SAM ADMITS TO WORKING OUT RELATIONSHIP WITH ANNE

"We're trying to work it out," was Sam Milby's description of hiscurrent relationship with Anne Curtis during a live interview on TheBuzz yesterday October 19. Sam also emphasized that their breakup wasnot triggered by a third party. “Yung problema namin we want to keep itto ourselves muna. Pero I can assure you, lahat ng mga tao, lahat ngfans, walang third party."
There is also much buzz nowadays linking Anne to actor JerichoRosales. The two are currently shooting the period film Baler, which isan official entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival this December. Therumor hasn’t died down since both Anne and Echo are now very muchsingle. Echo has previously clarified that he is not courting Anne andthat they are only friends. He also added that he is very much in goodterms with Sam. The Rockoustic Heartthrob confirmed Echo's statementand even defended the actor. "Jericho has nothing to do with it," Samemphasized.
When Boy expressed that there might be a second chance for Sam andAnne to get back together again, the Fil-Am actor was optimistic aboutthe idea. "I really hope so. We have a lot of amazing memories andeveryone knows how I still feel for her."
On the other hand, Sam shared that he is showing a different sideof him in his concert entitled Sam Milby, Rockoustic Heartthrob thisOctober 26 at the Aliw Theater. "I'm very, very excited. Maraming mgabagong kanta that people never heard me sing before. Aside from my oldsongs, they will see the rocker side of me. 'Yung genre ko talaga isalternative rock, so they will see a lot of that." Sam also mentionedthat fans will be in for a special treat because the trailer of hisfirst indie film, Cul-de-Sac, will be premiering during the concert.

Ginagampanan ni Anne Curtis ang role na Feliza Reyes, isangmagandang Filipina na umibig sa isang half-Spanish, half-Filipino played by Jericho Rosales sa 2008 Metro Manila Film Festival entry na Baler.
May pagka-Romeo & Juliet ang love story nina Anne at Jericho sa pelikula, na maging si Anne ay nagtataka kung bakit parang sobrang big deal at naha-hype ang naging kissing scene nilang dalawa ni Jericho sa movie.
"Ewan ko nga kung bakit, e. If you see it naman, it's done in a way na hindi mo kailangan ng super kissing, hindi mo kailangan to make it beautiful. That's how you do it, parang romantic talaga. Kapag sinabi mo kasing love scene, parang may malisya na," pahayag ni Anne nang makapanayam siyang PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa 5th Floor Corporate Office ng PAGCOR sa Hyatt & Casino Hotel sa Manila.
How would she compare yung naging love scene niya withAga Muhlach sa When Love Begins at sa love scene niya ngayon with Jericho rito sa Baler?
"Parehas hindi daring, e," sagot ni Anne. "Yung sa amin ni Aga, super wala lang. I don't know, sometimes they tried to make it a selling point. But in this movie, you don't need it naman."
MOVING ON. Naging controversiol ang kissing scene nila ni Echo sa Baler dahil may anggulo pang lumabas noon na tila pinag-ugatan ito ng selos ni Sam Milby. Ito rin ang naging dahilan ng kanilang breakup. Totoo ba ito?
"No, no, definitely, it's not the cause of the breakup! You know, sa amin naman kasi ni Sam, we respect each other's work naman," diin ni Anne.
Kumusta na ba siya ngayon?
"I'm good, I'm okay," nakangiti niyang sagot.
Ayon kay Anne, kung anumang unfinished business nila ni Sam aynapag-usapan na raw nilang dalawa.
"Napag-usapan na namin kaya okey na kami. We're friends at hindi na yung hindi kami nag-uusap. Hindi na yung hindi nagpapansinan. Okey na kami," saad ng aktres.
Nagte-text, nagtatawagan na ba silang muli?
"Hindi naman nagtatawagan, but you know, every now and then, may communication pa rin. I guess it's safe to say na may communication. But it's not an everyday thing," sabi niya.
Wala na ba ang dating pain na nararamdaman niya?
"Wala na," ani Anne.
Paano nangyari?
"It's a choice naman. Lahat naman pagdadaanan mo. I mean, if you've been through heartaches, nandoon ang denial, anger, pain, depressed. But then, you'll have acceptance and then, you're okay na."
Gaano katagal bago yung acceptance?
"I don't know, but it's been three months."
Although wala na raw yung feeling of being in love with Sam, aminado si Anne na wala pa naman daw siya sa proseso na handang makipagrelasyon muli.
"It's not something that I'm looking for. I mean, you have self-realization din naman kasi. I've realized that I always look for someone.Parang it's safe to say na it's just three months at okey lang na wala."
Is she dating now?
