Actually aku dah baca pendapat2 ahli2 di satu forum. Beyonce sbenanya menerima stiff competition daripada artis2 nie:

Eminem
Usher
Alicia Keys
Jay-Z

Very close fight. Tak mcm Mariah last decade yg terang2 boleh kalahkan semua artis lain dari segi album sales, number of hit singles.. paling2 pun yg boleh cabar ialah Janet Jackson.

Billboard's Artists Of The Year 2009

1.Taylor Swift

To say Taylor Swift had a remarkable year would be a comic understatement. She sold more albums than any artist not named Michael Jackson. Her first headlining tour, Fearless 2009, sold out every show within minutes. She became the youngest woman to win the Country Music Assn.'s entertainer of the year award, and she set seemingly every chart record that exists. But most important, she proved herself a graceful, timeless celebrity, handling hosting duties on "Saturday Night Live" and a rampaging Kanye West at the MTV Video Music Awards with equal aplomb.

2. Beyonce

As Kanye West infamously pointed out at the 2009 VMAs, Beyonce made one of the best videos of all-time. "Out of all my videos, ("Single Ladies") was the least expensive and took the least amount of time, and it ended up being the most iconic," Billboard's 2009 Woman of the Year reflects. "But once we got on the set, it was like, wait a minute. This is something special." Not only did the ubiquitous clip inspire thousands of YouTube imitations, it also helped push her "I Am... Sasha Fierce" album to last over a year on the Billboard 200 chart.

3. Lady GaGa

The chart-topping hit-maker and headline-grabbing fashionista from Yonkers, NY became the first artist ever to send her first four singles to No. 1 on the Billboard Pop Songs chart. What's her secret? "A hit record writes itself," said the winner of the 2009 Billboard Rising Star award. "If you have to wait, maybe the song isn't there. Once you tap into the soul, the song begins to write itself. And I usually write the choruses first, because without a good chorus, who really gives a f**k?"

4. Black Eyed Peas
5. Miley Cyrus
6. Kanye West
7. Britney Spears
8. TI
9. Nickelback
10. Pink
11. Kings Of Leon
12. Katy Perry
13. Flo Rida
14. Kelly Clarkson
15. Jason Mraz
16. The Fray
17. Ne-Yo
18. Lil Wayne
19. Rascal Flatts
20. Zac Brown band

About.com: Top 100 pop songs of the decade
beyonce antara salah satu artist yang mempunyai 6 lagu kat Top 100..bravo..!

85. Beyoncé - "Sweet Dreams" (2009)
76. Beyoncé - "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)" (2008) (patut in Top 10..)
50. Destiny's Child - "Say My Name" (2000)
42. Beyoncé - "Naughty Girl" (2004)
26. Beyoncé featuring Jay-Z - "Crazy In Love" (2003) (ni pun patut Top 10..)
19. Beyoncé - "Irreplaceable" (2006)
An element that makes Beyoncé's"Irreplaceable" resonate deeper after hearing it multiple times is that the subject matter of female strength and independence is at the core of her entire B'Day album that features the song. "Irreplaceable" will remind many listeners of concepts central to Terry McMillan's Waiting to Exhale which remains a cultural touchstone over 15 years after its release.

patutnya 'crazy in love' dan 'single ladies' in Top 10 or at least top 20 sama macam 'Irreplaceable'..tapi apa apa pun at least bee ada kat these list kan, 6 kali pulak tu..

NPR's 50 Most Important Recordings of the Decade

01. John Adams: On The Transmigration Of Souls
02. Animal Collective: Merriweather Post Pavilion
03. The Arcade Fire: Funeral
04. The Bad Plus: These Are The Vistas

05. Beyoncé: Dangerously In Love (saya prefer BDay atau IASF tapi glad it made the list..!)
Once upon a time in 2003, three young women from the successful pop group Destiny's Child were exploring their separate musical paths. Michele Williams released a successful gospel album, Kelly Rowland was at the top of the charts with "Dilemma" (a duet with Nelly) and Beyonce Knowles... well, everyone knows what happens next in this story: an explosive Chi-Lites horn sample and a commandingly coquettish vocal spouting, "Uh oh uh oh uh oh." The introduction to "Crazy in Love," the lead single from Dangerously in Love, provides one of the greatest 30-second bites of music this decade, and announces a standout artist. Whereas Destiny's Child's songs were about poised and sensible women, this was Beyonce's opportunity to explore emotional messiness. Dangerously in Love doesn't go too far; Beyonce is simultaneously transgressive and traditional in her sound and lyrics. But it was a hell of a start, and she didn't stop there. -- Amy Schriefer

