Master of the universe

The United Nations has declared 2009 International Year of Astronomy, and an exhibition in Florence, Italy, pays tribute to a man who dedicated his life to studying the sun, moon and stars.
IT is said that nothing is certain except for death and taxes, but there are few other things that we can count on for sure too. Thanks to years of astronomical exploration, we now know that the Earth and the other planets move in their own orbits round the sun, but the man who first publicly put forward that theory was convicted of heresy and forced to recant.
In the early 1600s, astronomer and physicist Galileo Galilei (1564-1642) was known as the 憫Father of Astronomy拻, and became famous for questioning Christian biblical references which stated the sun and all the planets revolved around the Earth.
Galileo supported a new theory, proposed by Nicolaus Copernicus, that the Earth and all the other planets revolved around the sun, and this got him into trouble with the Roman Catholic Church.
In 1609, Galileo had learned of the invention of an instrument that allowed the study of faraway objects and decided to make his own version which turned out to be more superior. This came to be known as the telescope and he made a series of profound discoveries using his new tool.
It was Galileo who noted and described the mountains and valleys on the surface of the moon, first made note of sunspots (magnetic spots on the surface of sun), the phases of Venus and the four largest moons of Jupiter named Io, Europa, Callisto and Ganymede |

22 julai 2009 - malaysia mungkin dapat liputan 10% jek kot .. kali neh path nyer lalu kat india-china
so .. eorang kat india-china nampak gerhana penuh/cincin aa nanti
kawasan2 yg akan nampak gerhana matahari 22 julai nanti : bahagian utara Indonesia, Singapura, Semenanjung Malaysia, hampir seluruh Sarawak & sebahagian Sabah, barat Thailand, Kemboja & Vietnam
Total Solar Eclipse of 2009 July 22
On Wednesday, 2009 July 22, a total eclipse of the Sun is visible from within a narrow corridor that traverses half of Earth. The path of the Moon's umbral shadow begins in India and crosses through Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar and China. After leaving mainland Asia, the path crosses Japan's Ryukyu Islands and curves southeast through the Pacific Ocean where the maximum duration of totality reaches 6 min 39 s.
A partial eclipse is seen within the much broader path of the Moon's penumbral shadow, which includes most of eastern Asia, Indonesia, and the Pacific Ocean.

However, for annular eclipses, the instant of greatest duration may occur at either the time of greatest eclipse or near the sunrise and sunset points of the eclipse path.

kebanyakkan org taret pergi ke china tahun ni....
malangnya tak dpt join pergi...
next...kena tgu 2015.....(ni gerhana yg amik masa yg lama jer.) |

Manusia sekarang suka sangat berlagak. Kononnya mereka tu sudah maju sangat, konon. Mentang2 mereka boleh lancarkan roket ke angkasa lepas, sudah kira maju lah itu.
Sampai negara2 yg miskin dan negara2 yg sepatutnya mengagihkan duit mereka utk kebajikan masyarakat mereka, pergi bazirkan duit utk buat projek2 spt hantar beruk (yg merupai manusia) ke angkasa lepas.
Contoh :- India dan Malaysia.
India menpunyai berjuta2 penduduknya yg hidup dlm serba kemiskinan dan kekurangan. Di setengah tempat, tak ada kemudahan awam sekali. Penyakit2 serta kebuluran serta keadaan buta huruf masih ada di India walaupun mereka merdeka 10 tahun lebih cepat dr Malaysia (1948).
Malaysia pun sama juga. Tak ada sebarang perancangan utk masa depan. Hantar orang semata2 utk tunjjukan slogan "Malaysia Beruk". |

keadaan ring saturn tu dalam bentuk 1 garis ....
mungkin jugak berpanjangan shingga september... |