"No, not yet," sagot ni Anne. "If I feel that I'm ready at sa tingin ko naman, the guy is a nice guy, you know..."
Wala pang nagpaparamdam?
"Wala pa. Kasi, you know, with all the issues that are coming up, parang recent lang, di ba?"
May chance pa kayang magkabalikan silang dalawa ni Sam, especially now that they are on speaking terms again?
"I'm not saying that there's totally no chance at all. But, alam mo yun, there are certain things that you need to think of yourself first.Siguro, we'll just cross the bridge when we get there."
Kung siya ang masusunod, gusto niya na magkabalikan sila?
"Hindi ko iniisip."
Mahal pa ba niya si Sam?
"You know, I'll always love Sam, but I'm not in love with him anymore. I love him. I love him, pero yung in love, e, di sana umiiyak parin ako hanggang ngayon, di ba?" natatawang sabi niya.
When it comes to her leading man in the movie Baler, Anne stressed na hindi talaga nanligaw sa kanya si Jericho. Hindi rin silanag-usap regarding her breakup.
"Hindi namin pinag-uusapan yun. Professional kami pagdating sa set."
Ang pag-alis at pagbabakasyon daw ni Anne ng isang linggo sa Amerika ang nakatulong sa kanya to heal her pain.
"Ganoon naman talaga ako. When I know that I'm gonna need to fix myself, I leave the country. With what happened to my little sister [whodied], I left for Hawaii. When I came back, okey na ako. Nakakatulong talaga yung change of atmosphere.... It really helps you. And this time, I am with a friend, kaya mas naging mabilis."
ANNE & ERWIN. Naroon sa press conference ng Baler sa PAGCOR office hindi lamang ng PAGCOR Chairman na si Mr. EphraimGenuino, kundi maging ang anak nitong si Erwin Genuino, na na-link din kay Anne at pinaniniwalaan ng ilan na naging boyfriend niya.
"Well, he's one of the producers, I think, if I'm notmistaken ha. Basta, we're super okay naman. We still text from time to time."
Friends lang talaga sila?
"Yes, super friends!"
Nothing romantic?
"Malay ba natin, he might even have a girlfriend now. Si Erwin naman, he's super good-looking guy, well-mannered. We just got along before at hanggang ngayon pa rin naman."
Sa huli, natatawa na lang si Anne at sabay sumbong kay Erwin na ginagawan daw silang dalawa ng isyu ng entertainment press.

Sa breakup nina Anne Curtis at Sam Milby, kapansin-pansin daw ang malamig nilang pakikitungo sa isa't isa sa tuwing magkakasama sa iisang lugar. Sa panayam ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) kay Anne sa launching ng ineendorsoniyang slimming product na Fern Slim noong December 4, inamin ng aktres na naapektuhanang trabaho nila ni Sam sa Dyosa at ipinagpapasalamat niya na nagkausap na sila't naayos na ang working relationship nilang dalawa.
"Naapektuhan talaga, nahirapan talaga kami. Imagine, sa eksena magtititigan kayo, pero alam ninyo pareho that something painful happened. Mabuti na lang at pinag-usap kami and naayos naman yung working relationship namin."
EASING THE PAIN. Inamin din ni Anne na dumating siya sa point noon na ayaw na muna niyang makita si Sam. Kaya para maiwasan ito at maka-recover sa pain ng paghihiwalay nila, umalis muna siya ng bansa na kadalasan daw niyang ginagawa kapag broken-hearted siya o sobrang lungkot niya.
"Dumaan ako sa point na ganun. Lahat naman tayo dumadaan sa ganun once you get hurt. Butyou know, stage lang yun.
"Iba-iba ang way ng pagha-handle ko ng pain. Minsan lumalabas, gumigimik, bahay-bahaywith friends or out of the country. Nung namatay ang baby sister ko, nag-Hawaii ako. Nung nag-break naman kami ni Sam, I asked for a vacation. I went to New York."
Sa ngayon, bukas na uli ang communication nina Sam at Anne. Si Sam nga raw ang nag-initiate na makapag-usap muli sila to settle everything.
"Yes,okey na kami, si Sam ang nag-initiate. Nakakapag-usap na kami, nagpapansinan na. Yung di namin pagpapansinan dati, I can say na normal lang naman yun. Ginagawa lang issue kasi we're both in the business, but we're also human."
Matapos ma-link kay Rufa Mae Quinto, kay KC Concepcion naman na-link si Sam. Inamin ni Anne na talagang tinawagan niya si Rufa Mae tungkol sa isyu nila ni Sam. As for KC, wala naman daw siyang ginawa dahil alam niyang hindi naman totoo ang tsismis.
