CITIBANK A great LIAR

Dear All

Aku nak tanya dan mintak pendapat sapa2 yg leh bagi bantuan kat aku.

Aku dah terminate my CITIBANK Credit Card tahun 2005. I did fax the memo of termination and also I courier the Credit Card that has been cut into pieces to their office. The people from CITIBANK called me and acknowledged that they've received the letter and the pieces of the card and also acknowledge receiving my fax. I also keep the copies to myself. In case anything happen they want to sue me watsoeva.

Secara tiba-tiba, bulan 8 tahun 2007 (nombor bad luck) out of the blue aku terima
penyata dan claim RM 90 supaya aku bayar sbg yuran tahunan.

Sepanjang tahun 2005 dan 2006
aku tak pernah terima sebarang penyata dari diorang tetiba jer aku kena bayar.


Aku punya la marah dan call the hotline. Sales people tu janji nak settlekan this thing tapi sampai bulan September takde satu tindakan pun dari diorang.

Apa yg patut aku buat? Aku patut jumpa diorang kat pejabat diorang atau terus jumpa CEO diorang jer? Ke aku perlu report benda ni kat polis as a police report atau perlu kah aku bawa perkara ni ke Tribunal Pengguna? Atau patut tak aku bawak berita ni ke pengetahuan TV? kot la leh disensasikan kes ni dan akan bankrapkan kampeni nih? Aku geram betul sbb kena TIPU HIDUP2 dgn CITIBANK ni... kata termination letter aku dah terima bagai tapi masih claim duit kat aku. Aku boleh jer nak bayar RM 90 tu tapi aku nak buat sesuatu dahulu agar apa yg aku bayar tu berbaloi. Aku rela bayr RM 9000 (sebab aku ada byk ni jer.. kalau sebut RM 90K ker RM 90m ker.. aku takde.. ehehehe) kat rumah anak yatim atau fakir miskin dari bayar RM 90 kat CITIBANK PENIPU nih.

Please advise me.

ko pi ofis dia dan bawak berbincang dgn person in charge...selalunya citibank kalau kita dah marah2 dorang dorang takut skit.....takut kita sensasi kan cerita......
so dorang akan bertindak segera......

ishh RM90 nk bawak pi TV mcm tk berbaloi je.. try settle back office dulu

it happend to me before but from other bank... finally dorg adjusted amount tu... tp ada la caranya

advise aku, ko mintak nombor dept yg incharge bill tu, pastu direct talk to the person then faks bukti ko skali... tk yah thru hotline dah... follow up every now and then sbb kau kena tunjukkan ko very serious abt it... suara masa talk2 tu kena lembut tapi tegas... and simpan rekod tarikh2 yg ko buat call tuh.... kalau terbukti charges tu valid ko byr, kalau tk terbukti jgn byr and mintak dorg adjust kan...

Apa yg tuna buat tu...dah betul dah....first and foremost....I need to know....have you contact the citiphone before you faxed your credit card termination letter....what did you write in the letter...ade tak customer officer yg fax kan FORM termination letter...? Kalo ade lagi bagus..kdg2 dorang pemalas...dorang suruh kite buat surat sendiri and cut the card into pieces and send to them via post....tapi kalo ikut from the explaination you have given...u have done what the procedures required...rasenya takde masalah..

All u have to do now is......
1) Call Citiphone...03- 2383 0000 ...yg ni kat Jalan Ampang punye....cakap ngan dorang isu ko...Kalo dorang bagi alasan bangang kononnya...dorang dah auto charge annual fees card without noticing that you have terminate the card...ko explained balik..kalo dia suruh ko fax kan..fax balek...pas dah fax ..ko call balek the particular customer officer.....amek nama dia...dgn ID dia skali...tau....tanya dia sama ade dia dah dpt ke belom fax..kalo tak dia buat sambel lewa je...kalo susah sgt ko pegi je Citibank sendiri tunjukkan surat tu..kalo dorang lebeh2 ko...ko cakap ko nak tuleh kat paper je....PADAN MUKE...

2) Kalo dorang cakap ni masalah teknikal kununnya....department lain tak dpt maklumat yg ko dah terminate the card...ko cakap ngan supervisor...ko ckp mcm ni "why ctbank is being so hard for me ya...I want to speak to ur supervisor or else I'll make a report to BANK NEGARA" gerenti dorang kecut punya....( aku dapat rasekan keadaannya muhahahaha... ..experience perhaps )..kalo degil gak maki je...kecut pewot officer tu nanti...tapi jgn lah tahap mcm tuh...

