aku x tau la apa lg yg juve ni tunggu. sejak last yr lg dh dgr cite barzagli n juve ni. beli je la.... takkan nk hrp kt legrotagglie kot. chiellini pun dh injured...

Barzagli Linked With Juve's Ailing Defence

Juventus' recent defensive injury woes have seen them linked with a host of defenders old and young, but Andrea Barzagli perhaps remains the Old Lady's number one target...

In addition to youngsters and Olof Mellberg, Juventus have also been linked with Palermo captain Andrea Barzagli as they look to strengthen their back line.

However, earlier confirmed approaches for the Italian international defender focused on an end-of-season move. Now, though, Giorgio Chiellini has picked up an injury, rendering a new defender a matter of utmost urgency for coach Claudio Ranieri.

The idea was that a youngster would sign on in January to act as a temporary replacement before taking to the bench upon Giorgio's recovery. However, it could also be the case that Barzagli's proposed move is brought forward.

Tuttosport reports that the World Cup winner could in fact join Juventus this month as a key winter signing.

However, Palermo president 'Zampa' Zamparini would presumably be unlikely to sanction such a move without first securing a signing himself.

Tardelli: Ranieri Wrong, Buffon Right

Former Juventus director Marco Tardelli has spoken about Claudio Ranieri and the 1982 World Cup winner believes the Tinkerman has made an error in Turin.

Earlier this season, Ranieri told journalists that he was confident of winning the Scudetto this term. However it now seems highly unlikely given the massive points advantage between high flying Inter and the Bianconeri.

Tardelli believes that Ranieri has given the Juve fans 揻alse

Juve & Lyon Agree Boumsong Move - Report

Juventus defender Jean-Alain Boumsong is just hours away from joining Lyon on loan, according to reports in Italy.

This morning the Bianconeri and Lyon reached an agreement over the Frenchman, which will see him complete a loan move until the end of the season, with an option to then make the transfer permanent.

Boumsong signed for Juventus in the summer of 2006 for just under

yeHAAaa..
juve menang.. tapi buffon injured

27 January 2008
Great demonstration of power at the Picchi

Juventus have given a nice present to Buffon for his 30th birthday, a few hours early. Belardi showed he's a worthy deputy and made a great save on Tristan after a few minutes. His team mates did the rest and crushed Livorno (3-1) who were only in contention for an hour.

Once more, against the Tuscans it was the strikers who proved decisive. Trezeguet scored two more goals after the hat trick he got in the home game and has now scored five in games played at the Picchi. Del Piero scored a goal very similar to those he scored in Rome against Lazio, after a personal run. Bogdani got one back near the end for Livorno, who were down to 10 men after De Vezze was sent off in the 54th minute. Before the final whistle, Ranieri gave a moment of joy to Castiglia too. The Cuneo-born midfielder made his Serie A debut, one day after scoring two with the Youth Team.

This was the best possible way to reply to Roma, Fiorentina and AC Milan's wins; the third place position remains more secure than ever. Juve earned two points on Inter Milan too. The top position remains out of reach for now, but it's another positive sign three days before the return match against the Nerazzurri scheduled Wednesday at the Olimpico. Qualifying for the Italian Cup semi-finals would be another great achievement.

The League returns in seven days' time. Next Sunday Cagliari arrive in Turin, and it seems that when they smell Juve they suddenly wake up (see today's win against Napoli).

Player Ratings: Udinese - Juventus
Juventus came from behind to earn a crucial 2-1 win in Udine this afternoon. Carlo Garganese offers his player ratings from the game…

Udinese

Handanovic 5.5: Juventus failed to have many efforts on goal, but both they did ended up in the back of the net.

Zapata 6.5: Solid as a rock in the first-half and kept Trezeguet at bay for the entire game.

Coda 5.5: The nerviest of the Udinese backline. One error in the first half could have proved costly.

Lukovic 6.0: Relatively sound performance from Lukovic, although Del Piero did get the better of him twice in the last 20 minutes.

Ferronetti 6.0: Disciplined performance from the former Roma youth-product. Supported well and got in a number of crosses.

Inler 8.0: Very impressive. I see shades of Esteban Cambiasso in the young Swiss international. Completely ran the show in midfield in the first half. Tactically astute.

