PTDI Segera Ekspor 4 Unit CN235 ke Nigeria, Pasar Baru di Afrika
PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) sedang dalam proses perolehan kontrak pengadaan pesawat multiguna baru CN235-220 sebanyak 4 unit dengan Allied Aeronautics Limited (AAL), perusahaan lokal di Nigeria untuk pengguna akhir Angkatan Darat.
Direktur Utama PTDI Gita Amperiawan menyampaikan sejauh ini PTDI telah mengirimkan sebanyak 70 unit berbagai seri pesawat CN235 ke banyak konsumen, baik domestik maupun global. Dari jumlahnya, sebanyak 5 unit tersebar di benua Afrika, meliputi Senegal, Burkina Faso, dan Guinea.
Sementara itu, ungkap Gita, pesanan baru dari Nigeria semakin menegaskan peran Indonesia sebagai mitra pertahanan yang signifikan di benua Afrika dan kemampuan dalam manufaktur pertahanan.
“Untuk pesawat CN235, ini akan menjadi pesanan ekspor pertama yang diperoleh PTDI pada tahun 2024, sekaligus memperluas pasar di wilayah Afrika dan membuka jejak baru di Nigeria,” melalui keterangan resmi, Rabu (21/2/2024).
Menurutnya, ekspor pesawat CN235-220 ke benua Afrika memiliki nilai strategis bagi industri nasional karena rekam jejak pasokan pesanan ekspor dan kepuasan pelanggan luar negeri kemudian akan menjadi syarat utama dalam kegiatan tender internasional. Kontrak baru untuk Nigeria ini juga menjadi salah satu langkah strategis PTDI untuk menembus pasar negara-negara Asia Selatan dan Afrika.
Pesawat ini, jelasnya, dikembangkan secara mandiri oleh PTDI melalui kerja sama transfer teknologi dengan CASA Spanyol pada tahun 1980.
Gita memaparkan Pesawat CN235-220 memiliki sejumlah keunggulan, antara lain kemampuan lepas landas dari landasan pendek yang tidak beraspal dan berumput, dengan sistem avionik glass cockpit, autopilot, disertai ramp door dan winglet di setiap ujung sayap untuk stabilitas dan kompresi bahan bakar yang lebih baik .
Selain itu, bersamaan dengan perhelatan Singapore Airshow 2024, PTDI juga akan menyoroti peran penting dalam manufaktur dan pengembangan bisnis, memperkuat hubungan dengan pelanggan, pemasok, dan mitra, termasuk kekuatan bisnis anak usaha, dalam hal ini PT Nusantara Turbin & Propulsi (PT NTP) di bidang engineering dan turbin gas MRO dan peralatan berputar.
Acara ini juga menjadi kesempatan bagi PTDI untuk menunjukkan bagaimana ekosistem industri dirgantara yang berkelanjutan dan kontribusinya terhadap perusahaan global terus memelopori.
Pameran penerbangan terbesar di Asia, Singapore Airshow 2024 akan dibuka sepanjang tanggal 20-25 Februari 2024 di Changi Exhibition Center dan PTDI akan menampilkan beragam produk pesawatnya, produk komersial N219, serta produk perlindungan CN235 dan NC212i.
Singapore Airshow 2024: Indonesia signs for three more CN235-220 transport aircraft
State-owned aerospace company PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) has received a contract for three more CN235-220 aircraft from the country's Ministry of Defence (MoD).
The USD85 million contract was inked on 30 November 2023 and the aircraft will be delivered to the Indonesian Army's Aviation Centre in the troop transport configuration, said a representative from PTDI who spoke to Janes at Singapore Airshow 2024.
In the configuration ordered, the aircraft will be able to accommodate 49 fully equipped soldiers or up to 34 paratroopers for airborne insertion operations.
When not needed for paratrooper operations, the lateral seats in the aircraft's cabin can be raised to accommodate cargo transportation requirements or be quickly refitted for up to 18 stretchers for medical evacuation and disaster relief missions, said PTDI.
The CN235-220 has a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of 16,500 kg and can carry payloads of up to 5,200 kg. With the maximum payload, the aircraft has a range of about 414 n miles.
Powered by two General Electric CT7-9C engines driving two four-bladed Hamilton Standard HS 14 RF-21 propellers, it can reach a maximum speed of 237 kt with an economical cruise speed of 169 kt, according to further details provided by PTDI.
The first airframe under this contract is scheduled to be delivered in 2026.
Singapore Airshow 2024: PT Dirgantara secures first military order for N219
State-owned aerospace company PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) has secured its first-ever contract for the N219 twin-turboprop aircraft with a military customer.
