Well, for the past few weeks so called "Datuk" Nazri has been making bad remarks against National Hero Tun Dr. Mahathir. He ask Dr. M to quit UMNO when he has no right to do so..... Also, just because a general forum which was participated by the Opposition, and Dr. M too participated, he is termed as collabarating with the opposition which this kind of claim is ABSURD, even when there are many loyal UMNO members in that forum.

Also, yes, it is true that Dr. M had declared that he will not meddle in the affairs of the Federation, however, he is entitled to speak up as a responsible citizen, when he sees that something is wrong with the administration. He had kept his word of not interfering, i.e. not excercising authority over the governemt, UNLIKE someohtre country's former prime minister, who had stayed in office even longer then Dr. M, and when he retired as prime minister, he sat in office, holding power still as Senior Minister, and when someone took over as Senior Minister, he became Minister Mentor. This is the case of even though retired, but still gripping onto power, and meddling in the government's administration. why, he is still with the government what... though step down as prime minister some more then a decade ago I think.

Dr. M however is different. You do not see him holding any position in office. You do not see him elected as an MP. You do not see him excercising his authority. He merely voiced his strong opposition against some of the decision by the current administration which he thinks is bad, so do I, so do many of us who are BN loyalist (not party member of course lah), such as scrapping the bridge project.

When Singapore made two demands that is the use of Air Space (which is totally absurd), and the sale of sand, all of us whole heartedly, united in our stand, totally against any such compromise for a "FULL" bridge, as the negotiation is about a FULL bridge, not half bridge. Allowing Singapore to use our air space for combaten jets is to give away our sovereignty, something which we cannot allow in any circumstances. Previously, we had allowed them to use our air space but then, our naval base is also in Singapore, which was already shut down a long time ago. Anyway, we are against the usage of our air space by Singapore combaten jets, NOT against the demolision of our side of the causeway. Not against the construction of a bridge on OUR side which is under OUR Territorial RIGHTS!

Our respected Prime Minister and his government officials says that it is the sentiment of the people and the wishes of the people, but there is not really true. The sentiments and wishes of the people is NEVER to allow Singapore to use our air space for combaten training by their side ONLY, but not to abandon the bridge project. The people of Johor and I believe most of us want the bridge because the causeway is stopping the natural flow of the Tebrau straits, which pollution on one side of the causeway is bad, and that when we have the bridge, we can allow small ships to pass, good for naval communication, good for the environment and best of all, the bridge will have more lanes in which may ease traffic congestions. These are what most Malaysians, normal Johoreans in particular are looking forward to. Except for the few TRAITORs, who work in Singapore which their minds are polluted, tainted by the Singapore government controlled media, for their selfish purpose. These TRAITORS are against the bridge because they fear that when this bridge is operational, they would have to pay tolls which would be more then what they are paying now. However, I do not see these TRAITORS complaining about the expansive charges for cars to enter into Singapore on a weekday.

Do our people know that we are paying one of the LOWEST tax in the world? Why countries like Britain can afford to have toll FREE higways or motorways, because their government is rich by imposing high taxes on the masses (though Britains might not feel the pinch as their currency is about 1 to 7 RM. so, we pay 70 but they are only paying 10 and they earn the same amount as us on a 1 GBP to 1 RM basis, meaning, they earn 1000 we also earn 1000 but theirs is GBP and ours is RM. British pays 17.5% VAT tax for every purchase of electronic goods. Thus we cannot blame the government for imposing tolls for without imposing tolls, where to get the money to fund these infrastructure. If we feel the pinch, then don't use it. It is better this way, as to impose taxes on the people, it is unfair to those who do not wish to use these infrastructures or do not use such infrastructure. We ought to berterima kasih to the government for all this. No material thing is perfect. There have to be trade offs..... We want low taxes and we want world class infrastucture..... just almost impossible.

Also, we complain about oil, but the fact is there is nothing the government can do because the oil prices are decided by international market. The government is good enough to give subsidies.

Also, on government projects, many ungrateful rakyat say, Project buang duit rakyat. However, do all these rakyat know, what is the main reason these rakyat pay taxes to government? Do all these companies know why they are paying taxes? Other then for the maintainance of the administration, in terms of defence, day to day expanses etc. so that the government, the Administration can function, it is also for the benefit of the rakyat. They pay taxes so that the government, other then for the administration maintainance, can memajukan negara, can give back the rakyat world class infrastructures which will benefit the rakyat, for the rakyat's convenience. Why want to memajukan negara??? So that rakyat can have a comfortable life. How to memajukan negara? That is by these projects, funded by duit rakyat. These rakyat, like some accountants or admin department, only want to cut cost in their daily business activites, even cost which should not be cut, such as purchase of tools and equipment, to help an organisation make more money. Spend money to make even more money. These rakyat do not understand such issue. You cut cost, you only save a little more. you spend more on things which is necessary, to earn even more then what we can safe. That is why these projects which are funded by the rakyat is necessary. It is not habiskan rakyat. It is like bank, using the funds from the rakyat for long temr investment to develop the country. These good projects are like the double tracking of the railway system which will benefit our rail communication system (reduce a significant large amount of time travelling via rail). These project ought to go and NOT abandoned, like what our current prime minister did not long after he assume office (put on hold the double tracking project). No wonder our hero is angry with him.... It appears that the prime minister is postponing or abandoning some of his (Tun Dr. M) projects.

Nazri.... before you complain about Tun Dr. Mahathir, think of his contribution compared to YOUR contribution. His contribution to the nation far exceed yours. His wisdom on state affairs too far exceed yours. Your personal attacks on Tun Dr. M, I regard you as KURANG AJAR!!!!! Dr. Mahathir most of his attacking remark is on the issues, the decision by the government, not on personal basis except for one in which he should not have made that remark against the prime minister. You however on the other hand, make personal attacks such as accusing or fitnah his excellency of collaberating with the opposition. KURANG AJAR!

A lot of people dislike what Dr. M is doing by voicing out his critism over Pak Lah's Administration. Some even advised him openly that it is not "healthy for his image" if he continued to do this.

Up to Dr. M to safeguard his good name. ;)

As a nationalist, we do not fight for a name... we fight for a cause.... not for selfish purposes. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same to all ministers. Dr. Mahathir has his point, a basis in his remarks, except the one in which he openly expressed his preference of najib that thing I believe he should not have said it. However, it is true that when the negotiation break down for the construction of the full bridge due to Singapore's unreasonable demands, we should just go ahead with the half bridge but why did our beloved government go do away even with the half bridge. They say it is the sentiment of the people but the sentiment(in general) is only on the air space and sale of sand, NOT do away with the half bridge which is fully within our jurisdiction.

That is why.... He is a nice guy and a leader with a good heart but not a good leader because he is controlled by the cabinet, UNLIKE Mahathir who controls the cabinet, in which the cabinet consist of both good and bad people.
