Zanessa - 'High School Musical' To Lead Hollywood Parade
Game show icon Bob Barker and the cast of "High School Musical" will help lead the annual holiday parade, which was canceled by its former sponsor, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, for financial reasons after 79 years, the Los Angeles Times reported.
This year's parade will step off at 5 p.m. on Nov. 25 and will follow the same route -- east on Hollywood Boulevard between La Brea and Highland avenues and then west along Sunset Boulevard between Highland and La Brea.
About 35 bands, floats and equestrian units have been booked so far by a private producer hired by city of Los Angeles officials, who last month agreed to spend $175,000 for the event.
"This was something I couldn't in good conscience let die," said City Council President Eric Garcetti, who represents the Hollywood area. "This parade is one of the last free things families can do."
In 2006, the parade cost the chamber about $1 million to produce, and the business group was about $100,000 in the red once all the bills were paid, the Times reported.
This year's parade will be videotaped by cable TV staff from CityView Channel 35. The tape will be aired at noon, Dec. 16, by KTLA-TV Channel 5 and possibly later on WGN-TV in Chicago, Garcetti said. Both stations are owned by Tribune Co., as is The Times.

1 - Vanessa [along with fellow Disney Channel stars Ashley Tisdale & Miley Cyrus] will be presenting an award at the 2007 American Music Awards! Not sure who exactly will be presenting the award with her, but most sources have been saying it'll be with Ashley Tisdale [which would make sense, but as far as I know that has not been confirmed yet]. Either way, it should be good.
2 - Zanessa will be attending the High School Musical 2: Extended Edition DVD screening on November 19th at the El Capitan Theatre. The DVD will be available in stores on December 11th.

Is it time for Zanessa to take it to the next level? That's what many will believe and think when they find out that Zac Efron's sweetie Vanessa Hudgens is looking to move out on her own.
According to reports she may be looking to take some of that upcoming cash from "High School Musical 3" and invest in some California real estate.
Or others may believe that she is ready to dump Zac and branch out on her own as Hollywood's most eligible bachelorette.
Let's get through the simple joke already - yes we all realize that Vanessa will now have a whole lot more room than just her one little bedroom for taking racy photographs. Let's face it - she can set up her own studio.
