FIGHTER AIRCRAFT WEAPONS
The Gripen has seven external hardpoints for carrying payloads: one at each wingtip, two under each wing and one on the fuselage centreline.

The air-to-air missiles include MBDA (formerly Matra BAe Dynamics) MICA, Raytheon AIM-120B AMRAAM and Lockheed Martin / Raytheon Sidewinder AIM-9L (Swedish Air Force Designation RB74).

Sidewinder, mounted on the wingtips, is an all-aspect attack, short-range missile for enhanced dogfight capability. Air-to-surface missiles include the radar-guided Saab RBS15F anti-ship missile and Raytheon Maverick missile.

Later versions of the aircraft for Sweden will be armed with the short-range Diehl BGT Defence IRIS-T air-to-air missile and the MBDA Meteor Beyond Visual Range (BVR) air-to-air missile. Deliveries of IRIS-T began in December 2005. Meteor is due to enter service in 2010.

The Saab Bofors / MBDA Taurus KEPD 350 long-range standoff missile, with a range of 350km, has been successfully flight tested on the Gripen.

The internally mounted 27mm Mauser high-energy gun can operate in an automatic radar-guided aiming mode. The stand-off dispenser is the DWF39 from EADS (formerly DaimlerChrysler Aerospace) and Bofors. The Bofors ARAK 70 rocket pod is cleared for carriage on the Gripen.

COUNTERMEASURES SUITE

Saab Avionics is responsible for the EWS 39 electronic warfare suite, which has been ordered by the Swedish Air Force. EWS 39 is an integrated EW system that provides radar warning, electronic support measures and chaff and flare decoy dispensers.

GRIPEN SENSORS
The Ericsson PS-05 long-range multi-purpose pulse Doppler radar has air-to air operating modes covering long-range search, multi-target track-while-scan, multiple priority target tracking, air combat quick search modes, raid assessment and Beyond Visual Range (BVR) missile mid-course updates.

The air-to-surface modes include long-range search/target identification, multiple priority target tracking, high-resolution, real beam mapping, air-to-surface ranging and Doppler Beam Sharpening (DBS).

The aircraft is equipped with a Forward-Looking Infrared (FLIR) sensor and will have the Saab IR-Otis Infrared Search and Track system (IRST).

SH n Su30 depa dah decide, Su30 is the winner, and tu depa consider heavy MRCA, yg ni selection for medium MRCA, different category, bagus jugak depa decide nak pakai 2 jenis fighter dlm kuantiti yg munasabah i.e. 2 sqdn each type.

The FC-1 is fairly flexible in terms of avionics and weapon configurations. The JF-17 in PAF service will be fitted with an Italian Grifo S-7 fire-control radar. The radar has 25 working modes and a non-break-down time of 200 hours, and is capable of 搇ook-down, shoot-down

f we buy this aircraft, there will be many countries that will be happy.

Based on the MiG-29M OTV, MiG-35 (Nato reporting name Fulcrum F), is equipped with advanced avionic suite comprising of a modern glass cockpit designed with three 6x8 inch flat-panel LCDs and full HOTAS controls, digital map, helmet-mounted sight. The latest Zhuk-AE active electronically scanning array (AESA) radar is mounted on this aircraft. This radar was developed with modular approach, enabling upgrading existing Zhuk ME/MSE rapiresbangang, into the phased array equipped MFE/MSFE standard, deployed in MiG-29/Su-27 platforms.

The MiG-35 is fitted with western standard Mil-1553 bus and advanced Russian made weaponry. Reliability and serviceability have been improved, reducing operating cost and improving serviceability by 2.5 times (compared to older MiG-29s). MiG-35 is equipped with an optronic target tracker, identical to the system used on the Su-30MKI. For precision air-to-ground attack missions, the aircraft can be equipped with a conformal electro-optical targeting module, installed under the right air intake. The aircraft is equipped with radar warning, electro-optical missile launch warning and laser warning sensors, and integral active self protection (jamming, chaff and flare) as part of the integral self-defense system. The aircraft has four additional hardpoints and can haul an external payload in excess of six tons.

Most of the systems introduced in the MiG-35 can be applied to older MiG-29s through upgrading programs.

The aircraft is powered by two RD-33 MK engines digitally controlled smokeless engines, producing 9000kgf of thrust each. This type is an improved and uprated version of the standard RD33 engine. The engine was developed to power the carrier based MiG-29K and modernized version MiG-29M/M2.

Aku rasa la, dari 3 calon yg diketengahkan oleh TEMPUR, Gripen yg paling layak...

TUDM nak coba try test beli F-35?

2nd batch Su-30 pon belum tentu..apatah lagi plan 2012..ntah bile2 nak jadinyer..

Apepun logical solution maybe gripen memandangkan dah banyak yang pakai.tapi meaning kita akan share the same type of plane ngan Thai and even AEWC.

Then the issue of introducing another type of plane.jadik ape AF kita nanti by 2012 mungkin yang tinggal hanya su-30 and F18 (D? F?) then tambah MMRCA lak.jangan jadi akademi fantasia udah .

Therefore aku harap more H-MRCA around 4 skuadron termasuk yang ada skang.walaupun aku tau duit takdeee..
