normally, kalau future employee tu pregnant, the employer will consider la jugak...sebab :
a. nnt bila maternity leave, comp still bayaq gaji juga, tp physically you're not there, so tmpt you dah vacant, sapa nak buat keja, sdgkan you baru join, still dlm probation ( 3 / 6 mths - normally )
b. dlm application form, selalunya ada question : are you pregnant ? haaa..tu kena jawab dgn betui, tak leh tipu...tipu kalu...dpt surat cinta plak!
c. during probation months, of course la you kena tunjuk extra effort sikit, baru la employer boleh consider nak confirm ke idak...ni kalau dah pregnant, mungkin susah / limited sikit nak bergerak pantas, kdg-kdg kita letih, nak usung perut tu ke sana sini...dah satu hal le pulak...observation from the boss is critical maa..
d. verbal offer is as good as written offer, except that they're very loose, tak kira le company tu cikai ka, mnc ka...dptkan written letter of offer, baca & sign kalau agree to all the t&c. |

well, about being upfront tu, memang dah upfront masa memula interview lagik...
the dept yg nak masuk tu tak de problem if aku join... just the HR jer yg tak nak...
dia punya reason is that tak nak tanggung kalau jadi apa2 during my pregnancy.. which is for me memang lame excuse la...
aku memang tak reti pasal law, contract, offer and acceptance nie and aku rasa aku better consult dgn lawyer or IR person kalau nak tau in-depth la kot... in which i will...
Right now, aku memang dah masuk bab malas nak argue ngan that company sbb benda nie dah go on for quite some time and wha i can do is to wait till confinement jer la..
Tapi aku still tak puas hati jugak sbb kalau dia bagi excuse lain tak nak ambik aku tu tak pe gak tapi excuse sbb pregnant... kalau diorg tak nak ambik pregnant lady knp tak ckp awal2, tak yah la aku go thru all the interviews, presentation and all sorts of test suma.. membazir masa jer la kalau dah tau result dia mcm nie.. |

so far tak de perkembangan terbaru sbb aku tak call lagi depa tu...
so, aku rasa just wait and see jer la sampai confinement..
kalau dia tak offer aku balik lepas confinement memang sajer je la nak pedajal aku tu...:@
anyway, aku ambik iktibar from what happened and aku jugak nak bagitau kat suma pregnant ladies out there to beware of these kind of consequences bila nak apply keje time2 pregnant nie...
kira satu pengajaran buat aku and others la jugak...
so far aku rasa kat malaysia nie employment rights tak di ketahui secara mendalam sbb tu employer boleh take advantage of the situation..
kesian kat aku kan.... |

Kalau apply sebelum bersalin --- dia orang bagi lame excuse. Kalau kita apply lepas bersalin pula kerja tu pun dah diambil orang. Hai susah susah. Tapi ada juga company yang tak discriminate orang mengandung. Contohnya satu forumer dlm board Parenting .. dia apply new job masa dia tengah 8 bulan mengandung. Company tu ckp lepas dia bersalin etc etc dia boleh start kerja baru. Sekarang dia dah pun berkerja. Dia kerja dgn bank yang simpan Umbilical Cord Blood - StemCell. |

Takper tigger, kalau ditakdirkan rezeki ko kat situ takkan ke mana, tapi kalau ko rase macam didiskriminasikan, ko leh failkan tuntutan kat Mahkamah Perindustrian. Kos yang terlibat free aku dengar dan ko tak perlu lawyer nak represent ko, ko represent diri sendiri dah bole... |

actually mia nak mintak pendapat all forumers kat sini, mia skang nie 38 weeks pregnant. then my situation is mia tak tinggal dgn hubby,we all weekend husband and wife.kawin last year...husband mia keje kat hometown while mia keje kat kl...
mia mmg nak sgt balik keje kat hometown or nak tinggal dgn hubby...then mia dah byk apply keje lain and mintak transfer balik hometown...
mia rasa ni mmg rezeki kot...rezeki baby..
should i attend the interview or give them a call telling that mia pregnant....
normally diorang akan hire tak pregnant women..or after my confinement mia leh join.. |

well... susah kot kahwin PJJ ni...cuba jelah pergi interview tu mana lah tahu bakal boss tu baik dia mungkin tak kisah ngan pompuan mengandung... walaupun normally majikan liat sikit nak amik pekerja baru yg sedang mengandung...
aku pun ada kawan yg kahwin ala PJJ ni dah ada anak sorang pun, nak transfer tak dpt, tengok ok je cuma penat la sbb terpaksa mengulang tiap minggu..
as i said tak cuba tak tahu... |

mia.. i suggest u pergi jer interview tu... jgn bgtau in advance tgh pregnant, nanti takut dia kata tak payah datang interview.. so u pergi jer.. nanti masa tgh interview tu budibicara mereka n up to u la nak convincekan them to hire you despite u dah nak bersalin.. who knows kalau rezeki u kot2 diorang nak pakai employee tu elok2 time u habis confinement ker.. or maybe if they themselves can wait ker.. |
