Orangputih panggil Air kapor tu apa? Saya kat sini mengidam nak makan mee goreng, tapi kat sini takdak mee kuning tu so , saya nak cuba buat sendiri.

A warning has been issued for people not to drink lye water, a cooking product available at some Asian grocery outlets in South Australia.

It is now being removed by the state Health Department.

SA director of public health Kevin Buckett says lye water is classified as a poison in Australia ... because it contains extremely alkaline chemicals.

"Currently the product on the shelves isn't labelled as appropriately as it should be as it's a poison and we're just a bit concerned that people may be confused about the uses of it," he said.

"They might confuse lye water for soft drink and then there's a very serious potential for injury."

Department of Health warns Western Australians NOT to drink lye water

Following a recent lye water poisoning of a child in WA the Department of Health is warning people not to drink this product- which is often found in Asian grocery stores and markets.

Lye water is commonly used to bleach rice and noodle products.  

There have been several recent notifications of poisoning from people ingesting lye water in other Australian states.

Department of Health Chief Pharmacist Murray Patterson said although warnings were present on the label of lye water bottles, they were inadequate and did not meet the requirements of the Poison Act, 1964.

揚eople may not be aware that lye water contains a combination of dangerous chemicals that could cause burning to the eyes and skin,

kak noor..memang teruja nak buat mee ni..tapi wa nak carik food processor dulu...sbb wa bab uli menguli ni fail...hehehe

arituh masa gi giant kita dah jeling dah mesin mee ni..tapi hubby jeling kat kita pulak...haiyaa.. terus cancel...

nati la bila angin dia dah sejuk ala2 antartik..wa nak jeling balik kat mesin tu...hehehe

hai Tillintan u kat mana? Noor beli kapur kat kedai Pakistan, ditulis dibotolnya LIME (bukan lime limau nipis tu)..balik umah campur sket air amik airnya bukan guna 1 s/k kapur hanya airnya 1 s/k

Nanti bila2 Noor nak try buat eksperimen tanpa buh air kapur, ok tak texture mee tu..

ye betul speed...setengah org panggil lye water..terima kasih krn tepek info yg sgt berguna ni :tq:...mmg patut ler kerajaan UK tak benarkan Cina Wing Yip tu import air tu lagi dah...:hmm:

ello kenkawan...cikdak dah berjaya buat mee kuning sendiri!!!!!:bgrin:

hasilnya... not bad....adalah gaya mi tu...tapi tak secantik noor punya.... anak2 pulak kata....'sedap la mum, pasta apa ni???'.... hehehe... sebab some part tu macam kembar siam pulak..

ni gambo dia...

sebiji tu terpaksa sacrifice untuk cuci mesin, alaa...sayangnya doh aku...


selepas dijuraikan...not so perfect... tapi tetap bangga....


lepas di celur..... ahh...macam mee kuning la...:clap::clap:

dah di buat mee hailam pun....sedap:ah:

yg pasal kembar siam tu , sebelum buat juraian.. tabur tepung di kedua2 belah kepingan doh tu..bila kuar mee ada tepung yg mengasingkan mee2 tersbt dr melekat antara satu sama lain..lagi satu kalau doh tu terlembik pun mee yg kuar pun melekat gak..
byk nya cikdak  guna doh wat cuci mesin..ini macam manyak lugi loo..tepung mahal looo...:bgrin:

Cian dia sampai terbau2 mee goreng..Noor sejak duk sini pernah beli sekali mee kat London..pastu terus tak beli sbb was was..dah ler Noor ni mmg peminat mee..tu yg kena belajar wat sendiri..dan sekarang bila rasa nak break fast dgn mee goreng sebelum tido putarlah mesin tu..heheheh tak lama pun dlm 1/2 jam siap 700 g mee...

setelah baca PERINGATAN kak noormasri...xette tak berani nak uli dalam Breadmaker...takut rosak gajah putih ku itu (sbb seminggu sekali je wa wat roti..tu pon lom tentu)....hahahaha

sbb kak noormasri kata dough mee ni agak keras compare to dough roti...so tidak la berani utk daku mencuba nyer....

cikdak....:clap::clap: bravossssssss.......tahniah ler....akhirnya menjadik gak cikdak buat mee setelah upacara pecah tanah dilakukan oleh anak cikdak...lol

nampak bes ahh mee tu...buat wa lagi bertambah teruja nak carik satu mesin ni.....wa pun memang feveret mee....nak2 kalu mi goreng basah...tp tulah....was-was ngan mee jual ni...

saya rasa sesiapa yg tinggal di sekitar KL senang nak perolehi mee kuning, kueteow,fishball  dan tauhu buatan orang islam melayu/arqam.......saya tinggal kat penang nie punyalaa susah nak dapat bekalan sebab kat penang nie banyak perusahaan cina saja

tak keras pun mee tu K.Noor walaupun bentuk cam kuew teow
