nak susah2 masak, beli makanan, dewan makan hada. Baju pon ntah setahun berapa kali jah beli. Sekali dua ja kot. Baju heols mostly baju sponsor (like, if ikut tournament ka hapa, kan dapat baju free jika di sekolah. Ha gitu la baju heol). Sewa rumah pon takyah bayar karna tinggal di asrama (heols penyelia asrama jugak). Dan heols maseh bujang.
kapten kapal, duit dia banyak.
komitmen takdak, no children, no nagging wife, and no burden.
no need to spend money just to make other people happy.
freedom, carefree and inner peace.
beli kereta, rumah and everything with cash.
life with no debt.

Kita ja rasa gitu. Mureks yang hidup gitu, tak depresi pun. In fact, lagik stabil hidop akak lehat karna keinginan duniawi takda. Tak reti pakai henfon mahal. Tak reti tengok wayang. Malas bergilpren/berboipren apetah lagik kawen. Ha gitu la.
