TheBundesliga is the dominating league at Euro 2008: 55 Bundesliga playerswere called up into the 16 final squads of 23 players each for thetournament.
TheBundesliga is well ahead of the English Premier League (42 players) insecond place just as it had been at the 2006 World Cup, the SpanishPrimera Division is third with 41 players.
"This is a proof ofquality for the Bundesliga", League President Dr. Reinhard Rauball. DFLChief Executive Officer for Competition Holger Hieronymus adds: "Thesefigures prove that the Bundesliga is in good odour across all borders.We are delighted about this appreciation and hope that the Bundesligaplayers will call attention to themselves at the Euro. |
