Cup kalau cookies guna buttercup..if nak buat kek, Cup guna Anchor, SCS, atau Golden Churn..sekarang kat supermarket Anchor harganyer RM5.99(lbhkurang) tapi berat Anchor kat Supermarket hanya 227 gm jer bukan 250 gm..if pergi Bakery Supplier baru derang jual dlm 250gm

Tatura Butter pun murah jugak..Golden Churn dan SCS sekarang ni dah dekat RM9 harga kat supermarket..

terpulang pada recipe.  kekadang recipe mintak unsalted butter ... guna lah yg kulit kertas tu.  kalau tak disebut, lantak guna golden churn ataupun anchor.  Tapi saya paling suka guna golden churn dalam tin untuk buat kek. Dulu ada jual yg besar...rasanya dalam 1 kg or more.  Dah lama tak nampak on the market.

kalu dulu2 kala, semuanya pakai marjerin je. pas join sini, beralih pada butter pulak.
Sblm nih guna farmcow utk buat cookies, tapi sejak dah tukar kulit, rasa dia dah tak mcm dulu, so skarang guna buttercup.

Utk kek pulak, selalu beli scs, golden churn - tgk mn yg ada offer. semerbak je bau ...mmmm

utk sapuan roti, guna anchor.

tapi la nih ada la jugak sesekali campur ngan marjerin, maklum ler ekonomi menguncup. guna planta ngan puteri. sbb dah biasa ngan butter, marjerin dah rasa kurang best dah.

tatura pernah guna, sebab nampak murah masa tu,try beli.

tapi water content dia quite high compared to fat content, so tak best sgt result nya. maybe sebab tu murah.

butter yg tinggi fat content biasanya lagi mahal. sebab tu unsalted butter mahal due to the low water content. lagi satu, butter yg warna lebih putih, lg tinggi kualiti nya.

Kalau tak silap GC tin yg berat sampai 2kg ada kat Sarawak je kot...hari tu nampak ada lagi tp mak aiii...dah mahal giler, seblm ni rega GC tin 2kg dlm $31 lebih je, skrg ni dah $41 ke atas...naik gerun tgk rega tu...philly cheese yg jual 2kg pun dah naik rega $50.  Sblm ni philly cheese 2kg costs around $35 ke atas....

tak tau lagi samada nak ambik order wat cheese cake  ke tak thn ni..menakutkan bila dok pikir rega yg mencanak tinggi tu

cikna & cupcakes, yes, agreed. memang ada satu macam bau nya.

tu pasal beli sekali je, walaupun ianya pure butter & murah.  tak best betul tatura ni.


juju_amin84, once you try pure butter, i think you will not look at buttercup again    

anyway, sometimes kena jugak guna buttercup, bila buat some malay cookies (raya cookies), macam texture dia lagi better bila guna buttercup. in terms of aroma, of course pure butter paling best.

GC dlm tin beso tu mmg guna waktu duk miri dulu...waktu bakar kek or biscuit...ermmm bau semerbak setaman.  kalu ada shortage supply siap order dari brunei lagi...tu  zaman butter murah zaman duit setarap duit brunei

Cup pun beli sekali tu jerr..beli kat Carre Four..
Sebelum tu pernah nak terbeli Tatura, kat Bakery Supplier (Perfect Formula), kebetulan amoi yg kerja situ lalu dekat situ, nampak Cup nak ambil butter Tatura tu..dia tnaya sedap ker Tatura nih..Dia ckp lebih baik ambik Anchor..masa tu harga lbh kurang jerr..

choc guna tatura biler buat kek lapis....bau wangi sgt..anchor pon pakai gak tapi bau kurang....harga rasanyer lebih kurang, choc x pasti ler skang...tuh time buat utk raya thn lepas....
