Kami mempunyai pemain profesional senior.''

Perlawanan esok bakal menyaksikan Manchester United beraksi di tempat lawan menentang pasukan baru Liga Perdana, Burnley. - AFP

Jermain Defoe fired us to the top of the Premier League with a fantastic hat-trick in a 5-1 win at Hull on Wednesday night.

The striker was in lethal form and grabbed his goals in the 10th, 45th and 94th minutes as we ran riot at the KC Stadium.

In a hugely-impressive display, JD was joined on the scoresheet by Wilson Palacios and Robbie Keane as we led 3-1 at the break. Hull did reduce the deficit after finding themselves 2-0 down, but a thumping Defoe finish shortly before half-time and Keane's second half header finished the job off in some style.

Keane bundled the ball into the net during the opening exchanges, but Aaron Lennon was in an offside position before crossing low from the right, before Defoe floated narrowly over from 20 yards moments later with keeper Boaz Myhill off his line.

In the 10th minute, following sustained and threatening possession, Tom Huddlestone gathered in midfield and, with trademark accuracy, he picked out Defoe, who switched from right to left before dispatching a low and powerful drive past Myhill.

Four minutes later a slick combination between Defoe and Keane resulted in Palacios being located in a similar position to Defoe earlier and the end result was the same. A pinpoint finish into the bottom corner. Advantage doubled.

The downside, while this was going on, was an injury to Heurelho Gomes who appeared to sustain an injury in the process of punching the ball clear ahead of the goalscoring move. The Brazilian was helped from the field and replaced by Carlo Cudicini.

Hull made what was probably a tactical change after just 22 minutes, taking off striker Daniel Cousin and replacing him with Geovanni. The deficit was quickly reduced.

A deep inswinging Stephen Hunt free-kick from the right cleared the heads of everyone, took one bounce and landed in the net.

Hull were lifted by such a stroke of good fortune and the home crowd found their collective voice. Caleb Folan found the net but was penalised following an edge of the area tangle with Sebastien Bassong and it seemed to be a case of getting through to half-time after being in such a commanding position.

Defoe did have a good chance to add to his tally six minutes before the break when Lennon sped down the flank and zipped in a supply that the striker struck first time, but unfortunately wide.

He did get a second on 43 minutes when Alan Hutton - who was putting in an impressive shift at right back - pinged the ball in the direction of Keane. The skipper sold a dummy and it was Defoe-time - the little hitman spinning his marker Michael Turner before advancing and smashing high past Myhill to restore the two-goal advantage.

The speedy, incisive passing continued into the second half, with Luka Modric and Lennon becoming increasingly influential from the wide positions. It was just the final ball that de-railed several really promising passages of possession.

Hull were not able to build up a head of steam, efforts at picking up momentum were stifled by clever football played with tenacity and speed.

Cudicini was called on to athletically tip over the bar in the 71st minute from a looping Geovanni header, then Defoe could well have had his hat-trick shot after forging a path through the home defences but opted for another touch. Lennon's cross could have opened the near post gate for the striker but a home boot managed to steal in first.

A richly deserved gloss was put on the scoreline after 78 minutes when Keane set Lennon scampering down the right and then nipped into the near post area to glide a header across Myhill and into the net. A superbly worked move.

Keane was then replaced by Peter Crouch, who was quickly working Myhill with a header from a Lennon cross.

The last word rightly went to Defoe as the clock ticked deep into injury time. He played the ball into Lennon, who held it up and touched it back to unleash a powerhouse drive into the top corner. Job emphatically done.

De Foe hatrick....:pompom:

Terrific exhibition - HarryHarry Redknapp couldn't speak highly enough of the performance as he assessed the fantastic 5-1 win at Hull on Wednesday night.

Jermain Defoe led the way with a hat-trick, scoring twice in the first half as we led 3-1 at the interval.

The striker completed his treble in injury time with Wilson Palacios - his first in the Premier League - and Robbie Keane also on target.

The victory took us to the top of the table on goal difference after two matches as we followed up Sunday's win against Liverpool.

"We looked dangerous every time we had the ball," said Harry at the KC Stadium.

"The movement, passing, the pace - I played with four forwards and we really took it to them.

"We hit them with pace and skill - we were difficult to live with.

"Defoe looked absolutely electric and he's so sharp but it wasn't just about him, Robbie Keane was excellent and the movement in midfield, the lads in there kept rotating and popping up in areas that made it difficult for Hull.

"The way we kept the ball and passed it was fantastic.

"We started well against Liverpool but I think this was even better, our general play was top class."

pasnih negro defoe jadi 1st eleven choice utk england team..

mo7 bungkus... 1v1 pun fail.. gi blajo ngan defoe nih

The Club is delighted to announce that Benoit Assou-Ekotto has signed a new contract that will see him at White Hart Lane until 2013.

The 25-year-old scored his first-ever senior goal to give us the lead against Liverpool in our opening Premier League fixture last weekend, Benoit's 64th appearance in our colours.

The Cameroon international, who was voted the Club's Most Improved Player of the Season in the last campaign by our supporters, played 73 times for Lens before joining us in June 2006.