A company representative who spoke to Janes at Singapore Airshow 2024 has confirmed that a USD68 million contract for six airframes was signed with the Indonesian Ministry of Defence (MoD) in November 2023. All six units will be delivered to the Indonesian Army.
PTDI's N219 aircraft derives its design from the Airbus Military C212 Aviocar and it was first conceived in 2007 as a multimission, short take-off and landing platform that can operate from austere runways, such as those found in the remote provinces of Indonesia.
A prototype of the aircraft was completed in 2015 and it was partly funded with grants from Indonesia's Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises. The maiden flight was achieved in 2017.

Singapura, PTDI Public Relations -- Pada Singapore Airshow 2024, PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) dan Indo Pacific Resources – perusahaan berbasis di Malaysia tanda tangani Letter of Intent (LoI) untuk pembelian sebanyak 23 unit helikopter angkut medium class untuk nantinya dioperasikan end user di Negara Asia Tenggara.
Sejak berdirinya pada tahun 1976, PTDI telah berhasil mengirimkan lebih dari 270 unit untuk berbagai jenis helikopter, tidak hanya pada sektor militer saja, namun juga untuk sektor parapublik maupun sipil. Keseluruhan unit helikopter yang telah dikirimkan tersebut merupakan produk hasil kolaborasi industri antara PTDI dengan Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) global, dalam hal ini Airbus Helicopters dan Bell Helicopters.
“Ini merupakan kesempatan yang luar biasa bagi PTDI untuk memenuhi kebutuhan 23 unit helikopter di wilayah Negara Asia Tenggara. Melalui hal ini, PTDI dapat memperluas sebaran footprint portofolio helikopter, serta diyakini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan PTDI dalam program helikopternya,” jelas Gita Amperiawan, Direktur Utama PTDI.
Untuk portofolio helikopter, PTDI memiliki kemampuan untuk melakukan kustomisasi dan modifikasi terhadap helikopter sesuai requirement dari customer, dimana PTDI juga saat ini merupakan Authorized Maintenance Center (AMC) untuk seluruh produknya yang telah dikirimkan kepada customer.

UEA menandatangani kontrak senilai $408 juta dengan pembuat kapal Indonesia PT PAL untuk pengadaan LPD sepanjang 163 meter.Merupakan LPD Terbesar yang Pernah di Bangun PT.PAL.
Rancangan LPD untuk UEA dipersenjatai dengan meriam 76 mm, stasiun senjata kendali jarak jauh (RCWS) dengan kanon 20 mm atau 30 mm, sistem senjata anti pesawat jarak dekat, dan lainnya. TNI AD Pindahkan Tank Medium Harimau untuk Amankan IKN
Sebanyak sembilan tank medium Harimau mulai ditempatkan oleh TNI Angkatan Darat sebagai bagian dari sistem pengamanan Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN). Tank Harimau akan ditempatkan di Batalyon Kavaleri 13 yang bermarkas di Tenggarong. Yonkav 13/Satya Lembuswana sendiri merupakan satuan bantuan tempur (satbanpur) di bawah Kodam VI/Mulawarman.
Tank Harimau belum lama ini diserahterimakan secara resmi oleh Menteri Pertahanan Prabowo Subianto kepada Panglima TNI Jenderal Agus Subiyanto saat rapat pimpinan TNI-Polri pada 28 Februari 2024 lalu di Mabes TNI menandai langkah signifikan dalam upaya memperkuat pertahanan Indonesia.
Pengamat militer Tasha Imansyah menjelaskan jika tank Harimau Hitam yang baru saja diserahterimakan ke TNI AD merupakan salah satu medium tank terbaik di kawasan Asia Tenggara. US Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) telah memberikan kontrak Foreign Military Sales (FMS) untuk meningkatkan tiga pesawat Angkatan Laut Indonesia (TNI AL) dengan sistem pengawasan maritim yang ditingkatkan.
Berdasarkan kontrak tersebut, perusahaan Integrated Surveillance and Defense (ISD) yang berbasis di Oregon akan meningkatkan dua pesawat patroli maritim (MPA) Dirgantara CN-235-220/CN-235-220 MP yang dioperasikan Angkatan Laut Indonesia dan memodifikasi satu pesawat King Air 350i dengan “sistem pengawasan maritim yang telah terbukti”, kata perusahaan itu dalam pernyataan yang diberikan kepada Janes pada 19 Maret.
