Ravaging storm in Perlis

KANGAR: A thunderstorm damaged 30 houses and left a trail of destruction at three villages near here Saturday.

Kampung Wang Ulu, Behor Janggus and Teluk Jambu were damaged by the storm which struck at about 5pm. Many trees were uprooted and roofs of houses blown off.

Perlis Mentri Besar Datuk Dr Md Isa Sabu, who visited the victims after the thunderstorm subsided, said the state government would provide aid to those affected to help them repair their homes.
