oooooo....my!!....your house....everything in pink!.....you must be one happy girl....always find that people who like pink are very optimistic in their attitude, still untouched by hard edges of life and have bright disposition....i am personally UNABLE to like pink....my favorite colors are black and dark tones....and this applies to art....my favorite are those with dark colors or angry slashes of franz kline, de kooning or mad drips of confused riots of dribbles of pollock or even those fine nonsensical scribbles of cy twombly....to name just some of the classic wellknown artists.... |

En GB,
He he he he.. I tak terfikir pula ttg warna pink tersebut. Kebanyakan rakan mengatakan hiasannya simple. Memang I seorg yg simple. Actually, I belum menyusun bentuk rumah tersebut mengikut konsep yg terdpt dlm pemikiran I. I akan guna warna coklat dan gold utk langsir nanti.
Boleh kata konsep yg ada tu adalah 'konsep recycle' krn hampir semua perabot yg ada tu adalah barang2 lebihan kaum keluarga. Beggar cant be a chooser.
Mulanya malu gak nak pasted gambar sebab langsir tak masuk konsep dan buku di rak tak bersusun.
Yg baru hanya lampu2 & sofa bed di ruang tamu khas utk my old dad yg suka berbaring sambil menikmati pemandangan luar tingkap. My dad tinggi orgnya, so beliau agak selesa di situ. Actually pemandangan di hadapan rumah agak menarik krn terdpt padang permainan dgn latar belakang bukit bukau.
InsyaAllah I berminat nak wujudkan konsep galeri. Suasana lapang dan berseni. Warna pilihan... earth color... coklat & emas/ oren pudar.
Hmmm I rasa warna hitam itu warna mati. Dlm painting penggunaan warna hitam tidak wujud. Utk perabot... sikit2 boleh la. En GB perlu mempunyai kediaman yg besar utk sesuaikan warna hitam dan gelap.
U know what... I paling excited nak merekabentuk lanai (sebelah ruang tv). Actually, lanai itu utk taman. Tapi I nak naikkan & tiles 3/4 lantai di situ setinggi 1 kaki, kelihatan spt pangkin zaman dulu2. 1/4 utk tanam pokok2. Ruang tersebut utk solat dan menikmati bintang di langit. Ada mural arabes & kaligrafi.
Painting di atas adalah karya my junior. Yg paling atas I dah lost contact. Yg dua bawah karya my best friend husband. |

Baru baru ni filem 'memoir of a giesha' di tayangkan dan saya pun pergi lah jugak menonton filem ni...i did not read the original novel which this film was based on so tak tau la how close to the book the film is...
tapi i personally don't terribly like the movie...tak tau mengapa mainly may be because i think i expect the film to be more how shall i say...show more graphically the darker side of giesha world...for in reality giesha whatever euphemism you like to give it.. it's basically another form of err...women of the night...
...and i love woodcuts of ukio-e...paintings of life of the 'floating world'...and there is a particular genre of ukio-e that i love...this is 'Shunga'...the erotic art of the floating world...these woodcuts especially from the 18th century were very beautiful...some prudish people might even view these as porn but to me it's art...an erotic art... some masters like utamaro were the greatest painters of this genre...
here are 3 examples..., the first one depict a giesha...i apologize if the last two offend some viewers but these are just the least err graphic 'shunga' woodcuts that I can find...

there you are!... kan saya dah kata some people might misconstrue it as porn...but others consider it 'art'...
kadangkala there is a very thin line between porn and erotic art ..samada dalam literature atau paintings...
dulu 'madame bovary' - Gustave flaubert atau 'lady chatterly's lover' - d h lawrence atau 'lolita - nabokov di anggap porn... tapi kini di anggap literature klasik yang ulung...
sama jugak dengan paintings oleh misal nya manet sesetengah nya di anggap porn tapi sekarang harga nya tak ternilai...
barbalik pada woodcuts shunga oleh utamaro dan lain2 tu.. banyak yg anggap nya porn tapi banyak juga menggangap art.....bagi saya ia nya art...art for adults.... |