D’Agostino 7.0: Beautiful deliverer of free-kicks and corners, hitting the woodwork from one in the first-half. Is maybe starting to live up to the promise he had as a teenager.

Dossena 8.0: Like a steam-engine down the left-hand side. Not only did he score Udinese’s goal but he was a constant threat especially in the first half. Could be a regular in the Italy national team squad for the 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign.

Floro Flores 6.0: Had tonnes of efforts on goal but his finishing was either not up to scratch, or as was the case towards the end he had the superhuman Gianluigi Buffon denying him.

Quagliarella 6.5: Tale of two half’s for Quagliarella. The Neapolitan was excellent in the first, hitting the post and having a bicycle kick just go wide. In the second he was below-par and contributed little.

Di Natale 7.5: Ran Chiellini and Legrottaglie ragged at times and was a constant threat all game. Would have scored had it not been for Buffon’s heroics.

Substitutes: Candreva – NA

Juventus

Buffon 10: This analysis is simple - if it hadn’t been for Buffon, Juve would have lost this game. World-class save from Di Natale in the first half at 0-1 and two more brilliant stops in the second.

Zebina 5.5: Zebina is aggressive and gets stuck in but the tactical side of his game has let him down his entire career. Booked for arguing with the referee.

Molinaro 5.0: Dreadful this afternoon. Was caught out of position constantly in the first half and was lucky that at least two goals didn’t occur due to his defensive inadequacies.

Legrottaglie 5.5: Skinned for Udinese’s first goal and at fault for the chance when Di Natale raced through on goal. Improved in the second-half.

Chiellini 6.0: Chiellini was very shaky in the first-half and also made an error on Di Natale’s chance. However he was a rock after the interval, perhaps finding his feet after his injury lay-off.

Camoranesi 6.5: Also a little ring-rusty after some extended spells on the sidelines. However he scored the crucial equaliser with a bullet header from a corner.

Nocerino 5.5: Completely dominated by Inler in the first-half, however like most of his team-mates, improved in the second period.

Zanetti 6.5: Similar analysis to Nocerino’s above, although Zanetti really did take the game by the scruff of the neck in the second 45 minutes.

Nedved 7.0: Nedved was Juve’s best player on the pitch last week against Cagliari. Today he was not so dominant, however a piece of magic set-up Iaquinta’s winner. This alone gets him a rating of 7.

Del Piero 6.5: The only player in the first half for Juve who tried, albeit unsuccessfully, to make something happen. Some nice touches, but never really exploded into life. Set-up Camoranesi’s goal from the corner.

Trezeguet 3.0: Substitute Iaquinta did more in the first 10 seconds he was on the pitch than Trezeguet did for his 74 minutes. The prolific Frenchman was completely anonymous and must have touched the ball only a handful of times.

Substitutes: Palladino – 6.5, Iaquinta – 7.5, Sissoko – NA

Cannavaro On Calciopoli: Juve Won Titles Fair & Square

Fabio Cannavaro has declared that Juventus won their two Scudetti from 2005 and 2006 because they were the best team and could not care less about the telephone calls accusations.

The Bianconeri were infamously relegated to Serie B and had the two Scudetti they had won under Fabio Capello revoked following the outbreak of the Calciopoli scandal in the summer of 2006.

Most Juventus players from that time are still bitter about what has happened and stress that they won these Scudetti not because any cheating was going on, but simply because they were the best team.

揢s players from that Juve side that was tried and punished feel like they were our Scudetti that were taken away and we feel the same as Inter do now,

Del Piero Magic Downs Roma
Juventus 1-0 Roma

Alessandro Del Piero scored a brilliant free-kick as Juventus virtually ended Roma's Scudetto hopes with a 1-0 win at the Stadio Olimpico in Turin.

Del Piero struck just a minute before half-time, arrowing in an unstoppable shot into the top corner to give Juve a deserved first-half lead.

However Roma dominated the second half, without really creating any clear-cut chances, but the Bianconeri held firm to move to within one point of their second-placed opponents.

