hahaa......
i love reading that --
thanks for da funny story -

few sentences we can correct 'em together -
and it is for us to learn the english - -
tis good to see if we can make some correction
i am not an english teacher - but i will try my best to see
if we can try to change the sentences but wont change the
meaning --

the craziest things that I had made at school is NOT FINISH
THE HOMEWORK UNTIL I had straighted by teacher.. its very
hurt and very its VERY ashamed..happen when I was in standard 4..

the craziest thing i made was never did any homework till my teacher
straightened me out --
i was feeling hurt and ashamed -
this happened when i was in standard 4..

*what did u mean by straighted? u mean hit you or u mean -
like 'advised' you and told you off?

and one more had had piss in class.. arrhgg!! at that time the school was
horrored that the toilet have GHOST!!!.. I was very scare that time... one day...
i want to piss.i invite my one of friend.. but she dont wanna go with me..
i had to postpone it until rest.. but owh.. i had piss in class.. my teacher had to
clean up the class.. i cannot remember how the other pupils say but it IS VERY ashamed too..

another one was i peed in the class --
those time - we thought our school was haunted  and that
there was ghost in the toilet --  i  was scared to go to the bathroom -

one day i wanted to pee so, i asked my friend to accompany me but she refused -
so i had to hold it till recess - but unfortunately i peed in the class instead --
( sorry i am laffing while typing this -- funny story though) -- my teacher had to clean
up after me, -- i couldnt remember what all my classmates said, but i remember that
i was very humiliated --

huh... i dont know if you understand.. open the dictionary

if you couldn't understand what i wrote, please look up in the dictionary -

i think that could be it - not that nice but sufficient and easier to understand too -

mind you - i do understand your story --  i just think sometimes when we write -
we tend to mix all the past tenses  to the perfect tenses --

what we did was just to make sure - whilst the story still maintain the point -
the tenses that we used reflect the time of the event -

hopefully laila okay with it --
please do not feel 'terasa'  -  i am still learning myself
and as well  - do correct me -- if anybody saw my errors in this thread --

honestly i think u expressed yourself so well --
and you did a great job  too -- writing all in english --
i applaud your determination --

when she did 'THAT'  ;)

if standard one - i can still imagine it

i am still laffing though .........ish  laila ;)

hahaa... (wonder what happened to the panties --
i mean - u hafta wash it -- and then---  you end up
with no panties in the class --  goodness  eh
or if u hafta wear it -  it wud be wet

dexa,

its a good idea to create a thread that concentrates mostly english and give chances to these forumers to practice their english before going into the real world as it is more harsh out  ...

thanks for the encouraging words red --
hopefully we all gonna learn sumfin' from this --
as well   give our ideas in other threads as well --

laila's story is funny.. it must be really embarassing huh?

during primary school, i was teacher's pet.. their hope bla bla bla.. i still remember when i was year 4 - 10 years old.. I don't usually did not do my homework.. but that day, i didnt do it.. i can't remember why.. since i didnt do it, more than half of the class didn't do it also.. they used to copy after me, especially the boys.. the teacher, cikgu fatimah, told us to stand up while she went each and everyone of us, checking our books, and pinched us.. just as it was my turn, another teacher, cikgu zaharah, passed the class and ask cikgu fatimah why we are all standing - since we are the first class.. and cikgu fatimah went out of the class, explained to cikgu zaharah, then came back into the class to the girl after me.. and guess what?? I was SAVED from being pinched.. i am not sure whether she did that deliberately or not.. but i felt grateful since all my friends got pinched and it's really hurt!!

thats a good one -

thanks for sharing the story  --

sometimes it was great to remember the time
when we were young --

it was like a song --
u hear one song -
automatically  it brings you back to the time
when it was popular and suddenly u start to remember what u were
doing then -

just want to share what happen with me yesterday..i;m just attend the walk-in interview in seremban...fill-up the application form and need to wait till 5 hours until they call my name. all the candidates before me take at most half an hour for the interview session...i don't know why..maybe they have lot of experience, so friendly , so the interviewer didn't want to let them go out from the interview room..