3) Ini  cume satu promotion nak tarik balek....customer dorang yg lama...ade setengah tu siap bagi kad baru lagi....padahal org tu tak subscribe pon....akibatnya kami lah kene maki...senang citer ko jgn bayo langsung..tak tau lah kalo sblm ni ada bayaran yg accrued...tapi takkan sampai 2 tahun baru nak settle....kalo dorang kasik alasan mcm tu ko cakap "itu silap u all lah...sbb masa nak terminate pon one of the condition is to settle any debts left....so kalo takde....termination akan approve..skrg ni dah approve 2 tahun dah....so takkan leh timbul isu ni....so it was your bank fault"...JGN RISAU NI PERKARA KECIK JE

OFF TOPIC>>>>>>>>Hmmmm...keje ngan CITIBANK ni mewah segala tapi preasure..dorang treat customer mcm RAJA...so ko jgan riso dorang takkan tak ikut instruction ko..sbb nama dorang tu penting..tambah plak skrg..HSBC dah nak pukul dorang...dan keje kat sini social yg ammmmmmmaaat...puas lah penah enjoy ngan dorang dulu ..tapi cukup2 lah..aku x sanggup keje kat tempat yg tak reti nak solat dan x paham ape pentingnya solat.....saje nak kasik info lebih ..kalo ade sesapa yg berminat nak keje kat CITIBANk...work prospect class....tapi terpaksa korbankan byk bende nak solat JUMAAT pon siksa....

tak sia2 aku bukak thread ni...

hati aku dah lapang dah....

aku baca pandangan dan info korang mmg best.... aku harap topik ni dapat disimpan dan dijadikan panduan kat orang lain yg ada masalah dgn kredit kad company yg kuat menipu esp CITIBANK ni

aku dah practic kan apa yg korang cadangkan....

kalau last week diorang buat endah tak endah dgn call aku... hari ni terus terminate dan tak perlu bayar RM 90 tu

aku ugut nak report kat BANK NEGARA as what u all have suggested... terus cepat2 diorang terminate kad aku tu..

aku tanya takde ke apa2 surat menyurat menyatakan yg phone call antara aku dan diorang ni valid... sbb aku cakap aku dah TAK PERCAYA lagi dgn CITIBANK ni sbb buat customer yg good spender dan good payer macam aku ni... dulu pun thru phone call diorang kata card aku terminate... tiba2 jadi camni, sapa tak hangin..

2 taun beb... dibuatnya aku dah buang semua surat menyurat dan bukti2 pembayaran aku tu.. tak ke naya aku kena bayar sia2 kat PENIPU tu

kali ni aku tulis kat statement tu nama orang tu dan dari department mana... dulu aku ada tulis nama salespeople tu tapi aku cari balik tak jumpa kat mana aku tulis... siap simpan no direct dia kat hp tapi aku dah delete no salespeople pompan tu... budak cina

nasib la benda ni settle..... kalau tak settle aku mmg akan report kat BANK NEGARA... walaupun mula2 aku gertak jer... siap budak tu cakap, benda ni kecik, leh settle between us.. ciss... bagi aku bukan kecik.... bagi aku perkara besar walaupun orang lain pandang RM 90 tu ciput... bg aku RM 90 tu boleh suap mulut anak yatim tau...

dulu masa aku miskin, leh la nak guna kad kredit... la ni.. tak yah la... pakai cash jer nak beli apa pun senang...

Alhamdulillah... terima kasih banyak2 korang

setakat orang tv tu mmg aku leh buat sbb aku nyer orang kuat kat tv mmg ada... apa da hal... setakat nak call lawyer tu.... aku sanggup bayar pun kalau nak kena fight bab RM 90 tu

for me .. it's not about money.. it's about my maruah dan KREDIBILITI sebuah bank yg patut dikira... once nama bank ni busuk.. susah diorang nak cari makan beb...

aku tak nak jadi PENGGUNA yg diperbodohkan oleh PENIPU macam diorang ni

mudah2an korang pun fight la for your RIGHTS if anything happen tak semestinya dgn bank malah dgn pihak lain pun...

Alhamdulillah sangat2

Hari ni aku dapat 2 pengajaran apabila menjadi PENGGUNA YANG BIJAK dan FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHTS

1. Masalah pasal claim yg tak sah telah diselesaikan dan diharap menjadi pedoman dan bantuan buat orang lain jugak

2. Aku dapat Annual Fee Waive!!! Tapi ni bank lain la.. Bank yg aku plg sayang sbb memudahkan urusan idup aku..... Bestnya idup aku.... selepas tamat installment tu aku akan terminate forever kad kredit terakhir....

