hello kengkwn..saya byk jumpa resepi kek yg guna buttermilk ni..mana nak dpt benda ni yea?ada jual kat bakery shops ke?cemana rupanya?

buttermilk nie kat bakery supplier ada jual..tapi dlm kuantiti yg sket sj..
biasa buttermilk nie boleh wat sendiri..
susu cair/susu UHT dicampur dgn cuka atau perahan jus limau..
itu sj..

Baru-baru nih ada nampak buttermilk dijual kat giant, kat bahagian butter, cheese. first time tu nampak dijual kat situ. packing kotak putih, mcm bekas whip cream emborg, tapi tinggi skit. brp ml tak tgk la pulak.

selalunya dijual di bahagian dairy...dalam kotak mcm susu.

kalau takde buttermilk, blh jugak digantikan dgn plain yoghurt

cara nak buat substitute utk buttermilk:

1 cawan susu, campur dengan satu sude besar cuka, biarkan dalam 10 minit.

saya memang selalu bake cakes yang guna buttermilk, and always use this substitute. never failed me so far.

saya selalu substitute buttermilk dgn susu biasa..tapi nak juga tau macam mana rasa kalau guna buttermilk ni..guna cuka buatan/makan tu bolh yer?

selalunya recommended guna white vinegar. saya tak sure cuka buatan tu termasuk dalam kategori white vinegar, sebab tengok rupanya, sama je. i would assume, ok je guna cuka buatan.

tapi to be safe, saya memang beli white vinegar. tak mahal pun, sebotol brand S&W tu dalam rm4 kot.

banyak resipi kek2 saya memang guna buttermilk. jadi memang tak ada masalah lah. and way cheaper too, to use substitute susu + cuka. just remember to use kadar sukatan 1 cup of milk, with 1 tablespoon of cuka.

lebih prefer kalau guna lemon juice dari cuka........ texture buttermilk macam lebih cantik.....

rasanye buttermilk, sour cream ngan yogurt ni adik-beradik, kalau takde satu, boleh ganti ngan mana-mana. Cuma kalau pekat sgt, tambah je susu bagi sama konsistensi.  Kalau nak jumpa benda pelik-pelik ni, try Cold Storage, mesti ada. tapi mungkin mahal la sikit.
