  1. responded by oreng:It did not happen to me, but what about replacing the father in your example with Hang Tuah
Copy the Code

Why do you want to change the character? I said father not Hang Tua. A father is more dearer to a son than Hang Tua. Becuase you are your father's seed and not Hang Tua. So rememeber that and answer the question I asked instead of escaping the issue you raised. In this world you'd see even a Muslim guy who loves his girlfriend so much would like to carry her photo in his purse. That is to show that he loves her so much that he cannot be without her at any time and so keeps her picture close to his heart.

A Hindu who loves his creator so much longed to see his face but he knows he could not and so makes a sculpture of his own imagination and keeps it close to his heart whic is the home and he calls it the house of GOD. Yes, every Hindu think of his home as a temple of GOD and believes GOD dwells in it. That is why you find an altar in every Hindu home. A Hindu focus on GOD through the statue and this statue reminds him that GOD is with him all the time. It is the bakthi devotio] to GOD. But I know your relgion does not permit such but that does not mean our way is wrong.

Seemed like the discussion diverted to the way Muslims protect the religion for a couple of pages. So, that can continue somewhere else. So, what's good about your religion, your own religion?

Do you  have any spiritual belief that you don't consider as a religion. Or, maybe you wanna share why being non-religious is good for you?

i'm finding it a bit strange that no one responds to this thread. Doesn't any one has anything to say about the goodness of the God (or Allah) they believe in? i mean.. come on.. He's your God.. the One whom you put all your trust and faith.  don't you guys have anything to say for Him? :stp:

Hi.Firstly,thank you for asking.

Well, that depends on what you relate the notion of spirituality or spiritual-belief to,since the word 'spirit' or 'spiritual' equivocates on several meanings...hehe

If 'spiritual' to you means supernatural, ethereal or mystical, then I do not have any such spiritual-belief.Hence,you can say that I am a strict materialist.

But if you used 'spiritual' in the context of having a sense of wonder, the capacity to feel deeply or the ability to look beyond myself,or the ability for aesthetic responses to the grandeur of our universe, then you could probably say that I have some 'spiritual-dimension' to me.

As for what to me are positive to not being religious? Well to say it in a witty manner,I like it that I can lead my own life. And that when it comes to values,I can make my own decisions and need not turn to any book that is millennia old.I like looking for answers to my problems, not asking for them,no prayers for me,no sir! I like the fact that I can say to myself,"Well done",instead of saying "Thank-You God".And I live carefully, for I have to take responsibility for my mistakes.

When my car doesn't start in the morning then I know it's a problem with the alternator (or possibly something else that is mechanical or electrical) and not some cosmic revenge scheme or some sky-pixie punishing me.

And best of all,I can sleep late into Sunday mornings...hehehe