i'm the 3rd last candidates...guess what?? the inteviewer only take 5 minute to interview me! i think the had choosed the people for this position..after i saw the interviewer don't have any idea what they should ask me because i'm really2 freash graduate, i ask him how many people they need for this position? he said just one.ONE? from 30 candidates they just want one? and tomorrow they will have one more walk-in inteview in KL just to fill 1 vacancy..i think they just waste their time...maybe next time they should state how many vacancy they need...

p/s anyone, plzz correct my grammar k..because i know i did a lot of gramaar errors.thank's..

senah...
before we go for the correction -
i wud like to know what position was that
interview for? --
i am really sorry to hear what happened to you yesterday -
but u must be positive and don't ever give up- okay --
sometimes good thing comes for those who waits --

i think to make you wait for 5 hours was very ridic and rude -
and if i were you - i wud leave the place --
regardless --
for me thats just to show how bad the management is
and i am not gonna be part of this management --

are you currently working -
or are you still looking for  a job ?

- happened
- i attended
- filled up
- waited for 5 hours till they finally called
- ahead of me took
- the interviewer took longer time
- i was
- took
- they chose already the candidate for the post
the interviewer seemed disinterested to ask me any question
- related to the job cuz i am a fresh graduate
- he also told me that the company only need one person to fill the post
-they were wasting
-stated how many employees they need for any particular position

all in all - it was a good explanation -
no matter -  i pray for your success and i hope
you gonna get a great job soonest --

senah, was it your very first interview?don't worry...but i have some 'petua'. if you are really interested in that particular post and company you want them to know alot about you right? this is how we show our interpersonal and communication skills. so you have to bring out the info about yourself that may make them interested. but few years back, i was attending a wahat so called a 5 minutes interview session for SLAB..n guess what?i got it...hahha...

* sorry my english is not so good maaaa...

It's a typical situation these days.. I once went to a test in UUM for 'Pegawai Tadbir" position and there was like more than 300 people going to the test but before the test started the officer there told us that there were only 3 vacancies. So the possibility of getting the job was only 1/100 @ 1% or less per candidate....

Hi Dexa. Good thread.

Its a good effort on your part to improve the standard of English in this thread. Keep it up!

I would like to suggest to all job seekers out there to please put an effort in improving your English verbally. Its really sad to see a good candidate being rejected just because he/she fails to communicate simple basic English.

Let me share with you the conversation I had with my 7 year old son last month.

Me : What are you watching Zaryff?
Zaryff : Watching Tsunami on TV,  mama.
Me : Where? Is it the one in Penang?
Zaryff : No, mama. It's in Toyland. I like that place so much, mama....

At first I didnt realize that my son refer Thailand as Toyland, until his statement "I like the place so much, mama". That statement made me wonder, as he has never been to Thailand before. After quizzing him further, while trying to suppress my laughter, he admitted that all this while, he thought that Thailand is Toyland and how cool he thinks that place was..... until Tsunami came, that is...... hehe

Few years back, I was watching Oprah on TV with subtitles in Malay. Her guest, Jim Carrey was saying to Oprah "I don't want to hear any of this anymore. No more! Period!" At the bottom of the TV screen, the word period was translated as mentruasi, which means menstruation in English.

the translation can be so funny --
remind me with a movie i watched with my friend
in cinema -

with malay subtitle -

it was kinda scary scene -
and everybody watching was quiet -
suspense scene -

then suddenly the guy (in the movie) said
oh oh oh - the ghost is here  the ghost  is here
(something like that)
and then the subtitle came up
: "oh oh oh MOMOK datang   MOMOK datang-"

my friend and i were LAFFIN so hard -
then it turned out just two of us were laffin -
cuz everyone else were having butterflies in their tummies -
scared  of the 'so called'  MOMOK --

cripes - that was hilarious really --
