Winner semi-final 1 v Winner semi-final 2
Roberto di Matteo's Chelsea became the first team to reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup courtesy of a comfortable victory at home against Leicester.
The Blues took an early lead when Gary Cahill rose highest to head in a ball from Juan Mata, before Salomon Kalou doubled their advantage by converting Fernando Torres' cross.
Spanish striker Fernando Torres slotted in after a Raul Meireles pass to make it 3-0, before Jermaine Beckford smashed in a loose ball from a rebound for Championship side Leicester.
A late flurry of goals continued when Torres flicked in a header, and after Leicester's Ben Marshall drove in from outside the box to make it 4-2, Torres squared unselfishly for Meireles to wrap up the scoring.
Liverpool 2-1 Stoke City
Kenny Dalglish's Liverpool remain on course for a second cup final of the season after beating Stoke to reach the last four of the FA Cup.
The home side took the lead in the first half when Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez curled in from the edge of the box, but Stoke hit back straight away when Peter Crouch nodded in a corner.
Liverpool ensured their name was in the hat when winger Stewart Downing scored the winner in the second half, thumping in from 12 yards after cutting in from the right.
FA Cup semi-final draw
Tottenham/Bolton v Chelsea
Liverpool v Sunderland/Everton
Chelsea managed to get ahead through a goal by Gary Cahill in the second half but they were stunned by a spirited Manchester City fightback in the final half-hour.
Chelsea
Petr Cech - 7.5
The Czech international wasn't really to blame for Chelsea's goals but he was otherwise solid as a goalkeeper. Time and again he came out to punch the ball away or to sweep any through-balls and his kicks were often accurate, a rare commodity among goalkeepers.
Branislav Ivanovic (off 21') - 6.5
The Serbian picked up an injury and had to leave early on in the game.
Gary Cahill - 8 The former Bolton central defender was solid and confident at the back as he made many crucial headers and he actively monintored the opposing team's players lest they sneak up behind him. He provided the composure that the young David Luiz lacked and helped ensure that Chelsea's defence was suitably marshalled as he gave lthe right instrctions. His second goal in as many weeks also gave the visitors the hope of an important away victory until City's late fightback changed things.
David Luiz - 7.5 The defender played less playstation-football and more like the traditional English defender even as he did his best to go forward and try and get his name in the headlines. He was much better defensively this time around and it appears as if Cahill suits him very well as a defensive partner.
Ashley Cole - 7 The full-back did not carry out his attacking duties as he had to concentrate back in defence most of the time but his contribution up front would have been useful as Juan Mata was often a one-man crusade down the left wing.
Frank Lampard - 6 The England midfielder did not get his 150th goal with Chelsea in the match and he was otherwise largely anonymous as he carried out short passes that were unambitious in their nature.
Jon Obi Mikel - 6 He had the same problem as Lampard as his passes were often inaccurate and he was never able to help in the final third of the pitch making it seem as if City had an extra player when up in attack!
Ramires - 6 He managed to get to the byline a number of times but when he got there, he was as confused as a substitute usually is when thrown into an unfamiliar position. With Kalou on the bench and Malouda as another option, why does the Brazilian get the nod down the wings? That's a question only his manager knows the answer to.
Juan Mata - 7.5 It was a bit disappointing to note that despite all his hard work in maintaining some semblance of a Chelsea attack, his team-mates were not as diligent with their efforts. Mata dribbled well and ensured that he earned his match-wage for the day but he should have relied less on Torres and tried to work more often with the other players that are capable of keeping the ball for a longer duration.
Raul Meireles (off 59') - 6 The Portuguese was especially poor as he very rarely got himself inside the penalty box. His shots were all taken from distance and the biggest letdown was his lethargy as he rarely tracked the City players and so perhaps Michael Essien should have started instead of him.
Fernando Torres (off 73') - 7 This was a markedly improved performance in the Premier League by the Spaniard who even worked hard to come back in defence and assist the team when they were being bombarded by a hungry City frontline. He showed glimpses of his ability as he managed to dribble with intent towards goal and helped create opportunities for Mata and Lampard. He never really threatened the goal, however.
Subs
Jose Bosingwa (on 21') - 5.5 The right-back was Chelsea's worst player on the night as he kept losing track of his marker and despite being able to dummy Clichy and send the defender the wrong way, he was completely clueless on how to cross the ball and make the opportunity count. He definitely needs more tactical training and he needs to make sure that he contributes more in defence as well Nasri was able to run rings around him.
Michael Essien (on 59') - 6.5 He was brought in to add defensive steel to the midfield in hopes of preserving their slender one-goal lead but instead he committed the handball that allowed City to get back into the game.
Didier Drogba (on 73') - 6.5 Drogba wasn't able to get into the right positions in order to really threaten Hart's goal and with Chelsea surrendering the lead and then going behind, it was all the more important for the Ivorian to make an impact despite the brief window of time afforded to him.