“Solusi ISD akan terdiri dari instalasi dan integrasi (satu) radar pengawasan maritim, [satu] sensor elektro-optik/inframerah, [satu] airborne Automatic Identification System (AIS), [satu] sistem manajemen misi (MMS), dan datalink komunikasi,” bunyi pernyataan itu.
Jangka waktu pelaksanaan dan penyerahan kontrak adalah 24 bulan, tambah perusahaan, tanpa memberikan rincian lebih lanjut mengenai sistem yang akan disediakan atau nilai kontrak.
Pusat Penerbangan Angkatan Laut Indonesia (Puspenerbal) mengoperasikan enam armada CN-235-220 MPA, dan semua unit pesawat berbasis di Skuadron Udara 800 TNI Angkatan Laut di Juanda, Surabaya.
Pesawat ini memiliki kecepatan operasional 236 knot (437 km/jam), ketinggian layanan 25.000 kaki (7.620 m), dan jangkauan 1.565 n mil (2.898 km). Pesawat ini didukung oleh dua mesin turboprop General Electric CT7-9C.

PPA is a highly flexible ship with an outstanding technological standard. It has the capacity to serve multiple functions, ranging from patrol with sea rescue capacity to Civil Protection operations and first line fighting vessel.
The contract was signed by Pierroberto Folgiero, CEO and Managing Director of Fincantieri, and by the Indonesian Ministry of Defence, in the presence of Dario Deste, General Manager of the Naval Vessels Division.
The ships subject to the order - originally destined for the Italian Navy - are currently under construction and fitting at the Integrated Shipyard in Riva Trigoso-Muggiano.
The interest of the Indonesian Ministry of Defence in PPA Units stems from the Maritime Campaign in the Far East of the Francesco Morosini, the second ship of the Italian Navy's PPA class, which also stopped over in Indonesia in July 2023. The transaction can catalyze additional synergies in the operational, industrial, and technological fields between the two countries. The Units will be able to support Indonesia in protecting national interests and contribute to the stability of the delicate Indo-Pacific strategic quadrant.
As part of the transaction, Fincantieri will act as the prime contractor towards the Indonesian Ministry of Defence and will specifically coordinate the other industrial partners, including Leonardo, for the customization of the ships' combat system and the provision of related logistic services. The parties will define the relevant agreements in compliance with the applicable legislation, including that relating to transactions between related parties.
The effectiveness of the contract is subject to the necessary authorizations from the competent authorities.

There will be indeed different configurations of combat system: starting from a “soft” version for the patrol task, integrated for self-defence ability, to a “full” one, equipped for a complete defence ability. Indonesia Moving Closer To ‘Scorpene Evolved’ Submarine Deal
France has been offering Scorpene for years. On February 10, 2022, Naval Group and Indonesian state-owned shipbuilder, PT PAL Indonesia, signed an MoU on the research, development, and construction of two Scorpene submarines. Since then, both sides have engaged in numerous negotiations to realise the plan to build two Scorpene at PT PAL’s submarine construction facility in Surabaya City, East Java.
During this period, Jakarta also received submarine proposals from other countries particularly Germany and South Korea.
In October 2023, Naval Group renewed its proposal by offering the latest variant of its Scorpene family of submarines called ‘Scorpene Evolved’. It features a full Lithium-Ion Batteries (LIBs) configuration allowing a total endurance of 80 days and an operational range of more than 8,000 nautical miles. Compared to the previous variant, the Scorpene Evolved will have a lower acoustic signature and, thanks to the LIBs, able to maintain its top speed for a longer duration.
The Evolved variant is being offered in a whole local production scheme and it is estimated that approximately one-third of the total contract value, estimated at about $2.1 billion, will return to Indonesia through offsets and other collaboration initiatives.
A month later, in November 2023, Naval Group CEO, Pierre Éric Pommellet, and Indonesian Deputy Minister of Defence, Gen. (Ret.) Muhammad Herindra, met in Jakarta to discuss Scorpene Evolved’s financing.
Indonesia’ Scorpene: Latest developments
Fast forward to March 21, 2024, PT PAL stated that up to 93% of its existing facilities can be used to build Scorpene and that the actual contract could be signed soon.
On March 26, during an online seminar organised by a Jakarta-based consulting company, Semar Sentinel Indonesia, a representative from the Republic of Indonesia Fleet Command mentioned Scorpene Evolved as one of the future platforms that is still being negotiated.
In addition, on March 27, a meeting was held between officials from PT PAL and the Indonesian Defence Industry Policy Committee (KKIP) to discuss PT PAL’s readiness to locally build Scorpene with Naval Group’s support. To note, KKIP has the authority to coordinate Indonesia’s national defence industry policy and is headed by the president and minister of defence.