06. Bon Iver: For Emma, Forever Ago
07. Bright Eyes: I’m Wide Awake, It’s Morning
08. Burial: Untrue
09. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah: S/T
10. Kelly Clarkson: Breakaway
11. Coldplay: A Rush Of Blood To The Head
12. Danger Mouse: The Grey Album
13. Death Cab For Cutie: Transatlanticism
14. The Decemberists: The Crane Wife
15. Eminem: The Marshall Mathers LP
16. The Flaming Lips: Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots
17. Osvaldo Golijov: La Pasión Segun San Marcos (Saint Mark’s Passion)
18. Green Day: American Idiot
19. Iron And Wine: Our Endless Numbered Days
20. Jay-Z: The Blueprint
.

39. Britney Spears: In The Zone

---------------
Decade’s best albums by Associated Press

The first decade of the new millennium produced some amazing albums, CDs that should go down with the best works of art. You might not find those albums on this list — which doesn’t mean this list isn’t the best of the decade.

But for an album to make the cut, it had to be more than just something to appreciate and put on a shelf. It had to be something you couldn’t live without, that you had on your go-to playlist, that you listened to not just the year it came out … but in the years since.

Best albums of the decade:

1. “Denials, Delusions and Decisions,” Jaguar Wright
2. “Confessions,” Usher
3. “Mama’s Gun,” Erykah Badu
4. “The College Dropout,” Kanye West
5. “Back to Black,” Amy Winehouse
6. “Get Rich or Die Tryin”‘ 50 Cent

7. “B’day,” Beyonce: Beyonce could have chosen to make “Dangerously in Love 2″ for her sophomore debut. Instead, she took a musical risk by trying out different sonic styles, from the futuristic funk of “Green Light” to the acoustic brilliance of “Irreplaceable.” With “B’day” Beyonce established herself not only as this decade’s most important hitmaker, but also established her artistic heft.

8. “Testimony: Vol 1. Life and Relationship,” India.Arie
9. “The Chocolate Factory,” R. Kelly
10. “The Marshall Mathers LP,” Eminem

Honorable mentions: “The Black Album,” Jay-Z; “Dreaming Wide Awake,” Lizz Wright; “The Emancipation of Mimi,” Mariah Carey; “Survivor,” Destiny’s Child; “Taking the Long Way,” the Dixie Chicks; “FutureSexLoveSounds,” Justin Timberlake; “Graduation,” Kanye West; “Vespertine,” Bjork; “Arular,” M.I.A.; “Elephant,” The White Stripes; “Acoustic Soul,” India.Arie; “Van Hunt,” Van Hunt; “Late Registration,” Kanye West; “Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds, Vol. 1,” Jill Scott; “American Idiot,” Green Day; “Lovers Rock,” Sade; “The Breakthrough,” Mary J. Blige.

NPR - The Decade In Music: Beyonce's 'Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)' (2009)

"SINGLE LADIES" - 2009.. BACA KAT BAWAH..! amazing..

November 20, 2009 - [Every weekday from Nov. 9 to Nov. 20, Song of the Day is surveying the past decade, one year (and one song) at a time, with an emphasis on America's most popular music. These picks don't exactly qualify as musical discoveries, but they do have something to say about the 10 years we're about to leave behind. Song of the Day will return to new music on Monday, Nov. 23. —ed.]

Sure, Beyonce's "Single Ladies" actually came out in 2008. But, since we don't have numbers on this year yet, it's fair to argue that it's the jam of 2009. (Though, admittedly, some would argue that it's neck-and-neck with Miley Cyrus' "Party in the U.S.A.") Beyonce has given us, finally, a dance craze that requires little more than the deployment of jazz hands with a wrist twist, thus inspiring countless episodes of behind-the-wheel above-the-waist breakdowns and an unfortunate number of full-body dance-floor takeovers. Not least because she had one of the best videos of all time.

In "Single Ladies," Beyonce sounds like a total pro: contained, on-message. Aside from the bass drum, the perfectly mussed hand-claps and the Phantom of the Opera organ way in the back row, all the extras that give the song its depth and creeping discomfort could have been jacked from Need for Speed if the cars were mounted with lasers (stop lying; you post up at ESPN Zone too sometimes). Everything about it feels calculated, but the disheveled, breathless mess that results from putting "Single Ladies" on in earshot of a group of happy people — regardless of marital status or gender — proves that something is going on underneath the surface.

