Adriano Will Return To Inter After Easter - Report

Inter striker Adriano is now scheduled to return to the club next week, according to ANSA.

The player's agent, Gilmar Rinaldi, has contacted the Nerazzurri and told them that the Brazilian hitman will come back to Italy after Easter.

The 27-year-old was supposed to return following international duty with Brazil, but was not on the return flight following the Selecao's 3-0 win over Peru.

The former Flamengo player then went missing for a period of time before a statement by both his agent and the Brazilian Football Federation confirmed the player was with his family, but was going through a 'difficult time'.

It remains to be seen how coach Jose Mourinho, president Massimo Moratti, and the rest of the club will deal with the Brazilian international upon his return. Many sources have speculated this will be his last season with the Serie A giants.

Inter Striker Adriano's Depression Caused By Former Girlfriend - Report

Inter hitman Adriano went missing after he failed to return to his club Inter from international duty. The striker opted to remain in Brazil and it was reported yesterday by his agent that he is now with family, but will be in Brazil for an indefinite period of time.

According to Terra Esportes, friends of the Inter striker have suggested his break-up with former girlfriend Joana Machado could be the cause of his erratic behaviour.

The 27-year-old's family apparently asked his former flame to come visit the striker to help change his mood, but she refused.

Many rumours have circulated over the past 48 hours including that Adriano attempted suicide and was seen partying in the slums where he grew up.

Earlier on Monday, the Brazilian Football Federation released a statement claiming that the striker is going through a "difficult time". In any case, it seems likely that Adriano will not be a part of the Nerazzurri squad for much longer.

After Inter coach Jose Mourinho made an appearance on the Italian TV show Chiambretti Night and made a number of jibes and attacks to rival clubs and coaches, his predecessor Roberto Mancini did exactly the same.

One of the things Mourinho did was complain that at the Appiano Gentile training center there isn't an office for the coach. In reaction to that, Mancini said, "Me and my collaborators prefer working on the pitch, not in an office.

"You teach players things on the pitch, not in an office. And there was an office anyway. Now there's a new law that allows to build 30 per cent more, so who knows how big my office could have been..."

He then inevitably took a stab at the club who sacked him last summer after he led the team to three consecutive Scudetti.
"It's true, I was the first coach to make an Italian team play with an entirely foreign formation, and then I, being the only Italian, became too much," he continued..

Inter Captain Zanetti Preparing For 'Great Challenge' Against Juventus

The Nerazzurri captain is hoping his side can gain even more of an advantage by winning the Derby d'Italia against the Bianconeri on Saturday...

Inter stalwart Javier Zanetti is pleased his side have a ten point advantage over Juventus in the race for the Scudetto and is confident that his club will play well against the Turin-based outfit this weekend.

"The match against Juventus will be a great challenge for everyone involved, not just for us, but for Juve as well," the Argentine international suggested, according to Calciomercato.

Many feel that the Beneamata have already wrapped up the league title, but a positive result at the Stadio Olimpico would cement their position at the top of the table even further.

"It is an important match in the history of the club and comes at a key moment in the season. We are preparing well and hope to perform in the best possible way," concluded Zanetti.

The 35-year-old has been an ever present force in the line-up once again this season, making 40 appearances for the club in all competitions.

I Want To Play For Milan Or Inter - Liverpool Star Fernando Torres

Liverpool striker Fernando Torres revealed he wants to play in Serie A after already showing his skills in La Liga and the Premier League

Spain and Liverpool star Fernando Torres is considered one of the best strikers in the world as he finished third behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in the battle for last year's Ballon d'Or.

He has also been a dream target for many top-drawer Italian clubs, with Milan in particular being hot on his heels before he joined Liverpool from Atletico Madrid. However, if the player's latest claims are anything to go by, this dream could soon become a reality.

"I have already played in La Liga and the Premier League," he said to Spanish magazine Don Balon. "Now it would be nice to try Serie A, perhaps in a club like Milan or Inter. It would be nice to be able to say one day that I managed to play in the three most important leagues, and perhaps I will also try the Bundesliga."

However, the 25-year-old has no intention of leaving Anfield anytime soon.

"I am very happy at Liverpool and I still have a contract for four years," he added. "I am treated very well and I want to repay them by winning the Premier League title, which they have been waiting for a long time here."

Juventus welcomed Inter to the Stadio Olimpico of Turin tonight in a final attempt to keep the Scudetto race somewhat alive, with the Nerazzurri ten points ahead. Claudio Ranieri’s side played in a 4-4-2 formation with captain Alessandro Del Piero and Vincenzo Iaquinta in attack, while Inter played in an unusual 4-1-4-1 with Luis Figo, Dejan Stankovic, Sulley Muntari, and Mario Balotelli behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

First Half

The match was lively from the start, with both sides looking dangerous going forward. The first big chance was for the visitors in the 10th minute, when Balotelli went past Nicola Legrottaglie and fired a shot on goal that was deflected by Gianluigi Buffon, but the ball was still heading toward the back of the net before Tiago made a great last-second clearence.