"Iasked was P-Chi... yung kay Rufa Mae. Pero hindi yung kay KC. Alam ko na hindi yun totoo and I'm nadyadyahe nga kay KC. Sobrang sorry ako na nadadamay siya sa issue namin [ni Sam]. I know they're friends."
Nang tanungin kung may posibilidad ng balikan between her and Sam, hindi naman makapagbigay ng malinaw na sagot ang dalaga. Aminado kasi si Sam na mahal pa rin daw niya hanggang ngayon si Anne.
"We'll see what will happen. But as for now, okey na kami siguro ng ganito," pahayag pa ng Fil-Australian actress.
ABOUT AKIHIRO. Sa isang interview sa Japanese-Brazilian model na si Akihiro Sato, sinabi nito na crush na crush niya si Anne. Kung mabibigyan nga raw ng pagkakataon, gusto nitongmakapareha si Anne. Flattered si Anne sa pahayag na ito ni Akihiro.
"I'm so flattered. Na-meet ko na siya sa ASAP. Cute naman siya.

Star Magic prime artists make a big bang in 2009
ABS-CBN Star Magic has established the industry's biggest and brightest stars in 2008. As Star Magic ushers this year, the premiere star maker gives more revelations in its roster of stars. 2009 will definitely be another great year for Star Magic's prime artists Piolo Pascual, Kristine Hermosa, Diether Ocampo, Angelica Panganiban, Sam Milby, Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz as they make a big bang.
Piolo Pascual ended 2008 grandly with the premiere of his Star Cinema movie Love Me Again (Land Down Under) in the US plus his award in last year's Star Awards for Television's Best Actor for Lobo. Piolo is obviously raring to start the year right with his movie with Angel Locsin in Star Cinema's New Year offering, showing on January 15. He is also getting ready to shoot a Korean drama remake of Lovers in Paris with his newest leading lady, KC Concepcion. Come this first quarter of the year, Piolo is not only busy with commitments on TV and film, he too is preparing a special Valentine concert at the Araneta Coliseum on February 21 with fellow ASAP crooners Mark Bautista, Sam Milby, Christian Bautista and Erik Santos. The concert will also have special provincial shows in Cebu (February 14), Bacolod (February 28) and Feburary 30 in Davao. He is also preparing for his own clothing line this year. He's still the face for San Mig Coffee, Max's Fried Chicken, Timex, Skytravel, Smart Telecommunications, Bench and Bench Pure Passion.
Kristine Hermosa is back with a vengeance in 2009 returning to the small screen via Susan Roces' Cinema Collection entitled Maruja. With the success of her recent Maalaala Mo Kaya episode which reunited her with former on screen loveteam mate, Jericho Rosales, she will start shooting a Star Cinema movie with the latter and Malaysian actress Carmen Soo very soon. Another big comeback is a soap opera lined up for the much-loved Echo-Tin tandem. She will also grace the cover of Metro Magazine in February. Kristine continues her campaign for Cinderella and Aeskultura.
Diether Ocampo remains a Kapamilya and has a new project with his home network to prove it. After the successful run of Iisa Pa Lamang in 2008, where he starred opposite Claudine Barretto, Diether is set to shoot a new drama, this time with Angel Locsin. The actor is also very much into his charity work and will be pushing more projects for the benefit of KIDS Foundation. He is actively doing rounds of visit in several provinces for the past year and will definitely be more serious with more charity works ahead. Diether too remains with his Bench and Pizza Hut family and will be seen in new campaigns around the metro soon.
Angelica Panganiban has made a villainess quite fabulous with her role as Scarlet in 2008's hit drama Iisa Pa Lamang. Now, Angelica is raring to sink her acting chops with the remake of Mexican telenovela entitled Ruby (Ang bidang kontrabida) where she will be playing another interesting character. The actress is also set to star in her first indie movie with Bea Alonzo, which is produced by award winning actor Albert Martinez. Angelica will reunite with Iisa Pa Lamang co-star Gabby Concepcion in a Star Cinema movie and off screen sweetheart Derek Ramsay. She will also be doing another TV show, Mariposa, in Kapamilya network soon. Angelica remains the endorser of Mario D' Boro shoes, Bench and Fern Slim. She will be active in endorsing a watch brand soon. She will however continue to ooze sexiness and show her funny side on ABS-CBN's comedy show, Banana Split.
