Story :
"Mafia II is a gritty drama which chronicles the rise of World War II veteran Vito Scaletta, the son of Sicilian immigrants. As the game progresses, Vito will join the Falcone Crime Family and become a made man.
The story begins with the player character Vito returning home on leave from World War II. Vito had joined the U.S. military as a way of avoiding jail time for a botched robbery. He then discovers that his father died and left his family $2000 in debt. Vito reunites with his old friend, Joe Barbaro, and the two quickly embark upon a life of crime. Their criminal ascension starts with Mikey, a car mechanic who gets in a conflict with Joe. Mikey also needs a certain type of car to chop for parts, and will pay $400 for one that the police are not tailing. Soon enough, Vito, Joe, and Henry Tomasino (already a made man in the Clemente family) find themselves battling with, for, against, and around three crime factions: the Falcone, Vinci and Clemente families. The player is later introduced to Eddie Scarpa (a capo in the Falcone crime family).[13] Another character is Marty, a young, novice getaway driver who takes Vito and Joe to the Empire Arms hotel in the mission "Room Service" involving the assassination of the Clemente family's don.
The game will contain two hours of in-game cutscenes. The original game, Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven, had a screenplay of 400 pages, opposed to the 700 pages of the sequel. Daniel Vávra, the writer and director of the original and the sequel, discussed the new angle of the game stating: "The old game was a tribute to gangster films, a romantic vision. Mafia II is grittier, real, a darker world, and the effects are based in reality." Official PlayStation Magazine states: "A high body count is still promised in this tale set in a fictional city 'inspired by' New York of the 1940s and '50s, but those casualties will come the hard way — through small-scale operations rather than mass firefights." -from wiki

mana taknye...this is a sand-box kinda game so you would've expect the requirements(especially processor) to be high...
aku nye core 2 duo 2.4 gig pun baru reach minimum requirements dia..

aku dah main sikit game ni kat 360 and so far i'm liking it alot.aku suke environment 1950ish yang ditonjolkan dalam game ni dari segi lagu dan environment bandar dia,macam berade kat era tu je.aku main sikit je 360 punye sebab nak reserve main pc version punye.Btw,game ni pon dah jadik style gta jugak lebey kurang.Yang proper pc release baru je keluar hari ni done by skidrow.Yang tak proper/non scene punye dah keluar 2 hari lepas tapi cara install dia agak rumit.Aku baru tengah donlod game ni pagi tadi and malam nanti aku test.
ok update,aku dapat main game ni at smooth >60fps most of the times at 1920x1080 res at max settings(minus aa and some physx clothes tweak).Graphic memang cun gile and it's very demanding on hardware.So far the story is interesting enough,just like mafia 1 where you slowly progresses from nobody to somebody.Overall it feels the same as mafia 1,didn't get it why some reviewers rate it so low.ms rosy palm and her five sisters podewin

Spec pc aku core i5 750,gtx470,4gb ddr3 running on win7 x64 ultimate.Physx memang nampak lawa efek dia tapi it kills performance pada hardware yang tak boley handle.aku setting physx to high tapi aku mod sikit game tu supaye dia run lagi at higher fps melalui this article
aku cume remove clothing effects je pada npc characters and retain other effects and performance improvement dia memang nampak jauh beza.kalau time heavy shooting scenes yang ade banyak particle effects(kayu batu pecah,asap) memang ade slowdown la,tapi efects dia nampak cantik.aku tak pasti pasal ATI punye gc,tapi kalau tak silap aku dia boley support physx ngan modified drivers,tapi still need an nvidia card as secondary gc.
yup, teknologi physx ni ada pd gc nvdia ja, macm cuda gak.. kalau ati mmg jadi lag teruk, kena off dulu physx.. tapi dah kureng smart la bila main kalau xda physx..

ending dia agak tergantung dan buat kite tak puas hati dan memungkinkan adenye mafia 3 nanti.vito musti balas dendam and tak tau ape jadik pade kawan baik dia tu.camtulah kehidupan dunia mafia,penuh racun,family becomes enemy,enemy becomes friend and so on.Part yang diaorang pi bunuh hero mafia 1 tu memang nostalgik siot,brilliant scene.
Should be just ok judging from the youtube videos running the game with the same gc but different cpu.Shouldn't matter much as i3 cpu is also good enough.Your planned purchase now stands at 1.5k,still have a lot of room for improvement within 2k limit

Lagi satu,kalau kau suke tengok physx effects,kau kene beli kad from nvidia brand.Physx ni dia kasi effects macam particles,smokes,clothing lebih lifelike.You could see the difference of the physx effects for this game from youtube.Tapi imho,it doesn't look that much different actually.But it still good to have the extra effects especially the particle,debris,explosion effects in shooting scenes.
Aku run game ni kat my second pc yang pakai c2d e6750,gtx 260+,4gb ddr3,audigy 2 zs at 1440x900 res with all settings max(except for aa and physx medium) and tweaked clothing effects averaging at 28fps most of the times.With the same setting but with physx off is averaging at 50fps most of the times.The ati 5670 tu is stands in between gtx9800 and gtx260+ so you'll get the idea on how it will perform.Btw,using an addon sound card rather than the built in ones helps to improve the framerate.

yup i agree...i kat chapter yang kena kumpul duit tuhh(curi barang/jual kereta)...so far i'm loving everything about the game(*cough* and some other stuff )...the graphics memang cun/gojes cuma this game REALLY uses up alot of CPU power man....still the good outweighs the bad...the game deserves at least a 8/10 from me....
