Rainbow six: Vegas problem!

YO guys. need some help here...i just bought this game Rainbow six vegas..when the setup is done..i try to run it..this message pops up " This application has failed to start because d3dx9_31.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem"

I tried re-installing it again..and the same things happens..
I tried updating it to version 1.04(patch) but this pops up "could not retrieve version number! installation will be aborted"
wats up wit that?

can someone please help me out here?

I'm having the same problem but when i try to download the file from the links given by u guys,the files oredi been deleted.

Any others way?

Problem SOLVED!

download d3dx9_31.dll and paste it in  " C:\WINDOWS\system32 "

Works fine now..
