Mat Sabu: Calls for Bersatu to return to Pakatan should be deliberated by coalition's presidential council

PETALING JAYA: Calls for Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia to return to Pakatan Harapan should be discussed and decided at the coalition's presidential council, says Mohamad Sabu.
The Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) president was referring to a statement by Bersatu deputy president Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir last Sunday, who remarked that Bersatu's best option is to return to Pakatan.
In welcoming Mukhriz's call, Mohamad said Pakatan is always open to cooperate with anyone who upholds the principle and integrity championed by the coalition.
"Nevertheless, Amanah opines that the matter should be discussed and decided by the Pakatan presidential council," he said in a statement on Wednesday (May 6).
A similar remark was made on Tuesday (May 5) by PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who said that the decision to return to Pakatan must be made by Bersatu itself.
"There are two Bersatus now. The decision must be made by Bersatu as a party," he said, referring to the separate camps of party president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
"Pakatan is open, but they must adhere to the agenda of change carried by Pakatan, which also includes reforming a corrupt and broken system. We don't want a repeat of the past," added Anwar.
Bersatu's exit from the coalition in February triggered a week-long political impasse that saw the eventual collapse of the Pakatan government.
As a result, many Bersatu MPs and MPs led by Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali created the Perikatan Nasional government, along with Barisan Nasional and Gabungan Parti Sarawak.
Other Bersatu MPs who were supportive of Dr Mahathir, however, abstained from the Perikatan coalition and remained friendly with Pakatan.

Mat Sabu ketagih nak jadi menteri, slurp sikit u-turn sikit. Abg mat sanggup jadi timbalan Menteri kepada azmin Ali.
Azmin Ali putar alam tak pernah kene tangkap polis, kene penjara, kes liwat AG PH tolong clearkan. Dapat jd timb. President PKR, MB Selangor, PH mng jd Menteri MiTI, PH tergolek dog pun Azmin Ali masih Menteri penuh dlm PN.
Bang non kuar masuk penjara masuk angin keluar asap.

Actually berbelah bahagi gak sebenarnya jd penyokong ph ni.
Tanpa bersatu xmungkin ph boleh menang pru pada bila bila masa pun.
Ada bersatu kemungkinan pisang berbuah dua kali tu ada. Bak kata abah ke sana ke sini ke sana ke sini.
Tapi iol harap dia orang xuturn lah. Biarlah jd gomen sampai pru15. Kalu nak uturn pun xyah lah terima.
Kalau dia orang terima abah, azmin n zuraida. Iol xnak amik tahu dah politik malaysia. |
