watching DVD with english subtitles is a good suggestion, that's what I've been doing and that's why i love DVD over VCD. Malay subtitles always gives wrong interpretation. Another suggestion is to play scrabbles with friends. It is a fun way to enrich vocab, and always have a dictionary around to refer.. sometimes people just create silly words to have the highest score.. believe me that happens.. try it.. |

True indeed. I remember some Malay translations which may be misleading. It is better to try understand the language rather than relying on the Malay translation.

Writing and speaking requires more practise and work. Nontheless, try using them anyways. Its better to make mistake and learn than not knowing at all.
Use simple sentences first. Move slowly but surely.

....practice...not practise...
...a little info...there is often confusion over the words 'practice' and 'practise'...and in order to understand which to use, u must noe the difference between a noun and a verb...this is because...practise is a verb...whereas practice is a noun..
...eg...you need more practice (noun)
...eg...you should practise more (verb)
...in the UK and Australia...the "rule" is 'practice' as a noun...and 'practise' as a verb...
...the US however...aren't consistent about it...both are acceptable to them... |
