regular season ended yesterday. already, we see big news, and this is just a start:

hired:
49ers - jed york (owners son - only 27 years young) - promoted to team president.
49ers - mike singletary (an hall of fame linebacker) - promoted to head coach (from interim)

fired:
jets - eric mangini - head coach
browns - romeo crenel - head coach
browns - phil savage - general manager
lions - rod marinelli - head coach (team went 0-16)
49ers - mike nolan - head coach (fired during the season)
rams - scott linehan - head coach (fired during the season)
raiders - lane kiffin - head coach (fired during the season)

breaking news! mike shanahan has been fired as denver head coach after 14 seasons with them. mike martz has also been let go by 49ers.

could be wishful thinking, with all the opening around the league right now, but i hope mike singletary will bring back shanahan to 49ers as offensive coordinator. at least, hopefully he'll try and hopefully it will become a reality. i've always been a fan of mike shanahan when he's an offensive coordinator of the niners. if not, marty mornhinweg is another choice - he used to be coordinator for the niners too (but, could be difficult if this is consider a lateral move from his current role with the eagles - need to be a promotion)

it will be great when bolts beat steelers, ravens beat titans...will be easier for bolts to win the AFC championship...a wishful thinking from a bolts' fan

it's going to be hard for chargers to beat the steelers. steelers defense is so good. but, we'll never know. with the right planning and trick, san diego may be able to beat the steelers. that's why they have to play the game.

between ravens and titans, i think (if chargers beat steelers), chargers will have better chances of winning playing against tennessee than baltimore. in my opinion, ravens defense is much better than titans defense. i always like the way ravens play defense. they've been playing at that high level for more than a decade now.

i know who i want to be in the superbowl and win it all. it's not because of the team but rather the head coach. he deserves it. i hope he wins it all.
