hi. long time no see. i just finished my final exam and finally i am home for one month holiday. last week i got an offer for internship programme in Australia. unfortunately, they did not want to hire students who got scholarship. the interview session was so simple that i thought that they only judging us by look.
i hate them. i try to improve my english for the interview session. but, it was unlucky because i could not really communicate well with them because the interview was to short .

sponsored students
judged
bad
as
too

*************************************************************************************

i am sorry to hear about your interview session -
oh well - not too worry because i am sure something better will
come along -

all the best -

dexa. is there any mistakes in my sentences?i am so eager to post in here because i really want someone to correct my sentences.

sorry i took too long to correct the mistakes -

your post were great - not too many mistakes really
just a few here and there - which is not a biggie

mostly - perhaps you can change the words

such as - because  (you wrote it before so you can alternate
with different word to make the sentence a bit better -)

have you read p.s i love you? the story is so sweet. this is the first chick lick novel that i like. i hope any of u can suggest me another novel or author. i am enjoying sidney sheldon so much and i would  like to try to read other genre too

not sure what's that mean
probably a typo - you meant - 'like' ?

********************************************************************
is that a novel by Cecelia Ahern ? - i haven't read it but saw the novel in
the book store few years back -

glad to read your post -- and i can see how much you enjoy reading -
a good hobby nevertheless -

by the way - too many books or authors to recommend -
but if you like romance and action - one of my favourites would be Sunset Embrace
by Sandra Brown

however if you want to try totally different genre - for instance thriller murder mystery
why not you try -  John Sanford -  Rules of Prey --- that's a fantastic book -

* sidney sheldon was great -  my favourite of his ..  If tomorrow comes..

The term that everyone seems to be looking for is 'Chick Lit' -a term used for literatures written and marketed for young women.

The word 'Chick Flick' denotes films that targeted female audience.

continue my studies in the overseas..

It's enough to say 'to continue my studies overseas'

Chick lit author recommedation - Sophie Kinsella a.k.a Madeline Wickham, Meg Cabot, Emily Giffin, Jennifer Weiner, Helen Fielding, Jane Green

Other authors whose books are worth reading:  James Patterson, Mitch Albom, Nicholas Sparks, John Grisham,

Which English class you will enrol?

I am thinking of sending my younger sister to English class around KL or student exchange programme in USA.

Does anyone know where can I apply the student exchange programme.

I want my sister to go .So that,I have a company to practise English together.

Hi..everyone... I am new and feel lucky to find out this kind of thread recently.  To Dexa... u'r doing a good job.

I'm not really fluent in English espeacially when it comes to grammar. Even in Bahasa I hate the 'tatabahasa'. English and Bahasa were my killer subject during school years.  However after a few years working in private sector my language skill become better and better.  But sadly my grammar still awful.

currently I am trying my best to speak english daily my with 5 years old daughter.  But sometimes I hardly answer her when it comes to silly questions.  My question here are  :

1. How to say "Mama...Anis nak kencing" in correct and polite sentence. Is it "Mama..I want to pee" or "I want to piss" .

2. How about for the second nature call (buang air)?

don't get me wrong. I know this is a silly questions but my daughter keep asking me how to say it in English.  I try to find out in my dictionary but normal dictionary only have 'good' words.  So far my daughter converse in English with me if she want to has a meal, play or sleep.

Hi all.

nice thread ha!!......I do talking english in my daily working day. Of course at my workplace. But, my grammar still sucks, feel terrible about it. I always have low esteem feeling when I need to deal with a presentation, my public speaking also sucks....now I try to improve these skills for the sake of my career.

Need to learn a lot ha!......huhuhuhuhhuhuh....

I want to pee or I want to piss is acceptable. Although pee is the stronger colloquial term.
And you can teach her not to piss mummy off

She can use 'Mummy I want to poop' for her second nature call.

it is not a silly questions at all -

1 - in polite sentence -  : mama, i want to pee
(piss is not a polite word)

2 - in polite sentence - : mama, i want to poo poo (that's for kids
actually) or just say,  mama, i want to poo   (poo is a slightly better
than poop) -

when i was study in canada - and stayed with my foster parents -
their 5 years old child said -  mom, i wanna do #2
so they all know it means poo -  just a slang - actually it comes
from irish slang i reckon -

it's great that your daughter converse in English with ya
both of you can learn from each other too -