It could be the meta cognitive dissonance between the lyrics and the facts of life. After all, we know that he did put a ring on it. Jay-Z locked it down! Which Beyonce makes clear in the video: That ring is definitely on her finger (though she does look a little shocked to see it around 1:55). So there's hope for the rest of us? And there's that intermittent but ominous grinding at the low end of the song, which only make it more obvious that Beyonce's vocals, layered though they might be, are the only thing holding the song together. She barrels through it.

Not only did "Single Ladies" cement the reign of The-Dream and Tricky Stewart as the premier pop songwriters and producers of the late 2000s (later on, Scott Storch), it also allowed Beyonce to stake a claim to the title Queen of Pop (TM). One thing's for sure: She brings the ladies to the dance floor, which brings the boys to the club, which brings the dollars to the pockets that matter. Viva la reina.

2. Beyonce
The 00's have been kind to Beyonce, to say the least. While Destiny's Child was awesome, going solo was the best thing that could have happened to her. Seriously, she's so famous she doesn't even need that last name. Beyonce has proven she knows how to do a dance hit (see: Crazy in Love, Deja Vu, Single Ladies) as well as a ballad (see: Listen, If I Were A Boy), and she does them equally well. She also knows how to put on a show -- her costumes and choreography never disappoint.

Rollingstone - Best 100 Songs of the Decade (critics choice).

60. “Irreplaceable”
That acoustic guitar surge, courtesy of songwriter Ne-Yo, gives Miss B the courage to throw a no-good boyfriend out of the house. Yet another reason to love Beyoncé: at 13 letters, this was the longest one-word song title ever to hit Number One, breaking the 12-letter record set by “Superstition.”

50. “Single Ladies”
With a helping hand from The-Dream and Tricky Stewart, Beyoncé issued her definitive statement for ladies stuck in limbo with a dude who can’t commit. The swinging beat was irresistible, the video was jiggletastic, and the message was clear: Get it together, fellas.

3. “Crazy in Love”
The horns weren’t a hook. They were a herald: Pop’s new queen had arrived. Beyoncé’s debut solo smash, powered by that sampled Chi-Lites brass blast, announced her liberation from Destiny’s Child and established her MO: She’d best the competition by doing everything sassier, bigger, crazier.

#4 - Beyoncé [ft. Jay-Z]
"Crazy in Love"

If someone told you that the sheet music for "Crazy in Love" was just a lot of exclamation points on a staff, you would believe them, right? From its first moments on til the end, its enormous beats and blaring fanfare pummel everything its path like a brutal force of nature, leaving us all with a clear choice to either turn away or submit to its indomitable power. It's fitting that this sound would be the basis of Beyoncé Knowles breakthrough hit, as it is the ideal showcase for the singer's forthright persona and her gift for vocal performances that manage an improbable balance of poised professionalism and feral emoting.

Amazingly, "Crazy in Love" isn't even Knowles at full blast-- she comes much harder on later hits such as "Get Me Bodied" and "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)"-- but the sheer force of her presence is enough to overshadow a strong cameo appearance by the freakishly charismatic Jay-Z and nearly erase the memory of her former bandmates in Destiny's Child. She was no stranger to stardom before "Crazy In Love," but after its blockbuster success, there was no question that Beyoncé had arrived as the definitive female R&B singer of her era, and had become the clear successor to a lineage of superstars including Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, Donna Summer, and Diana Ross. --Matthew Perpetua

speaking of 'i am yours' show, heres professional critic of it..

Pop Top: Beyonce launches best concert film of the year
The Salt Lake Tribune

Grade: A-

CD/DVD » Beyonce's new concert DVD and 2-CD set "I Am ... Yours: An Intimate Performance at Wynn Las Vegas" is the best live concert film of the year, a holiday present to watch and to listen to. Instead of a traditional retread of her hits, she narrates and emotionally sings her way through a souful musical journey that takes her from her first audition song to the mega-hits she unleashed this past year. In between are a medley of Destiny's Child songs, a duet with husband Jay-Z, jazz scatting, and even Alanis Morissette's "You Oughta Know" tacked on to the end of "If I Were a Boy," along with the stories behind them. This is a thrilling tour de force.