Coming into the game Claudio Ranieri had a full-squad to choose from, with the exception of long-term casualties Jorge Andrade and Marco Marchionni. In the end The Tinkerman threw a surprise in his line-up, opting for a trident attack of Alessandro Del Piero, Vincenzo Iaquinta and David Trezeguet. Momo Sissoko and Raffaele Palladino were once again on the bench.

Roma Coach Luciano Spalletti was without the injured Juan, while he also rested Christian Panucci. David Pizarro was preferred to Alberto Aquilani in midfield.

Juventus had a strong start and Nicola Legrottaglie had a shot charged down at a corner during the very first minute of the game.

Pavel Nedved then unleashed a missile from distance that cannoned off the back of Daniele De Rossi's head.

The game was very tactical but on 15 minutes Max Tonetto overlapped down the left and whipped in a dangerous cross that was punched away by Gianluigi Buffon at his near post.

Mancini then cut inside before firing in a shot that was deflected off Francesco Totti before Legrottaglie cleared the danger. De Rossi also tried his luck from long-range but his shot went well wide.

Del Piero and Mauro Camoranesi were linking up well for Juve and on 22 minutes a neat one-two led to the midfielder screwing the ball wide from outside the area.

On 29 minutes Iaquinta found space down the left and whipped a cross in for the impressive Del Piero, who nipped in front of his man and flicked a header into the arms of Doni.

Juve were looking dangerous from set-pieces and a Del Piero corner caused havoc in the Roma area before Philippe Mexes cleared the danger.

Roma's best chance of the game so far came on 37 minutes when some slack defending by Juve gave Simone Perrotta a sight of goal inside the area and his left-foot shot was deflected dangerously over.

Just moments later the Bianconeri launched a lightning fast counter-attack and Trezeguet chipped up a cross for Iaquinta who saw his volley brilliantly turned around the post by Doni.

On 43 minutes David Pizarro lost the ball in midfield and Nedved was cynically taken down by Mexes on the edge of the penalty area. From the resulting free-kick Del Piero unleashed a thunderous free-kick into the top corner of the net. It flew into the net like a ballistic missile.

Roma's heads were down but incredibly they almost equalised within 30 seconds as Legrottaglie slid in to turn the ball onto his own post after a cross from the right from Taddei.

Juventus received a huge blow at half time as Camoranesi, who had been excellent in the first half, was forced off and replaced by the more defensive Antonio Nocerino.

Camoranesi’s loss could be seen straight away as Roma immediately took the initiative, while Juve lost all of their creativity in midfield.

Marco Cassetti's cross almost found Totti at the near post, but Er Pupone was too slow in getting to the ball. Matteo Ferrari then got in front of Giorgio Chiellini to flick a corner just past the near post.

The Giallorossi were really pushing for an equaliser and Pizarro fired in a shot from 20 yards but he sliced it wide.

One of Juve's surprise performers was Jonathan Zebina, and he burst forward from right back and hit a half-volley over after the ball had fallen kindly to him.

Roma were pinning Juve back and Mexes rose above his man at a corner and headed just wide with Buffon rooted to the spot.

A beautiful chipped pass by Pizarro was then cushioned by Giuly into the path of Totti but the forward just couldn't stretch to reach it.

Juventus were defending desperately at times and Pizarro had a shooting opportunity on the edge of the box but scuffed the ball wide. Tonetto then went down inside the area under pressure from two defenders but the full-back didn’t even appeal for a penalty.

Claudio Ranieri knew that he had to make a change to quell Roma's dominance and replaced Trezeguet with midfielder Momo Sissoko.

De Rossi was now running the show in midfield and he executed a delightful nutmeg on Sissoko to set another Roma attack moving. As the game moved into the final 20 minutes it became evidently clear that Juventus had no other intention but to try and defend their lead for the remainder of the game.

On 76 minutes De Rossi unleashed an incredible free-kick from at least 35 yards, and Buffon flew to his right to pluck the ball out of the top corner.

In a rare Juventus counter-attack the home side's best player Nedved fizzed in a dangerous cross that almost found its way to Iaquinta. De Rossi and Del Piero then exchanged shots in quick succession but both screwed their efforts wide.

It seemed that Juventus now had Roma’s attack under control as Zanetti, Nocerino and Sissoko sat in front of the defence to close the space.

Ranieri’s men comfortably played out the rest of the game, and Juve picked up a win that moves them to within one point of Roma in second place.

