Stoner kembali temui rentak

揑a sedikit pelik kerana saya dapat melepasi Valentino lebih awal sebelum memecut tanpa melakukan sebarang kesilapan,

Motor Racing: Privateer Adli out ot prove his worth in Sepang

PETALING JAYA: Privateer Adli Salihin wants to prove that his win in the First Round was not a flash in the pan when the second round of the Petronas Sprinta AAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship is held from April 28-29 at the Sepang International F1 Circuit (South Track).

The 19-year-old Adli surprised the field by winning the first round of the Wira EpG category in Kluang two weeks ago.

Adli who represented team Momos Racing last season, failed to secure any sponsorship this year. Mechanics from UTM Racing team have decided to assist him this season.

Adli will have to fend off closest rivals Mohd Emir Firdaus Hassan of Motul KMC YY Pang; Shahril Izzuwan Md Noor (UZ DPP Racing); and Shell Advance Maju rider Abdul Muhaimin Roslan.

揈ven though we do not have huge resources to do testing as compare with the other professional teams, I have faith in my mechanics,

ROSSI : TAK DAPEK DEN NAK KEJO STONER...

Valentino Rossi admitted that he just had no answer for the raw speed of Casey Stoner at the China GP.

The Italian superstar had to settle for second on his Yamaha as the Australian flew to his third victory of the season on his ultra-quick Ducati.

"It is impossible to live with that speed," admitted Rossi. "The speed difference is incredible and I have never seen anything like it."

"Casey has made a great step and he is a surprise for everybody. He is going to be a very strong rival."

Rossi now trails Stoner by 15 points in the championship standings but he said he was happy with his effort in Shanghai because he at least made the Australian work for the victory.

"I tried to play my cards, I had to decide to just follow or to try and attack. I tried to fight because just following him until the end is not in good taste," he said.

"I am happy because it is the best way to lose."

Vermeulen takes first win

Chris Vermeulen claimed the first MotoGP race win of his career at a sodden French Grand Prix. The Australian Suzuki rider came to the fore as rain worsened throughout the race, while Marco Melandri and Casey Stoner grabbed podium finishes.

Vermeulen started just 12th on the grid, but leapt into the leading pack when the riders came in to change their bikes and switch to wet tyres 11 laps in.

He then proved supreme as more illustrious rivals like Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden struggled in the wet.

Rossi went backwards over the closing laps and finished sixth, while Hayden suffered a worse fate - crashing out spectacularly with two laps remaining.

The American's bike somersaulted off the track amid flying debris, but Hayden walked away apparently unscathed.

The race started in extraordinary fashion in front of a patriotic crowd at Le Mans, as first Randy De Puniet and then Sylvain Guintoli put France at the front of the pack.

But the dream of an amazing home victory died within the space of a lap, with Guintoli and De Puniet both crashing out. Toni Elias and Carlos Checa were also among the fallers.

Ducati were not expected to perform well at a track that values agility above brute force, but Stoner's third-place finish means he extends his championship lead.
