lica nak sambung blaja kat UK, so kena amik exam ni.
Anyone ada experience, jom share

saya penah ambik kira-kira 10 tahun lalu....tak berapa nak igt camner.... ada listening, writing, speaking n satu lagi aper ekk... nanti kalau dah igt saya tulih balik...

just kalau nak sambung masters n phd je kan kena ielts?

i think its getting more difficult ..but if u already have a strong english foundation plus did the exercise n practise shouldnt be a problem at least getting 6.5 ( minimum uk requirement)

aku kene amik 2/9 ni....takut giler. nak prepare ape ha? mcm dah buat,reading dan listening dah lebih 1o test dah buat. tpi risau sgt psl writing dan speaking. dah la baru tukar format mulai bulan mac 2006.

Umm... I think you can find info somewhere on the net about the exam... Then again, I have the feeling that you've done that! Haha~

Teringat dulu masa saya ambil IELTS, utk speaking dia suruh cakap pasal "Historical Places in Malaysia" selama 1 minit (rasanyala...dah lama, tak ingat...) non-stop. Aiseeyy... mana ler expert sgt pasal tempat2 bersejarah. Yang teringat masa tu pun pasal A Famosa (dok ulang "the red historical building" sepanjang test tu :lol ).

Tergagap-gagap jugalah after some time sebab tak da idea. Now bila pikir balik rasanya tak perlu panik walaupun tak tau facts, sebab dia nak tengok kelancaran dan kepetahan kita berbahasa. So, my advice would be keep calm, just keep on speaking as if you're speaking to a friend.

BTW, my IELTS result okay laa

i took the test on september 2nd 2006. It was difficult for me as i am not a native english speaker.
for the limited time provided, it really test your ability to write, listen and speak...

i hate most...the writing test. instead of following the usual format, they change the type of data to diagram. actually, it wasnt so bad,just weird..and maybe can effect our confident. you should prepare to read really fast...coz the reading
test was so damn difficult... its was too long and complicated.

for the speaking, they'll just ask you  simple question. not really hard for those who has lots of idea about the topic
given.

the best to practice, just visit the ielts blog. they have  the past year questions and sample of good answers checked by
ielts teacher.

its easy to register IELTS.

just bring along RM 510 for the test. the date of the test is choosen by you,
based on the date given.uopn the registration, they will give u receipt and official letter of registration. normally the test wil be held on every saturday.
it is recommended that you prepare for the test, one or two month earlier.
either by study on your own, or attending the seminar of course conducted by British Council.

so easy to register. i give full credit to the officer as they make the reg process
quick and clear.

hi there.. saya malas nak selak belakang but i just need some advice on the topics.. me is busily try to secure a place at one of the university above and need to take IELTS exams.. so, sapa2 yang ada tips and all perhaps can do some postings

ada sesapa tau pasal amik exam ielts...susah tak nak dapat skor 6.5 abover, anyone who had experience bf this?

aku amik..dapat 7.5 :nerd:..susah ke tak???:hmm:...ntahla...susah kot..

tapi sekarang ni most uni kat Uk dah tak minat IELTS..ntahla..aku rase rugi amik IELTS tu ari..dah la mahal...nasib baik JPA tanggung balik..:kant:..

so far yang dapat 9 tu aku tak pernah dengar lagi...kawan aku palin gtinggi pun 8.5 tu pun 2-3 orang je..yang 8 ade la nak dekat 10 orang..and melayu sorang je dapat 8 ...among kawan2 aku la..

lain 7.5, 7, 6.5 tu ramai gilos...

mostly uni kat UK..dorang mintak ikut kos..kalau medic for sure 7 and above..kalau law macam aku 7 ...

6.5 tu kire dah ok la tu....

tapi ape yang aku nak cakap ni..kebanyakan uni kat uk dorang dah tak tengok sangat la ielts...mase aku dulu dari 6-6 uni yang aku mintak..semua tak mintak ielst..rugi je amik..:kant:

IELTS tu tak susah mana... aku amik test tu abt 5 yrs ago.
aku tak amik kelas preparation dan tak beli buku exerecise but still boleh lepas.