As for the Giallorossi their Scudetto hopes are now all but over, as they fall 11 points behind Inter with just 15 games left to play.

Juventus: Buffon; Zebina, Legrottaglie, Chiellini, Molinaro; Camoranesi (Nocerino 46), Zanetti, Nedved (Palladino 81); Del Piero; Iaquinta, Trezeguet (Sissoko 67)

Roma: Doni; Cassetti, Ferrari, Mexes, Tonetto; Pizarro (Aquilani 73), De Rossi; Taddei (Giuly 60), Perrotta (Esposito 82), Mancini; Totti

Player Ratings: Juventus - Roma
Juventus all but ended Roma’s Scudetto hopes with a 1-0 win in Turin tonight.

Carlo Garganese rates the players on show...

Buffon - 6.5: Decision-making was perfect as always, and he made one excellent stop from De Rossi’s thunderbolt of a free-kick.

Zebina – 7.5: Zebina’s best performance in a Juventus shirt for quite sometime. Was a rock at the back.

Legrottaglie – 6.5: Clumsily turned the ball onto his own post in the first half but was a commanding presence after the break.

Chiellini - 6.5: Like Legrottaglie, Chiellini stood firm to withstand the Roma onslaught after the interval.

Molinaro – 5.0: Positionally Molinaro is quite simply awful. Repeatedly went AWOL to gift the likes of Cassetti and Giuly acres of space. Cicinho would have eaten Molinaro alive in the second half if he had played.

Camoranesi - 7.0: Camoranesi’s importance to this team can be seen if you look at the gulf of difference between Juventus’s first and second half performances. Was sorely missed after going off at the break.

Zanetti – 6.0: Not one of Zanetti’s better games. Was completely outclassed by De Rossi.

Nedved - 8.5: Another superb display by the Bionic Man. At the age of 35 his energy and workrate is astonishing. Won the free-kick for Del Piero’s goal.

Iaquinta – 6.5: Ran himself into the ground and was unlucky not to score before the break after being denied by a wonderful Doni save.

Trezeguet - 5.5: Another rather anonymous display from Trezeguet, although he did create Iaquinta’s chance with a neat cross.

Del Piero - 8.0: The Golden Boy was back on form, taking on opponents and scoring a simply unstoppable free-kick to earn his side victory.

Substitutes: Nocerino – 5.0, Sissoko – 6.5, Palladino – NA

Roma

Doni – 7.0: Made one brilliant stop from Iaquinta. You could argue that he shouldn’t have been beaten at the post he was covering for Del Piero’s goal, but such was the power of the shot that this would be a harsh analysis.

Cassetti - 6.5: Largely sound display by Cassetti, who defended and attacked well. Exploited the space left to him by Molinaro.

Ferrari - 6.5: The ex-Everton defender usually makes at least one mistake a game but not tonight. Never put a foot wrong.

Mexes - 6.0: Was caught out on a number of occasions, and it was his foul that led to the free-kick for Del Piero’s goal. Too easily wound up, as demonstrated with his ongoing spat with Nedved.

Tonetto – 5.5: Sloppy at times, gave away possession needlessly.

De Rossi - 9.0: A class act. Mirrored Cambiasso’s display for Inter earlier in the day. If De Rossi can consistently reproduce performances such as these what a monster of a player he is going to be.

Pizarro – 6.0: Tale of two halves for the Peruvian. Dreadful in the first, giving away possession in the build-up to the foul for Del Piero’s free-kick. After the break was excellent and was surprisingly replaced when Roma were dominating.

Taddei – 5.5: Not one of Taddei’s better games. Never really got into the match.

Mancini – 6.0: Similar analysis for Mancini as Taddei, although the ex-Venezia man fared slightly better.

Perrotta – 6.5: Typical hardworking display from Perrotta, who fired one first-half effort over and made a number of dangerous forward runs.

Totti - 4.0: What has happened to the great Totti? He has been so poor in recent weeks. The saying is that, in theory, Roma don’t play with a centre-forward due to their unique style of play. Well with Totti in this form, they really aren’t playing with a centre forward, in the quite literal sense.

Substitutes:  Giuly - 6,  Aquilani - 6, Esposito - NA