Cara nak dapat Annual Fee Waiver... Call Customer Service diorang... simply ask pasal ni... dia akan bgatu camner... tapi pastikan track record korang power la mcm aku.... aku mmg a good spender dan an excellent payer... aku selalu bayar lebih dari biasa sebab tu CITIBANK sayang kat aku dan tak nak aku lari.... hahahhaha..

now, tgh buat surat utk mintak LIFETIME ANNUAL FEE WAIVER.... kalau tak, kena call setiap tahun... anyway, small matter.. cuma leceynya nak dapt bercakap dgn customer service tu berapa kali dah disconnected call dari diorang... ciss

aku nak hidup bebas dari sebarang ikatan bank sbb tanpa diorang, aku lebih kaya dari dulu.... i live a happy live.... ALHAMDULILLAHHHH

lama wooo jadik customer
pehtu excellent payer
asik2 tambah credit limit, kasik plat card
sumer kupulangkan
ampehhh....

i don't have many cards - just with citibank and hsbc
sebab selalu travel obc

now i have settled all my credit card balance
memang cash basis jek la skang
tadak duit, tunggu bulan depan
kalo tak bebetul important, mebbe you don't really need it at all...

Yup I was a citibanker....I was at consumer site......nak cakap susah ke x susah..it depends on timing lah...entahla... managers kat dlm tu ikut kepala dorang...angin baik...baikla...angin buruk....buruklah,keje kat consumer site mmg susah...tak sama ngan TM net ke...Celcom ke...sbb we are dealing with people's financial...it needs powerful analytical thinking...your conversation must be short and precise, accuracy is very important..do not simply say things without knowledge..... jgn memain sbb org akan klua duit atau simpan duit based on the officer's decission...whatever decission you've made for the customers....it is your resposibility....It was so challenging to work in the no.1 bank in the world  ....

Citer dia mcm ni....ada skali tu I gi solat Jumaat...tau lah kita org ni keje ikut syif....dah la I kene gantikan tempat org pompuan...masa tu kwn I ada emergency kes...so kita org dah deal....dia yg nak exchange..dia yg patut bagi tau floor manager...u know what happened...at last dia x bagi tau...I plak kene bagi tau sendiri...ok thats fine lah sbb keje kene serious kan....tapi nape org tu mesti cakap "That's why i seldom rotate muslim working on Friday" and can u believe the manager is a muslim too...I felt very unsecure to work in the place like that..where I cannot do my routine....it is vital rite, bile org muslim dah tak membela org muslim susah nak cakapkan.....ape yg masalah sgt...nak tebalek ke CTBank takde I.....it only consume about 1 hour and 15 minutes...bukannya I jenis makan..berjam2..org laen lagi teruk gi KLCC....bukannya solat pon, balek cepat pas tu nak compare dorang ngan I..dia tanya "apasal org laen amek masa cepat je solat Jumaat" padahal dia tau bkn bebudak tu gi solat pon..pas tu ada byk pilih kasih gak....u cube tanya hubby u...department I tu social giler tak? Pada I it was....fuhhhh...... ..I dgr turn over labour kat department I tu very high...dgr nya manager kat situ dah ramai lari gak..I guess sbb x tahan preasure kan....

....nak solat biasa pon susah....ada manager ....selalu sindir kita org "don't pray2..." mcm Puah CHu Kang plak.... mase tu tgh training lah....dia maksudkan don't pray sebenarnya...keje as customer officer ni seksa jiiwa je...kalo mcm senior lain...dorang sound je manager2 kat sana.....mcm kita org yg baru2 ni kene senyap lah....Since i felt very unsecure...I did tender my resignation 24 hours...that is even before I got any job....I dun like the job function as well...kene marah ngan klien...kene preasure ngan manager...they wanted to maintain as the leader among the banks in m'sia..as I know they are conquering 60% Credit Card market..while the other 40% shared by other banks in the market....setau I gov tak benakan dorang bukak CTbank selain KL, Johore and Penang..tapi skrg ni dah merata..alasan sbb k'jaan nak control bank mcm ni...nak naikkan local bank mcm Maybank dll....tapi ape jadi skrg?

