masa mule2 beli sy gune win xp,lepas tu ader prolem dgn software setting sound.so sy pegi hp center kat bangsar,tech kat sane yg kate compaq yg br ni hanye utk win vista.

so , setakat ni sume ok,but baru2 ni sy perasan yg built in mic tk berfungsi.sy terlupe nk cek masa g hp center,tu yg nk tanyer kwn2 kat sini kot2 ade yg gune compaq ni.

sy da jenuh adjust kat sound setiing.actually,sy pun br ni la gune win vista,so manela tau kot2 win vista ni lain ker setiing nyer..hope ade yg dpt tolong sy.tq.

call customer service and ask. Or u can go manual online....and read the manual or u can go online to chat with hp technician (24hrs service)
I guna the same one..Win Vista...I had that prob in the beginning then...I ask online technician. Very helpfull.

sy da try online chat dgn compaq asst,so after they check nbook s/number rupenye shipment tk dtg sekali dgn internal mic,so i pakai ext mic,but masalahnye bile i chat gune ym i tk bole voice chat,then masa mule i enter the chat room ada message kuar " THE COMPUTER DOES NOT SUPPORT THE REQUIRED AUDIO COMPRESSION FORMAT,so ape yg patut i buat ni.
-hope kwn2 yg pakai compaq model f731au bole tlg i,or anyone yg tau ..plz i really need yr help.tq

basically, memana komputer yg ada audio driver buleh manage microfon external.
yg penting, masa buka audio preference tu, mic dah cucuk. so that, pc buleh detect.
dlm audio device properties, (control panel>audio properties>voice) buleh cuba ejas/godek mic punya section. dan setkan jugak seperately dalam yahoo/msn/skype/etc. messenger.

aku pun mengalami masalah yg sama. Aku memang guna mic tu utk buat recording.
