Proton Savvy nie pakai Renault engine ..clutchless manual gearbox..nie kira macam shifttronic kot..tapi dengar cerita..proton kuar yg manual dulu..later baru kuar yg version nie...:hmm:

Nie maybe engine Renault yg di pakai Proton Savvy nie..sebab sama specs..

"Renault`s range of clutchless robotised gearboxes, which are ideal for
town driving with their flick-shift manual and automatic modes, has been
extended with the aQuickshift 5 version. The new gearbox is combined with
the 1.2-liter 16V 60 hp (43 kW) engine, which replaces the
1.2-liter 8V 60 hp (43 kW) unit.

The improved torque and acceleration - 100 Nm at 5,500 rpm, of which 80% is available at 1,500 rpm - is a valuable asset for a city vehicle like the brand new 1.2-liter 16V 60 hp aQuickshift 5 Twingo.The 1.2-liter 16V 75 hp (54 kW) aQuickshift 5 version is still available for a more sporty performance.

Another new feature is the "E/A" control that is used to switch
from "dynamic" to "economic" drive in automatic mode. The "E/A" control
changes the laws governing the gear shifts for improved fuel consumption.
When the "E/A" function is switched on, the 1.2-liter 16V 60 hp
Quickshift 5 Twingo is the most economical petrol-engined car in the
Renault range, consuming just 4.9 l/100 km (about 48 mpg) in mixed
driving conditions and achieves record-breaking exhaust emission levels
of 118 g/km of CO2. These qualities position the model at the very top
end of its segment. The gearbox`s electronic control system has also been
carefully reworked. The adaptive law that governs gear shifts has been
revised for a more comfortable drive under all road conditions, in towns,
on the open road or on motorways.

Gear shifts are now more natural and the jolts that were due the interruption of torque when the accelerator is released are now a thing of the past. The kick-down mechanism can be used to accelerate sharply or to make safe overtaking manoeuvres.
Enhancements to the software also make for a smoother performance when starting off, with more gradual acceleration and optimised timing of he gear changes.

More than ever, the robotised aQuickshift 5 gearbox now combines the
pleasure of a manual transmission with the ease of use of an automatic.
When combined with the 1.2-liter 16V 60 hp engine, the aQuickshift 5 also
offers unbeatable fuel consumption."

Lower engine CC..lagi jimat minyak..tapi cuba compare gan KIA Picanto yg competitor dia terdekat....mana lagi jimat minyak???...:hmm:


btw ..sape2 nak tgk color kereta nie...ada 3 warna di tawarkan..

proton yg guna engine conti susah le mendapat tempat dihati peminat keta tempatan. waja 1.8 pun kantoi gak....

proton nak berubah dari pengaruh Jepun ke pengaruh eropah... lepas ni ngan VW pulak... itu agaknya facelift perdana V6 macam Alfa...

bagi aku.. suka lagi kat teknologi jepun

Hmm.tadi gi usha proton edar punya showroom..takde lagi kereta dia..tapi dah letak canopy kat luar ..so maybe tommorow caru eltak kereta Savvi nie kat showroom..sebab today aje baru launch..;)

aku nampak keta ni on the road tadi. masih pakai trade plate. on the way nak gi launching dia kot. boleh tahan gak design dia.