Tapi keje kat CTbank ni mmg your value kat luar tinggi....lepas I tendered tu...tak sampai berapa minggu dah dpt keje lain..lagi pon I nak buat keje yg sama dgn my qualification.....I pon dah stable skrg takde ape nak dikesalkan masa lalu...semua ada hikmah...I penah mintak dituka ke department finance mase kat Ctbank...tapi mngr tu cakap "that's impossible...dkt Finance department sendiri ada internal competitors...." so dorang advice kan tumpukan kat consumer site je lah....tapi biler dah mcm nih....susah lah..I don't know about other department...mungkin dorang lagi free kot nak gi solat...never mind at least I have experienced being a banker...yg penting dorang x leh tipu sgt ...I tau sistem kat bank tu....ada PCKI, ada PCTD....u blh cek semua trnsactions even yg baru punye trasnsaction pon..bankers know what I am talking about ya..heheh;) ...byk pengalaman yg I dah kutip kat sana..takpelah it is just part of my life journey...

Sorry if I hurt ur feeling cek dek na..since ur husband work there....mungkin dia department lain dia x rase sgt lah....naseb memasingkan lah kan....KALO ADE SESAPE YG NAK KEJE KAT BANK NI GO AHEAD...EXPERIENCE NYA VALUABLE...TAPI BKN SENANG NAK MASUK CITIBANK NI...I AM NOT PREJUDICE SBB TAK SEMESTINYA APE YG AKU DAH LALUI ORG LAEN AKAN LALUI....MASING2 ADE LIFE JOURNEY MASING2....I AM JUST SHARING MY EXPERIENCE...

dia ada gak mention labour turnover consumer side memang tinggi
sebab once you dah keja for a while, memang value you tinggi
he also said, if you can get through citibank, you can get through any bank
memang work pressure sgt2 high
tapi if i am not mistaken kat corporate side they value bumi so much
cam ada quota pulak la kan from bank negara on the bumi staff percentage
tapi tak lau le betoi ke tak
(ish kalo tak betoi abih daku... )

anyway, i guess mana you kerja pun the same
tak sumer yg we experience will be experienced by anyone else

by the way, you pernah kerja under piyush tak bila dia join consumer side?
i have met piyush personally in his house when piyush was still with the corporate side
apparently this guy memang suka buat makan2 kat umah dia and certain staff je invited at any one time
fortunately my hubby was chosen and piyush is a very nice guy!!!

anyway, nice chatting with you batu!

lebih kurang mcm kes nenek gak la.

dengan Bank Islam. Nenek haritu setel abiskan bayaran seme. dan terminate cc tu.
nenek tanya dengan orang kaunter tu, how much the amount i must be settel it. dan dorang pon siap kol dengan orang bhgn kad utk tanya amount tu. pehtu kasik tau dengan nenek.
dan depan nenek doragn potong kad tu seme.

sebulan kemudian, nenek dapat surat dari Bank islam. dorang kata ada bayaran tertunggak RM35.

nenek kol orang bank islam, apa kes ni? dorang kata kesilapan mengira. mungkin sebab masa haritu dorang tak kira sekali dengan interest ke apa bendanya tu. then nenek cakap, kenapa plak bleh mcm tu, sedangkan nenek dah tanya dah haritu brapa rm kena bayar utk setel cc tu.
pehtu dia pon takleh nak jawab apa.

nenek cakap : kalo saya takmo bayar macam mana?

org bank islam : terpulanglah. nak bayar ke tak.

then nenek biarkan je. bulan depannya sampai lagi bil. pehtu sampai lagi. last2 dapat surat warning, nenek kena bayar gak. kalo tak nak amik tindakan.

tapi nenek buat donno je. sampai sekarang tak sampai pon bil tu. tah2 dah tersenarai kat pejabat loyer agaknya. dapat surat saman.

Thanks....I just wanted to help them...not more than that...getting credit...is another story....at least they can clarify their problems...I've got no other intentions

Fuhhh...lege u mention mcm tu...takpe I am happy with my work now...but I must admit Citibank has given me valuable values in my career.... tapi as a consumer kite kene bijak handle financial kite..kalo tak org senang2 je nak amek kesempatan... bear in mind, our money is a return from our sweat therefore handle it with care....

About piyush I cannot remember lah....I joined Ctibank 2002 klua dlm middle 2003....tak lame sgt tapi disebabkan kite kene fast moving keje sekejap pon rase setahun...nama nak balek awal pukul 6.00 mcm tu takdelah...paling lewat pon pukul 11.30 mlm mcm tuh....sbb nak catch semua mende dlm mase sekejap...sbb Ctbank ni cepat sgt tuko strategi...ari2 dpt email sampai x tebace...heheh...anyway gud to hear that u are invited to the house....org kat sane kebanyakannya friendly...mcm Americans lah kirenya heheheh...nice talking 2 u too