Naval News understands an official announcement could be imminent. A French delegation consisting of top company officials visited Indonesia’s ministry of defense this week. This was confirmed by more than two sources.
Given the continuous technological developments as well as geopolitical dynamics and the desire to become a major regional security player, in recent years the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) has become more outspoken in expressing its goal to operate a more modern and capable submarine fleet. This is also spurred by how other navies in the region are already or currently modernising their submarine fleets, thus leaving Indonesia behind in both quantity and quality.
Some of the key criteria for TNI AL’s future submarine fleet include long endurance, the ability to launch cruise missiles, and other future-proof aspects such as integration with unnamed platforms and systems.
TNI AL currently has four submarines in its inventory; one German-made Type-209/1300 and three South Korean-made Jang Bogo-class (Type-209/1400). Meanwhile, in its force design, TNI AL is supposed to operate a minimum of 12 submarines.
Given the need for more capable platforms and concern about the readiness of TNI AL’s existing submarine fleet, some may argue that the Type-209 design is no longer adequate to meet the country’s defence needs. This assessment is supported by the fact that many Type-209 users around the world such as Brazilian, Chilean, Indian, and Hellenic Navies have decided to transition to more advanced platforms.
The long-awaited plan to procure new submarines is also motivated by Jakarta’s ambition to turn defence spending into defence investment. Submarines have also been listed as one of the 10 defence platforms or systems whose technology should be mastered by the country’s domestic defence industry.
This is why foreign Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) must strategically leverage their offset offers, including transfer of technology, domestic workforce absorption, and local production scheme, to increase the chance of securing major contracts from Jakarta.
Spesifikasi Meriam Ares UT30MK2 yang Terpasang di IFV Pandur II Milik TNI
Beberapa waktu lalu, PT Pindad resmi meluncurkan desain ranpur terbarunya, yakni Pandur II IFV yang merupakan lisensi dari Excalibur Army dari Repunlik Ceko. Melansir dari akun twitter resmi PT Pindad, @pindad, ranpur Pandur II yang nantinya akan dilisensi dan dire-branding dengan nama panser Cobra tersebut terlihat telah dipasangi meriam yang diperkirakan merupakan kanon otomatis kaliber 30 mm.
Hal ini senada dengan rencana TNI-AD yang ingin mengintegrasikan ranpur Pandur II tersebut dengan meriam buatan Brazil, yakni Ares UT30MK2 yang memiliki kaliber 30 mm. Melansir dari laman indomiliter.com, Pandur II yang telah datang ke Indonesia sebanyak 11 unit akan dipersenjatai dengan meriam tersebut selain ada yang akan dipersenjatai meriam Cockerill 105 mm buatan Belgia.
Meriam Lisensi Buatan Elbit System Israel
Meriam UT30MK2 sejatinya merupakan kanon otomatis buatan pabrikan Elbit System dari Israel. Melansir dari laman resmi elbit system (elbitsystems.com), turret meriam ini mampu membawa kanon otomatis 20-30 mm tergantung permintaan dari pengguna. Untuk tipe yang digunakan oleh TNI-AD, nantinya akan mengusung jenis kanon Orbital ATK Mk 44 Bushmaster ABM (Air Burst Munition) kaliber 30 mm.
Turret atau kubah meriam ini sendiri sepenuhnya dikendalikan secara remote-control system atau yang dikenal dengan nama Remote-control Weapon System (RCWS). Sehingga, teknologi tersebut dapat meminalkan jumlah awak yang mengoperasikannya. Selain kanon otomatis 30 mm tersebut, terdapat pula senapan otomatis kaliber 7.62 mm yang terpasang coaxial atau satu arah dengan senjata utama.
Selain mengusung senjata dengan sistem senapan, turret tersebut juga dapat mengoperasikan sistem rudal anti-tank berpemandu atau ATGM (Anti-tank Guided Missile), sehingga mampu melawan tank tempur utama. Adapula 6 tabung granat asam yang terpasang di masing-masing sisi kubah meriam tersebut guna perlindungan tambahan.
Melansir dari laman militarytoday.com, kubah meriah tersebut dilapisi campuran baja aluminium sekelas STANAG 4569 level 2, 3 atau 4. Lapisan tersebut mampu menahan tembakan amunisi hingga kaliber 12.7 mm dan pecahan peluru artileri hingga kaliber 105 mm untuk perlindungan level 4. Adapula sistem pelacakan otomatis, laser ranged-finder dan juga sistem penyeimbang gyroscope untuk sistem stablisator senjata. (Zahir Zahir)
