oh ya ni resepi WANTAN MEE


chicken stock -

tulang chicken + garam + ginger + bawang + putih

-
wantan noodle - celup dlm air mendidih kasi hilang bau ubat-toskan

dlm kuali yg telah dipanaskan - campurkan  oyster sauce + kicap cair + kicap pekat + lada sulah dan sasame oil - masukkan chicken stock sedikit dan masukkan wantan
gaulkan then tutup api

hidang dengan sawi, bok choy, choy sum apa2 choy la..dan wantan  ( yg goreng buleh) rebus dlm sup pun sedap \!

Long...my mom selalu buat kuih ni...tapi kitaorang panggil 'puteri berendam'....tak bulat...kita orang buat besar guli, then tekan kat tengah (so rupa dia macam platlet darah merah)...flying saucer lebih kurang. Then kuah dia tu letak gula merah and sehelai daun pandan...kadang2 campur biji sagu.

Lopes ni dia pakai daun pisang mcm lemang kan. I hari tu baru buat lemang. Suka lopes original mcm tu. Teringat lah masa2 dulu.

I dulu pun time masak laptop atas kitchen counter. Tapi skrg ni tak leh lagi. Laptop dah konked, terover heated. Tak tau lah kena, samada sbb jadi teman masak atau I terbanyak surfing or terbanyak tolong husband type his work.

simple je kan. Tu sbb sedap. Lagi2 kalau sayur tu just a bit undercook. Ranggup gitu. Hana I tak suka sayur yg dah dimasak. Kalau mcm ni dia makan kalinye. Kalau tak nmpknye kenalah dia makan salad biasa je. Tapi salad biasa tak sedap ngan nasi putih.

BBQ Gathering at My friend's House...She made the main foods, chicken and beef and sausage. I bawak layered mashed potato and sweet potato, lupa nak amik picture. I jadi photographer je la It was an amazing outdoor event! She did such a wonderful job, we stayed until midnight. One of her college friend from Malaysia that live in Kansas come to visit and she made the rojak buah, turkey sausage, and Vietnamese Rice Wrap (One of the hit of the night).


Shrimp Kebab from Kak S. Still on the grill. My hubby jadi tukang jaga grill. Who did a good job.


Turkey Sausage from YL.


Vietnamese Rice Wrap. I begged for the recipe...super easy! Cannot stop eating these.


Kuih Seri Muka from Kak S. Orang sekampung eden jumpa lak kat Austin. Master masak Melayu.


Rojak Buah Station.

Memang betul Long...kawan dari Kansas bawak kuah rojak dari M'sia dekat sepuluh botol....memang kow-kow punya rasa. Kita orang siap angkut sorang sebotol. She said they sell it in Kansas. Siap ler, tiap-tiap bulan kena jadi supplier to Austin M'sian

Setelah sekian lama teringin nak buat carrot cake, maka hari ni 'terbuat'lah jugak. I memang cake2 yang jenis sapu2 krim tak berapa pandai. So penat gak nak meratakannya. One of my friend makes superb carrot cake, so I mintak resepi, and today I test it. She normally made it in bread pan. I made it in silicon 9 x 1.5 inches (double layer). I use cream cheese frosting, kurangkan gula. I modified the recipe a little bit.

Here my first attempt of carrot cake. Rasa tak tau lagi. Sorrylah, tak berapa lawa

Baru start spreading cream cheese frosting...berpeluh eden.

Eyzlyn, ni lah dia Mee Maggi perasa asam kita modify jadi Laksa Ganu. Percayalah. Saya ikut resipi eyzlyn & guna tuna. Daun kesum saya tak tau macamana rupa dia. So saya guna sejenis daun yg emak saya tanam di belakang rumah.


Mee maggi tak nampak.


Dlm gambar ni nampak pulak mee maggi.

Weekend ada cari mee yg warna putih yg org biasa buat Laksa Penang tttp tak jumpa2.

Craving for naan?

Rajin pulak buat naan kebelakangan ni.

Yg ni mcm bhatura. Saya guna tepung campur dgn air & gaul jadi dough. Then let it stand for 1 hr. Lepas tu baru canai & goreng. Minyak kena bnyk sikit dlm kuali.


Yg ni pulak naan biasa je. Tepung campur dgn mentega & air jadi dough. Proses sama je. Let it stand for 1 hr. Baru uli sebelum dimasak dlm non-stick pan. Bubuh 1 teaspoon minyak makan or sedikit mentega/margarine bila menggoreng.


Sedap makan dgn kari kentang. Saya campur dgn sayur bayam sikit. Sedap jugak. Kalau bubuh kacang dhall lagi sedap. Dah kehabisan stock kacang dhall.


PS. Rasa mcm kat India pulak makan naan & kari kentang. Satu je, saya tak minat filem Hindustan   tapi Indian foods paling suka.