Sam Milby is excited for the year ahead. After he has proven himself as an actor with substance in his first indie film in Cul De Sac which earned rave reviews from audiences and critics alike, he is Bea Alonzo's leading man in And I Love You So under Star Cinema. The Fil-American is also very happy with the good ratings of his teleserye, Dyosa and hopes that it continues to soar in 2009. Another TV project in the works for Sam is the drama, Buhay ng Buhay Ko where he will be starring opposite Angel Locsin and Diether Ocampo. Sam also joins his ASAP buddies Piolo Pascual, Mark Bautista, Erik Santos and Christian Bautista in a special Valentine show slated on February 21 at the Araneta Coliseum. The singer actor is also set to release a new album in collaboration with his former leading lady Toni Gonzaga. Bea Alonzo has become a household name because of her lauded portrayal of lovable Betty on ABS-CBN's take of the hit Columbian soap, I Love Betty La Fea. Bea was also hailed by Guillermo Memorial Mendoza Award as Box Office Queen in 2008. And hopefully she will also reign supreme in the box-office this year with her movie And I Love You So with former leading man Sam Milby. Bea continues with her endorsing duties for Smart, Kashieca, 4G food supplements, Clear shampoo and as the newest face of Belo Essentials.
John Lloyd Cruz has definitely made a mark in 2008 by landing the much coveted role of Armando in I Love Betty La Fea and having a box-office movie, Star Cinema's A Very Special Love opposite Sarah Geronimo. But in 2009, audiences will definitely see a bigger and bolder John Lloyd as he delves a gay role in a Star Cinema special presentation where he will act with the Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos. Last year's Box Office King has recently renewed his contract as endorser for Biogesic and Greenwich. Anne Curtis shares victory with Echo and Ipe
Actress Anne Curtis, Best Actress of the 34th Metro Manila Film Festival, said that it was her big-screen leading-man actor Jericho Rosales who really pushed her to give all her best in acting for their award-winning movie "Baler."
In an interview, Curtis also said that aside from Rosales, veteran drama actor Philip Salvador was also responsible for the success of the movie and for her bagging an award.
"Well I have to say na my leading man Echo and lalo na si Tito Ipe, grabe iyong support na binigay nila sa akin sa lahat ng eksena. The way they helped me sa bawat scene, ibang klase iyong pagkasuporta nila," the actress said.
Curtis said that she will be forever thankful to Rosales and Salvador for helping her achieve her dreams of becoming a real actress by receiving her first acting award. "For them I will be forever thankful for sharing their talents to me," she said.
Fresh from success, Curtis also refused to comment if there would be negative criticism that would say that she did not deserve the award. "Well I think everyone naman has their own right and opinion so I just leave it to that na lang. Everyone has the right naman to say whatever they want," the actress explains.
The actress also shared her happiness that the movie is doing well in terms of total gross sales. Once again, Curtis invited the public to find time and watch her first epic movie "Baler." "I really just hope na patuloy niyong suportahan ang Baler," Curtis ended.

Anne Curtis on being Best Actress: It feels surreal
Actress Anne Curtis said that she still cannot believe that she received her first acting award from the 34th Metro Manila Film Festival for her movie "Baler" with actor Jericho Rosales.
"Pakiramdam ko hanggang ngayon sobrang surreal pa din, hindi ako makapaniwala. Kasi first time ko talaga to get an acting award so sobrang saya ko lang na hindi ko ma-explain," Curtis said.
The actress said that she just went to the awards nights to support their movie.
"Hindi ko talaga ini-expect. Nagulat ako pagtawag sa akin," she added.
Curtis said that while doing the movie she gave her best not because she was after an award.
The actress explained that in all that she does, she gives everything to make her project the best.
"Basta ako kapag gumagawa ako ng movie or eksena binibigay ko na lang yung best ko based on what I can do and what I can give para sa pelikula. Hindi ko iniisip na 'naku pang-award ito,' hindi talaga," the Best Actress awardee said.
In terms of accepting new roles and projects, Curtis said that she is still open and willing to do projects that will really fit her.
"I don't think na it should change anything. Kasi ako as an actress lagi kong tinatanggap yung mga role na hindi safe or alam kong makakadagdag sa growth ko pagdating sa acting. So hindi naman ako mamimilli ng mga roles ko just because I have an award. I mean acting is still an art for me," Curtis said.
Curtis has been in the showbiz industry for almost 11 years. She said that she dedicates her first acting trophy to her family who are always there to support her and her career.
"Alam ko madami din ang na-sacrifice nila para matupad lang ang dream ko to be an actress. So I dedicate it to them- sa mommy ko at daddy ko," she said.
Curtis said that after receiving the greatest gift this Christmas- her acting award- she is going to continue doing her job.
"Ako I'm just gonna continue to do my best and do what I love the most and just go for it. Just keep on acting," she said.
Curtis confirmed that her ex-sweetheart actor Sam Milby congratulated her for winning an award.