In the 23rd minute, there was an interesting shot by Inter defender Walter Samuel from the edge of the area that went just wide of the post.

Five minutes later, the Argentinean defender was called into action as Pavel Nedved found Iaquinta in the area with a long pass, which he managed to intercept and clear for a corner.

A huge chance came for the home side on the half-hour mark, as Del Piero played the ball to Marco Marchionni, who went past Christian Chivu and found himself alone in front of Julio Cesar, but he couldn’t beat the Inter keeper with his cheeky lob.

Inter responded in the 34th minute, when Stankovic went for goal with a powerful shot from the edge of the area on an assist by Balotelli, but it was off target.

The visitors threatened again three minutes later, as Ibrahimovic played it forward to Figo, who dribbled his way past Legrottaglie and Christian Molinaro, but he couldn’t get it past Buffon who did well to come out and grab the ball.

That was the last chance of a lively first half, which finished on a 0-0 score that reflected the proceedings up until that point.

Second Half

The second half started with the same players as in the first half.

The first chance of the second half was for Stankovic, who tried another one of his long distance efforts, which was once again neutralised by a confident Buffon in the 50th minute.

Inter looked more convincing at this stage of the match, and Ibrahimovic came close to opening the scoring in the 57th minute with a header from inside the area on a cross by Balotelli, which was well saved by Buffon.

On the hour mark, Chivu sent in a dangerous cross toward the far post aimed for Muntari, who came slightly too late to tap the ball in.

On their next chance, however, Inter were more clinical and they opened the score. In the 64th minute, Muntari crossed the ball in for Balotelli on a counterattack, and the youngster fired a clinical diagonal shot that beat Buffon to make it 1-0 Inter.

The Nerazzurri were in complete control after this, although Julio Cesar had to come out well in the 70th minute to a shot by Marchionni, who did well to penetrate into the area to reach a pass from the right by Iaquinta.

A turning-point in the match came in the 76th minute, when Tiago was handed a straight red card for a couple of harsh fouls on Muntari and Balotelli, leaving Juve depleted with ten men.

This made things even easier for the visitors, and they came close to doubling the score in the 79th minute with Stankovic, who forced Buffon into another good save with a shot from the edge of the area.

In the last minutes of the match, Inter seemed to be well in control and passed the ball around comfortably. In the 88th minute, they had another chance to score as substitute Julio Cruz fired another shot from distance from a nice pass by Ibrahimovic, but once again Buffon was alert and deflected the ball away.

However, just when it all seemed lost for Juve, Zdenek Grygera managed to find an equaliser in injury time, heading in a corner kick by substitute Sebastian Giovinco after being left unmarked by Inter’s defence. It was the 91st minute.

There were no further chances in the remaining minutes of injury time. Inter wasted this opportunity to completely wrap up the Scudetto race, but they are still 10 points clear of Juve with just six games to go now.

Report: Inter To Terminate Adriano’s Contract Today

Troubled Brazilian international Adriano could sever his ties with Serie A champions Inter today, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Only small details need to be sorted out but everything should be completed by the end of the day. The parties have allegedly agreed a mutual rescission and no clauses will be included.

But it is suggested that a gentleman’s agreement will ensure that the striker does not join other top European sides in the short-term.

The deal was brokered by the player’s representative, Gilmar Rinaldi, who flew to Italy last week and met with Inter directors at the Via Durini headquarters.

Adriano had failed to return to Milan from international duty earlier this month and went missing for several days, not even answering calls from his mother or agent.

The 27-year-old landed in the peninsula in 2001 and has made over 100 appearances in the Nerazzurri shirt. He has also had spells with Fiorentina and Parma.

well aku tak paham kenapa ada rumah baru ni?kenapa tak stick ngan thread lama je?:re:

whatever..skang ni secara rasminya 100% inter dah jadi chempiyang serie A buat kali ke 17 dan juga buat kali ke-4 berturut-turut..great..forza inter!

tapi menang scudetto skang ni mcm dah tak berapa best sebab fans milan, juve, and roma tak abis2 pertikaikan pasal calciopoli..duhh,get over it..so kalaulah inter menang scudetto berturut-turut untuk 18 season seterusnya, nak ungkit pasal calciopoli lagi ke masa tu?

tahniah mourinho dan skuad beliau..next season pls win the CL..

Inter Squad & Jose Mourinho Celebrate Scudetto Victory

Inter tonight became champions of Italy for the fourth season in succession after Milan lost 2-1 at Udinese.

The Nerazzurri squad have already begun the celebrations, partying wildly outside the sports centre at La Pinetina, where they had gathered to watch their city rivals play on television.

Most of the Inter squad were present. Jose Mourinho was jumping up and down along with Giuseppe Baresi and the Inter management team when the final whistle at the Stadio Friuli was sounded.

President Massimo Moratti clenched his fist and repeatedly punched the air in delight, while Marco Materazzi, Esteban Cambiasso, Amantino Mancini and Francesco Toldo were particularly wild in their celebrations.

The party is sure to go on long into the night.
